  1. Come back next week when the internet rumor is Ford merging with GM, your mouth will surely water! :AH-HA_wink:
  2. LOL To whom? "celebrity and status symbol"? Prius? This is one cowboy who ain't buying THAT snake oil.
  3. A clean and green IMAGE maybe, but it's environmental footprint should include the batteries, and manufacture of them as well as the eventual disposal. Pretty big footprint if ya ask me....
  4. If I had a dollar for every Chrysler rumor on the internet I would buy Chrysler myself, and build cars I want, just for me. These threads are too funny.
  5. Maybe, more power to them. I know that I sure won't.
  6. I'm assuming alot of people don't comment on the Prius's LOOKS, because that sure isn't what sells the car. Anybody who actualy thinks a Prius looks GOOD, as it is now, or this tweaking, really needs to look at the car objectively again. It's ugly. As far as an actual vehicle evaluation, the MPG numbers have been fudged in the past, have they not? It's hard to evaluate a vehicle based on lies also... It's a hybrid import of not much interest to me.

I've had that on vehicles since the early 1980s. In the mid 80's there were windshield banners sold like that as well.... Our shop truck had "Move Over" backwards on the front of the hood in 1981 or 1982....

I agree. I would NEVER dump money into an Aztec, or ANY car in that situation- unless you truly loved the car. Buy something that excites you...

I'm pretty sure Americans don't buy McLarens over here in large numbers, but I don't think that translates into "Americans HATE McLarens". Pretty dumb stuff.
  10. GMAC is making a step in the right direction hopefully. It may cost total sales numbers on vehicles to go down, but it may also provide them with a more profitable bottom line...?
  11. I'll give you a hint..... The media was reporting all the GMAC for Chrysler rumors. The media is now spreading word that deal never even made the table. So. Which one is it?
  12. LOL Some people just don't "get it" I guess...?
  13. It's simply amazing what a rumor here or a rumor there starts on the internet. AMAZING.

Nope. Chrysler bought engines from VW and elsewhere until their own 2.2 was viable to take over. Beside, the minivans have Chrysler and VW merging anyways! lol

If you can feel 5 hp in "seat of the pants" then your bum is alot better calibrated than mine. I've used Mobil 1 many a time, but not for performance increases or lower operating temps? If it works for you, more power to ya!

We did. We bought a Magnum R/T and LOVE it. We have had it for over a year, couldn't be happier.
  17. I think the economy is much worse than many figure in the U.S. EVERYBODY seems to be looking for bailouts, banks, companies, states, you name it. There is only so many bailouts a government can do...... the economy doesn't seem ripe to be saving everything and everyone....??? Tough choices.
  18. GENERAL DOOMED.
  19. Any money that *could* be used for "bailouts" is now flowing into the banking sector. Besides, the debt of GM compared to the debt of Chrysler in the late 70s isn't comparable in any way. Financial troubles will destroy domestic automakers, and the "company that is too big to go under" arguments will go the way of the banking institutions that thought the same way.....
  20. Is this the best this forum has to offer?
  21. CMG replied to Camino LS6's post in a topic in The Lounge
Yup. We have the same thing up here in Canada, a bunch of politicians taking our money with any kind of tax they can think up only to do what they do best...... put money in their pockets while we the people pay for their ineptness.

Chrysler's entry level stuff is lacking, but not by the exaggerated amount I frequently see posted ... Calibers aren't anything special until they get to the SRT level for me, the CVT trans is great as a novelty as far as I'm concerned but neither the performance or mileage is GREATLY affected, so it's not that big of a deal to me. Most of the Sebrings and entry level vans are utilitarian as far as I'm concerned, they are useful and inexpensive. They aren't stunning pieces of art lookswise, they don't have Ferrari performance or Bentley interiors. They aren't aimed at hardcore enthusiasts, they are aimed at the commuting masses who have budgets in mind. The new Dodge Ram sure looks good, which could be a nice vehicle that could sell in numbers. I want to see what the "redesigned" LX cars look like. Could be great, or could be like the "redesigned" Dakotas and Durangos of a few years ago- a step in the WRONG direction, styling wise, as far as I'm concerned.... Time will tell.....
  23. Say this again. But LOUDER. :AH-HA_wink:
  24. Yes I do. Chrysler- luxury leaning cars and minivans. Dodge- economy, utilitarian and performance oriented cars/trucks/minivans. Jeep- off road vehicles.

LOL That sums it up for me too mostly right now, though the new Rams sure look nice. I haven't driven one but those who have sure seem impressed.....
