  1. My wife is one of the biggest haters of American cars. In her mind - GM/Ford/Chrysler = crap. We were driving home a few nights ago, and were passed by a red H3. She poked me and said "I WANT one of those. They're soo cool". The H3 is changing people's perception of GM product. -RBB

  7. I saw one, too in St. Louis proper. Going very fast in the other direction. if it weren't for the nostril, I wouldn't have known the difference from the brief glance I got. -RBB
  8. I got to drive one of those at ASIM St. Louis. That thing is hella fun! Good power, and very easy to drive very fast. I came away impressed. -RBB

Compare the front facia of this: to this: That's the GXP nose with a deeper grill. Agreed with those that say the side sills and spoiler is a bit much. I think, however, those have as much chance of seeing production as did the add-on bits on the SEMA Aveo from last year. -RBB
  10. Actually, GM's problem has been that they've made their Buicks and Cadillacs interiors almost as nice as Toyotas and Hondas, then lowered the quality on the lesser models so you couldn't get an interior in a Chevy that was the same as a Caddy or a Buick. But they're getting better. -RBB

  14. Yeah, I got this weird one today, too: What's that all about? -RBB
  15. That's a nice take on the current Ford car and truck grills - incorporating the three-bar car grill with the nostrils of the trucks. Overall, though, it's nothing special. I hate to judge too much based on a sketch. -RBB

  20. I believe Car and Driver reviewed it a few months back. (EDIT - Yep, here's the link to the review.) They're leasing the car only, much as GM did with the EV1. I believe the vast majority of these have been leased to government agencies and private companies, not individuals. As others have stated, they're leasing them at well below cost, taking the financial hit as a PR move. -RBB

You may want to edit this before ocnblu gets a hold of it.... -RBB
  22. They wouldn't be the first manufacturer to come out with a fuel cell vehicle. These are already on the streets in Cali: Honda Delivers FCX Fuel Cell Vehicle to World’s First Individual Customer Now, an acceptable fuel cell vehicle, that's another story. -RBB

GM seems to have done a 180, going from "angry eyes" on the current Silverado to a "smiley face" on the new Yukon. Overall, I like it, but I agree with those that say the nose is too soft. Make the grill taller, wider, and with sharper edges and it would be much better looking, IMO. [EDIT] The more I think about it, I want to see some non-GM photos before I make a final judgement. Overall I really like the design, and I'm hopeful some real world looks, or at least a competent photographer, will allow a more attractive nose to shine through. -RBB
