Edmunds: 2006 Buick Lucerne Full Test
I know - just responding to these: I agree that the article has its flaws, and IMO does come off as baised. But, despite that, there are legitimate points. Fuel economy seems to be one of them. -RBB

The other zetas
At minimum, what should be built: Chevy - Camaro (sports coupe), Chevelle (sedan) Pontiac - GTO (sports tourer/GT class) Buick - Invicta (sedan) What would be nice, if a business case could be made: Chevy - Monte Carlo (sport tourer, cheaper than GTO) Pontiac - G8/Bonneville (sports sedan, step above the Chevelle) Buick - Velite (near-lux coupe/conv.) Generally, Chevies (with the exception of the Camaro) should be value and family-oriented, with SS models being sport oriented. Pontiac should be sport oriented, with GTP/GXP versions outperforming Chevies. Buicks should be luxury-oriented, ideally with a GS version that's more sport/lux. -RBB

Edmunds: 2006 Buick Lucerne Full Test
With just a cursory search, I've found only one other review where they mention observed fuel economy: Fuel Economy - C/D-observed: 15 mpg -RBB

It looks phenominal, though IMO the front end is this close to being overwrought. Overall, I love what I see. The interior looks to be miles ahead of any other Caddy, the Escalade included. Hopefully materials will be of a quality consistent of it's competition. One question on the interior - Where would they put the nav screen?: -RBB

Car Spotting
I saw one of those for the first time recently, too. I know the C6 platform has a long front overhang, but putting that prominent grill on the nose really seems to accentuate it. -RBB

Some quality writing courtesy of the May 2006 C&D
Come on now. Even though they're biased, I enjoy reading C&D for the smart-assed, irreverent comments like this. They typically don't take themselves too seriously. No one here is actually defending the Montana, right? -RBB

Old PT Cruiser: New PT Cruiser: Differences: Scalloped headlights New Bumper with front vents truncates the redesigned grill (personally I hate that change) Aforementioned new "jeweled" taillights -RBB

Car Spotting
I've seen ½ dozen Torrents in the last week. I like the looks of the Equinox, and I'm against blatant rebadging, but darned if that Torrent doesn't look HOT in Blue Streak Metallic and 17's: (though those are 16's) -RBB

Car Spotting
I saw an '07 S550 yesterday. Also a previous-gen S500 coupe, and two new ML500s. And three different solstices on the road. It's better in person than I thought it'd be, but it's not as elegant as the previous-gen models. -RBB
