  1. Drizzly cloudy 45 degrees on Thanksgiving, taken a few walks up and down my street w/ the dogs, lots of people having visitors for the holiday, and I saw 1/2 dozen current generation GMC Terrains...
  2. Looks a lot better than the gray plastic in Chevys, Toyotas, etc.. it's sort of at Acura or Buick level...
  3. Apples and oranges, though...the Rivian costs more than twice what the Mazda does. The Mazda is quite nice for a cheap CUV.
  4. ^I don't care for the canted headlights on the '61-62 Chryslers, but think the similar '60 is pretty sharp, though outside my era of interest.
  5. @trinacriabobSounds like only a couple more years of the Charger and Challenger then it's game over. Both gone by 2024 and replaced by a new EV. Sad to read. https://jalopnik.com/dodge-sets-2024-death-date-for-charger-and-challenger-t-1848103833
  6. I remember laughing at the signs for that place on I-44 in June 2017 when I made my escape from Arizona drive to Ohio. Went past there early (around 7am) and it was foggy. That appears to be a Chevy 2dr sedan from around 1949.
  7. 1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Slight difference in size.
  8. It's pretty nice looking for what it is...way too small for me, but nice interior and clean exterior design.
  9. Saw this clean late 80s-early 90s Saab 900 4dr sedan. Haven’t seen one in ages, seems most of that era were hatchbacks.
  10. Someone in my area has a dark red Toronado of that vintage, a late 90s Riviera, and a late 90s Regal sedan.
  11. I think that is a late 80s Toronado? I thought it was a W-body Cutlass, but it's different. Definitely looks like an Olds steering wheel. IIRC, some Chevy and Olds models used that style of shifter in the 70s (as did the '69-70 Ford XL).
  12. I kind of like the old school column shift automatic also..
  13. I have driven many '05+ Impalas and a couple of the most recent Impalas as rentals, along w/ Malibus of the last 4 generations. Any of them would be fine daily driver/commuter cars...I'd be inclined to go with the newest I could find, so the cabin tech wouldn't be so out of date.
  14. Ok, except for the disgusting carbon fiber...hate the look of that shit, real or faux. And no cup holders, so not very usable. With a modern automatic, I see no reason for a big shifter, I like the dial approach as seen on the new GC and Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer.
  15. No point in trying to 'modernize' the styling, it's considered a classic...like other models that change slowly and evolve over decades. They have the GLS for those that want a 'modern' looking luxury SUV.
  16. My local CDJR dealer has 3 G-Dubs on their site, 2 series II at about 101-102k, and a series III at 110k.. The 12 Wagoneers in stock range from $73-88k. https://www.spitzerchryslerdodgejeepram.com/new-vehicles/?q=wagoneer&_dFR[type][0]=New&_paymentType=our_price
  17. Re: the '74 Caprice above--I like how the '75 Bel Air and '75 Impala used the '74 Caprice front end but with a different grille pattern.. And the '75 Caprice had a very different front, which I don't like as much as the Impala--I prefer the bumper on the Impala w/ the offset license plate. Then in '76, the Bel Air and Impala got the '74 Caprice front but with a different grille.. And lastly, the '76 Caprice got rectangular headlights and a different grille..
  18. I like those..kind of a larger sized version of the old Halibrand wheels that race cars used in the 50s-60s and as seen on many hot rods. A couple favorite vintage five spokes of mine are these: American Racing 200S (my brother had these on his '68 Camaro SS) And the American Racing Torque-Thrust D--these look great on '60s Mustangs and Cougars, IMO.
  19. I've seen a few W/GWs in traffic and parked at a distance, I like the front, but the sides are too flat/slab sided...needs some creases, IMO. I don't like the body color around the side windows, would look better with black pillar trim between the windows like on the GC, IMO... And as usual with Jeeps, most seem to be white (yawn...I hate white SUVs).
  20. ^ 'Gloria', by Laura Branigan. She died way too young, at age 52 in 2004. Always liked her songs...

Recent pic while out chasing waterfalls and covered bridges.
  22. Beautiful weather today, after work went over to Punderson State Park in Geauga County. Love it over there. Had a beer from the bar at the park manor and watched the sunset over the lake.
  23. Reality is complex. It will be interesting to see how the automotive market evolves over the next 10-20 years.
  24. Both are hideous looking, IMO... but the badge looks better in the center of the grille than stuck at the top. At least they changed the vertical vents that made the fender look like it fit poorly against the bumper on the '19-21.
  25. Beautiful weather this weekend...went out to see more covered bridges, visit a couple of my favorite beaches up in Ashtabula County (far NE Ohio). Saw this sharp Challenger Scat Pack at one of the bridges..great rumbly sound...
