  1. Obviously pricing won't be announced until its closer to production, but any guestimates? I figure $27k for a FWD with cloth seating and basic equipment.
  2. The Impala doesn't NEED a V8, its just cheaper to toss a small-block in there than a 3.6L with D/I. What FWD-only car needs 300 hp?
  3. Whats happening to the 4Runner? Its currently the same size as the Highlander, only RWD and not capable of 7-passenger seating. If Highlander grows, which it will, where does that leave the Tacoma-based 4Runner?
  4. Me, too. The taillights could have been shaped differently as well.
  5. Its a bit larger than the Murano, yes? I don't think the Murano is capable of 7/8 passenger seating.
  6. This and the Outlook should be really competitive. The Pilot just got an MCE, so its not due for any changes for at least 2-3 years. Highlander is up for a redo, though, or should be its a couple years old now, so we'll see how they'll stack up against it when that happens. But If GM can get MCEs out in a timely manner and keep these up to date with powertrains and equipment, there's no reason the Lambdas shouldn't sell every model built, that I can see.
  7. What do we know about the UV8? But yeah, I like your idea, too.
  8. Noticably similar, but differentiated enough to HOPEFULLY not compete for the same buyers. Side not, here's a few things I'd like to see in Denali form. D/I 3.6L 300hp V6 AWD 20-inch rims Blue-slate, black, red-slate, beige leather interior (suede inserts optional) Suede covered upper-dash
  9. Thats because you're living in the past. Its 2006...your antiquated idea of what makes an SUV an SUV is not parallel to what the market wants.
  10. I'm looking forward to the Denali model. Suede-covered upper dash?
  11. Boy, good thing you're not running the show at GM, we could consider the company as good as dead.
  12. Anyway, outstanding vehicle inside and out. Will all 3.6L equipt vehicles get the new DI version, or is that reserved for Cadillac and upscale models of certain vehicles?

They are asinine...especially when you see one on the rear fender of a friggin Corvette.
  14. Eh, 4 doors, rear hatch, 4WD, high ground clearance...its an SUV, in spirit if not practice.
  15. Square root of 1000000 is 1000.
  16. Our Escape is just a passenger vehicle. Hell, it doesn't even HAVE a hitch.
  17. LCD. Plasma's only have a shelf life of about 6 years at the moment. And during those six years, the picture gets dimmer and dimmer and dimmer as the plasma burns out.
  18. Thats the 06 press release.
  19. Looks like GM isn't the only MFG that is having a harder time selling trucks/SUVs. But geeze, IS sales up almost 1000%!!
  20. Not that I have anything to back this up, but I think this will be a continuing trend if the General continues to pull its support of the fleet/rental market. Someone HAS to pick up the slack, yeah? I mean hell, friend's mom came up and rented a car, it was an 06 Maxima.
  21. Are they going to do ANYTHING to help these two POS trucks? I mean really, they were outclasses the minute they went on sale.
  22. Typical GM, slap a radio insert into a slab of black plastic. I guess this is just a stop-gap until the redesign in CY08/09, so it will do I guess.

My wife likes it, and she's a Ford Girl.
  24. Wow...looks like DCX got its interior design up to standards. Thats better than anything GM has in the same class, hopefully the non-nav consoles are integrated as nice.
