I love those...I think Ford had great looking trucks through the 80s and 90s (before 1997). 1986 and 1996:

Beautiful Cars Appreciation Thread
I find many appealing aspects of all 3 (Mustang, Challenger, Camaro) along with the Charger. Among the last of the front engine V8 RWD American cars, in a market that has left cars behind and moved to generic CUVs, SUVs and trucks…the last of their kind. It will be a sad day when they are gone…I want one sooner or later…

That could be the Canadian pronunciation? I know there are many words that Canadians usually pronounce differently than Americans....ones I've encountered in my work experience include 'process' and 'project' (long o in Canada--prOcess vs prahcess, prOject vs prahject), Java (long a---jAHva in Canada, jaahVUH in the US), Zed for the letter Z, etc.

October peak-a-BOO
Beautiful day, don’t let it get away. Breezy fall day, in the 50s and sunny. Saw a sharp C8 in bright yellow (not my ideal color) and a clean silver Caddy XLR…always like those. Took a walk on Huntington Beach (Bay Village, Oh). IMG_6084.MOV

In American English, it would be 'plaaahd', rhymes with glad. Not sure about other regional English variants.

I like the LFA....I also really like the LC-F...more down to earth...like an SL but with reliability. The Lexus predator grille works on this car, IMO...it's something I think I would very much enjoy for a fall drive along the coast and to the beach, with a few windy back roads.

Rainy cool fall day with a bit of sun…while out chasing waterfalls, I saw a sharp bright blue current-style Mustang GT500 and a couple miles later, a C8 in a very similar color. Brandywine Falls in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. IMG_6045.MOV I think I was in about 8th grade, I remember a friend's mother drove an '83 Cutlass Supreme 2dr in that color...dark burgundy interior IIRC...I think I rode in it a couple of times..

Corvette C8 Z06 1st official tease
I tried using the visualizer on the Corvette site to go through the color choices for the Z06, but it wasn’t working. It does sound like it will get a lot of color choices inside and out like the regular Corvette. I like that the Corvette has a lot of interior color choices, instead of just dour despair gray or black like so many performance cars. Edit: tried the visualizer again on Chrome, and it worked. Spec'ed one out the way I'd want it--Z06 convertible in Caffeine, w/ the bronze wheels, with Natural dipped tan interior, 'stealth interior trim' (non-carbon fiber, which works for me, as I find carbon fiber gross).

Yeah, I’ll find something appropos in my stash to do as a BBC restomod. Maybe something offbeat like a ‘72 Impala.

Corvette C8 Z06 1st official tease
That is amazing to see that kind of power out of an NA engine..and so ordinary looking, looks like an old time hot rodder muscle car engine. A 1/25th scale version for model cars is already out, may have to get one to put in an AMT '70 Camaro or Chevelle.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/393657722118?hash=item5ba7d42506:g:XDkAAOSwfBRhfFRB

Could be. I could also see an extreme hybrid range topper model as Porsche and Ferrari have done before.

Sounds like a place for a class action lawsuit if they are selling a vehicle with a defective frame. Of course, GM will probably blame the 3rd party that manufactured said frame.

Corvette C8 Z06 1st official tease
The hybrid Corvette does sound interesting...going to be interesting to see where it fits in the lineup and how it's marketed...above the base, below the Z06? ...and I assume there is room for ZR1 at the top eventually...

I'd want a refund from GM then go shopping at the Jeep dealer for a Grand Wagoneer.

That comment shows how little you know of motorsports. Also, the C8R doesn't even race in the prototype class.. it races in the GTLMPro class in FIA WEC. Learn something about motorsports then come back.. (I’ve been a motorsports enthusiast for over 40 years and know a thing or two about the various series). Time to block you, no value in seeing your pointless posts anymore.

Random video I found on You Tube---$2000 Chinese electric truck--Chang Li Explorer--the front looks like a scaled down Silverado HD. Has a neat tilt bed.

It is a BOF vehicle, though, so swapping a frame is probably not an unusual thing, like with trucks. It's designed to be unbolted and put back together.

Corvette C8 Z06 1st official tease
Who said anything about comparing the CR-8 to an F1 car?????? You’ve truly lost the plot. Stop acting obtuse. You do realize there are many forms of racing besides F1? The Corvette has competed and won in various sports car series for years...

Corvette C8 Z06 1st official tease
Not ambiguous at all...when they talk race car, they mean the C8R. Pretty effin' obvious. No one is comparing a street car to an F1 car. But you are so obtuse, you can't see that.

'59 Edsel and a Lotus Elise. The Elise was sold in the US from '05-11..was the basis for the original Tesla Roadster. Neat little two seat mid-engined sports car...had a co-worker w/ a bright blue one in AZ, rode in it once--so tiny---scary in Scottsdale traffic w/ the all SUVs and lifted trucks on the streets....

I think both in Ohio and S Florida most of the regular 60s and 50s stuff was gone from the roads in the mid 80s (salt). There were a few 60s cars in my high school—maybe a 1/2 dozen, and only 2 from the 50s I remember—a ‘56 Ford pickup street rod and a late 50s MGA. The ‘60s cars I remember were the twins that had a pair of restored red ‘65 Mustangs—one coupe, one convertible, a rough brown ‘68 Mustang coupe, a rough blue ‘66 Mustang coupe, an orange ‘68 Road Runner, a dark blue ‘68 Charger, a gray ‘65 Coupe de Ville and a well worn ‘68 Comet 2dr.

When I was I high school, 4drs with bench seats weren’t aspirational though. They were thought of as parent and grandpa cars. Kids wanted sporty 2dr bucket seat hatchbacks—those were the cars we wanted in the mid 80s. But I had many friends that got hand-me-down sedans from their folks…I remember a pale green ‘77 LeSabre, a sweet red w/ white top ‘76 Electra Limited 2dr, a dark red ‘81 Delta 88, and a sweet triple silver ‘80 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham d’Elegance. Rode in all of them, often with 6 teenagers...they were comfortable, not cramped. Also remember a blue '75-78 Marquis 4dr and an early 80s Impala wagon. I drove my Dad’s ‘85 Town Car to school on occasion before I got my ‘87 Mustang GT.
