  1. Geeze, lots of kids running around. I just turned 23 about 3 weeks ago.
  2. The 4.2L wouldn't serve the needs of the people who are in the market for a cheap, rugged truck. Why put a more powerful, more expensive engine in the W/T models getting sold through group rates to construction companies and government fleets? The 4.3L is bought and paid for, so putting it in the base-level trucks is pretty much pure profit. The 4.2L is more expensive to build and thus more expensive for customers, thus less people purchase it, meaning less money.
  3. Me, too. I can't wait to see the coupe version.
  4. Glad I'm not the only one thats noticed that Lexington seems to have A LOT of Toyota's on the roads.
  5. New Silvy, the Cheyenne was always like an overinflated balloon truck.
  6. 4- and 6-cyl Corvettes for the European market? Yeah, sure do.

  8. Happy B-day! July birthdays rock! I turned 23 three weeks ago!
  9. Northstar, stop inviting your highschool buddies! Pretty soon we're going to have to put a PG-13 rating on this website! Just kidding! Welcome, dude! Been coming to this place for 4 years now, and despite some recent bumps and bruises it rocks. Hope you have fun, you should learn a lot, I know I have!

The very last gen Aurora and the style before that. The last Eldorado. Toyota 4Runner.
  11. Its patheTic, unless you're spelling it incorrect on purpose.
  12. In Lexington? I think its a GM ad purposefully placed in Lexington because the Camry plant is right up the road and Lexington HAS to have one of the highest per capita Camry attach rates in the country.
  13. If you're on the inner loop its just before the Newtown Pike exits on the right-hand side.
  14. I dunno, pretty fancy ad for it to be from local dealers.
  15. You mispelled purdy.
  16. I'm sure its other places though, so someone else may spot one and get a snapshot.
  17. Yellowjacket is in Lexington. I'll be here in Chicago until Thursday, so I won't have a chance. If YJ is reading this, its on the inner loop New Circle just before the Newtown Pike exit on the right.
  18. The GMC already resembles the current SD, so I think the HDs will do just fine, style wise. All they have to be is big and brash, and they'll be fine.
  19. Thats damn-impressive hp numbers.
  20. On my way out of Lexington this morning, I spotted a billboard that said: "We'll see your 10... and raise you 44. 54 plants in the U.S." And it had all the brands underneath and the big blue GM badge on the right-hand side. Thats probably one of the best ads I've seen from GM in a while. I wasn't even aware that they were doing this. I think its a great jab back at Toyota.
  21. For those that actually use it for trucky stuff and just need a durable rugged truck, it won't matter to them, and they'd actually need the plain-jane interior. But like I said above, when you're buying a vehicle, ANY vehicle trucks being no exception, and you're spending $35k+ and all you're doing is hauling plywood and furniture every now and then and you really just wanted something to say "Look how much money I have!" the regular stereo insert just doesn't cut it. I mean, its a nice piano-black finish in a $23k roadster, yet in $30k, $35k+, and $40k SUVs (Acadia, Enclave, Tahoe Z71), its the same ugly cheapo insert. Just doesn't make since to me.
  22. Respectfully disagree. With the exception of the past 3 years, GM trucks have ALWAYS been conservative and never really pushed the envelope. The 99-02 style, which this is VERY much an evolution of, was conservative even for its time compared to the Ram and F150, and was just an evolution of the previous body style. I think exterior-wise these two trucks are great, especially the Sierra. Its just the interior, specifically the interior in the Z71 and Denali trims, that worry me at this point.
  23. It doesn't matter what YOU want (no offense ). People that buy upper-level trims are pretty much getting a premium/near luxury truck. Leather, sunroof, premium sound, big horsepower. The interior needs to reflect the price tag, and the same dull, cheap-ass matte-black radio just shouldn't be in a $35k+ vehicle. At least make it OPTIONAL.
  24. The extended cab door is cool as hell.
