  1. Let's forget the personal attacks on each other- and gather round to fully embrace and pat on the back the brightest member here. "CMG" as he calls himself said the Chrysler takeover rumors were rubbish, and the GM would NOT be tossing Cerberus's $11,000,000,000 in it's pocket, then picking what to keep such as Jeeps and minivans before tossing the rest of Chrysler's carcass in a ditch, like many here foolishly thought. I now say this CMG poster MUST be the reincarnation of Nostradamus. ALL HAIL NOSTRADAMUS! :AH-HA_wink:
  2. I guess the first thing that comes to mind is....
  3. LOL Big deal. A 250hp Challenger is the bottom of the line V6 entry level Challenger.

Wow, what year is that truck? I'm guessing that explains alot of his damage. A broken femur is ALOT of damage all by itself!

Wow. What stands out to me is the physical damage, your brother sure took a ton of damage, good thing to see he is getting better. MY brother hit a concrete barrier at near 100 miles per hour when he was young, in a 1965 Pontiac Parisienne. His car was alot worse looking than your brother's truck, his dash was down on his floorboard, his roof was peaked like a teepee. His 2 door hardtop looked like a 3 door hardtop, one 1/4 panel was ripped open. My brother had no seatbelt on, and he had a tiny little steering wheel that wrapped down around the steering column. He came out of it with a NASTY compound fracture of his left arm and cuts and bruises. Your brother had an airbag, and a much more padded interior, and I think he was probably going nowhere as fast, yet he sure was injured more. He'll get better, my brother did.
  6. What about GMC trucks?
  7. I bet both Hummer and Saturn will be gone. GM has to start trimming fat, and it's got to get going fast. SOMETHING has to go.

I'm going to modify a factory oval air cleaner I have to make it fit.....

My parts chasing is coming to a close, I'm still tracking down upper and lower ball joints, but my carbs came in. Two Edelbrock 500s, they are polished, I'm going to polish the intake too.....
  10. Hahaha Gotta break up Chrysler SOMEHOW.... :AH-HA_wink:
  11. Looks a little like a Fiat 131, mixed with a BMW to me... LOL

I'm sure the Jensen purist/elitist won't like the mods, but I want more performance. I'll keep the mods more or less to the powertrain, I've got more pics coming. The front end was disgusting, I've been media blasting and cleaning for days, and it's just to get the car on the road. It will come back apart completely when I redo the body, I might end up powdercoating the stuff I paint for now, depends how my wallet looks... I'm going to try for a fairly mild 500hp-ish drivetrain for now, and I'll see what brakes!
  13. Get outta here! "In doubt"? So ..... GM isn't going to squash Chrysler, take it's $11,700,000,000 and pick it's teeth with Chrysler's carcass? I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT!
  14. Strangely on the MoPar forums all the talk of the last two weeks or so of the imminent GM/Chrysler merger has now shifted. The threads there have shifted to the "Nissan/Chrysler" merger, and it's impending certainty. LOL Why nobody is willing to wait for REAL news instead of taking off and running with rumor after rumor is beyond me. Entertaining at times, but not very informative.
  15. It's a bit comical though if you think of the future C&G posts that would happen a year down the road if the merger ever DID happen. LX Chryslers would be solid proven cars with a great reputation. Chrysler (Chevrolet ) minivans would be "THE" minivan to buy. An astounding change would either happen in the GM fan's perception of Chrysler quality, or GM fans would have to think they were now selling *ahem* "junk". "Worst interiors in the world". etc etc etc This forum is in a sticky situation if you step back and look at it that way. :AH-HA_wink: I still say a merger isn't in the best interests of either auto manufacturer. Chrysler WILL NOT save GM. Period. If GM has troubles it needs to address those troubles, not try to "become the world's largest automaker" at the expense of business sense. Not try to "abosrb the competition" at the expense of domestic auto manufacturing. I'll just wait. And watch.
  16. LOL If anyone thinks GM is delaying development spending through 2010 because of a possibility of a Chrysler merger, I suggest you are clinging to straws. GM is a bigger company than a company that would RELY on a possible future merger for it's future plans. And to those who disagree, what IF the Chrysler merger happens. With Nissan. Or Renault. What happens to GM THEN?!?! Reading and spreading rumors, and conjecture over it all is great fun, it's just not realistic. No wonder the automakers are in so much trouble. Potential automobile purchasers READ THE INTERNET!

LOL That accurately sums up my response to MOST of these "rumor" threads. I highly doubt GM will entirely abandon the large SUV market. I will believe it when I see it.
  18. LOL I'm sure the "rumormill" includes alot of "journalists" with ulterior motives that aren't being made public ....... I've never seen so many crazy rumors flying around, and many are being taken as "fact". Crazy.

And for those not familiar with English cars.... LOL This is actually the upper wishbones. "A arms" to you and me.... I had to glassbead them, paint them, and I'll install new bushings as the existing ones were trashed!
  20. 50 Jensen Interceptors are being refurbished with LS2 power. so I hear. They will be called a "Jensen Interceptor S". The late 80s saw a few Jensen Interceptors built with 360 MoPar power.
  21. Well it sure wouldn't be for weight savings! :AH-HA_wink:

Have you thought about how you are going to spend the $11 billion dollars yet?!?!
  23. CMG replied to VenSeattle's post in a topic in Chrysler
You, me, Carbiz, and a couple other million people.....

It's just nuts. I've seen on some other automotive forums some guys are thinking Cerberus is actually tring to buy all of GM's auto divisions. LOL I guess it depends on which forum you are on, but the rumors swirling around go from possibilities to the utter insane.
