Apparently. Although part of the problem may be that the largest Jeep dealership in the area shut down last fall (the accompanying Chrysler/Dodge dealer shut down a month or two ago) and no other area dealerships had room to really add any Jeeps to their lots. The Chrysler/Kia/Nissan store ended up tacking Jeep on, but they have no room to expand the Chrysler/Jeep side of things because of a liquor store.

Jeep dealer basically said at the time its nearly impossible to get ahold of a Patriot. I can get my hands on a Mazda 5 or a Honda Element through C4C.
  3. I'm surprised Buick didn't get the G3.

Isn't the Sonata built in Alabama? All the other automakers are moving jobs out of American $h!holes, Hyundai is bringing jobs to one of those places.
  5. Thanks for the link PCS, I think we'll be ordering.

Oddly enough, this did happen on a beer run.

I just dont see any reason for a man to have his penis exposed near an open door.

I guess that puts things into perspective. Still dont see how that would happen.

  12. Linkypoo Attention car collectors or anyone who wants to ride in style. This car is priced to sell quickly at 3,000. NADA retail ranges from low of $3,038 to a high of $10,699 with an average retail of $7,830. The odometer only shows, 53k miles. Title indicates these are actual miles. Lack of wear and tear on the vehicles seems to support this. Cold AC and interior is clean. Tires are good, original hub caps are in excellent condition. Motor and transmission work fine. Flexible inserts around bumpers are in excellent condition. Body is excellent with no rust. There is some slight oxidation on the hood and roof. The vinyl top does need repair.

AWD stick would be the way to go, finding one is the problem. The Jeep/Chrysler/Nissan/Kia dealership has one Wrangler and one Grand Cherokee, thats it for Jeep inventory. Wow, the 3 dealerships within 30 miles of me have a combined 11 Jeeps in stock, none of them Patriots.

The only Jeep dealership left in the area doesn't have any in stock. The Patriot would fit all my needs, it has room for 4, it can haul a kayak or two, it has some cargo room, and its priced right, plus C4C compatible. Not as fuel efficient as the Prius, but I could replace two cars with one. Its tempting.

Has anyone had any real time in a Patriot? Just kinda curious right now, throwing some ideas around.

You're with the wrong company. A lot of places have accident forgiveness. Allstate has new car replacement. As far as tickets go, you're far better off taking the $100 to a lawyer than to the courthouse. The fees may end up being more than the cost of the ticket, but your insurance wont be effected. Or, even cheaper, go talk to the prosecuting attorney yourself, unless you have a terrible record, they'll usually reduce it to a non-moving violation. Or ask for a continuance or two for your trial and hope the issuing officer doesn't show up.
  17. I've never met a person who was thrilled with the idea of a job in a factory. I'm sure they're out there, but its a dying breed.
  18. The 128i automatic gets 22, the manual (which is what I checked last night) gets 21, same with the 328i. If Cadillac did have something to offer CARS buyers, they'd at least be at a marketing advantage. It may not net them many buyers, but at least they could run commercials saying "We have fuel efficient cars available" which might help shake the stigma of the old boat Caddy.
  19. Americans want things cheap. Americans want to make a lot of money. Americans dont want to make things. Doesn't sound like a recipe for success.
  20. Cadillac doesn't have any vehicles that qualify for the CARS program. The only BMWs that do are the diesels, not even the tine 128i does.

  22. A new Sam's club just opened in Springfield, it the second one in town. They supposedly had 1,200 applicants for 300 jobs, but all told, its a bad thing for town, just added congestion on the south side of town.

If that doesn't work out, I have pictures of something you can get right here in the States on my cell phone. Its a "Cavimino", even says so on the thin sheetmetal tailgate. Just imagine and 80's Cavalier coupe, cut off behind the back doors, with a makeshift bed welded on.

Thanks guys. Its been a whirlwind weekend with last minute reservations for everything. The only person who knew before we left town was my ex, and that was just because she wanted to know why I was dropping our son off on Friday night. I called and asked a friend to feed the dogs, so he was the second person to know and as far as I know, only those two knew before we got hitched.
