I think you hit it right on. Add to that it's so big that it would have a hard time going down most of their roads. It's not bad car, just a little too much for them. There is a good chance it would have been a hit in the states though.

Cadillac - Just not smart to give a baby car to this division in any way. It would dilute the brand just like the 1 series and A class have diluted BMW and Mercedes. Buick - Now I know some of you might think I'm crazy here, but hear me out. This size of car for Buick would be a major hit in their biggest market, China, plus it would bring in a whole new group of people into the dealership here in the States. If done right it could fit in perfect with Buicks new direction. This would most likley need to be front wheel drive to fit in with the rest of the lineup. Chevrolet - No "premium" small car should be done here. A low cost high quality small car needs to be done instead. Saab - Wow could they have fun introducing a small car that had resemblence to the Saabs of the 60s. I have no doubt people would be all over it. It would also help Saab with their world wide sales #s. Saturn - If Opel has it, so then should Saturn. The Corsa seems small enough and cheap enough for now. Maybe adding some diesels from Opel would make more sense than smaller cars. Pontiac - Everytime a magazine gets a hold of the Mini they fall in love with it's sporty small style. A super small rear wheel drive car would fit perfect with Pontiac just like it does with BMW. If they want Pontiac to be a lower cost BMW, then this would be perfect. RECAP; Buick, Saab and Pontiac are the only brands that should be considered for such a car. Saab and Buick could easily share the chassis, but Pontiac would need something totally different.

That's ok, the GM plants are still rated #1 in quality and at the end of the day that's all that matters.

Not a bad looking vehicle, and much more active lifestyle oriented than the Volt. The big question, will Saturn get this when Chevrolet gets the Volt? Will Cadillac get their version with a hydrogen engine at the same time? Using all three divisions to introduce 3 different types of hybrids . . . hmmmm

Though I would not totally agree with the sucking part, the Taurus was a 1986 model, I do understand the point of the 3-cyl. I wonder how marketing a 3-cyl would go, but on the other hand, maybe in todays high gas mileage minded group it might be more popular than a 4-cyl.

Wow, GM seems to be going on the little cars with full force now days. Maybe that "luxury" mini-car would be a perfect Saab. It would help elevate the brands sales world wide and bring in new people to the fold. If they did it with the look of the Saabs of the 60s I'm sure people would be all over the "cuteness" of it just like the Mini.

Looks very Dodge in nature. I thought they were finally going to put some effort on the interiors. What happened? This one looks just as cheap as the minivans and the Sebring.

As long as GM continues (Malibu, CTS) to put effort into their cars like they have their trucks it will only get better.

I got a chance to check out the Buick today with my own eyes (previous days have been to cloudy and wet), and the frame is definitely bent. Anyone know the cost to make it straight? Just surface repairs are going to be $1500 to $1800. The repair shop is 100% sure there are issues underneath. **Hubcaps not on car, as these are winter tires**

It looks alittle scary, but then again driving anything the upper middle class Indian can afford on Indian roads is pretty scary.

Since the frame is crooked, I would rather they total it than deal with issues down the road.

I like it. GM has needed a true off-roader for a long time. Not meaning other GM vehicles go off-road, but nothing really challenges the Wrangler at this point (the fj is a joke with plastic).

It doesn't snow here often, and when it does they don't clear the roads. Well, the Buick decided to go one way and I wanted to go another. Unfortunetly the Buick headed towards a dirt wall. I hit it hard enough to crack up the driver's side fender, mess up the bumper and I'm sure more. When there is more light I'll be able to check it out better. For the record, this is my first on road accident.

I'm glad I'm not going. Nothing exciting enough for me to make the trip.

Yeah, time to update. 44. 2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS (made $1800 in a little over 1 month of owning it.) 45. ROACH III; 1994 Chevrolet Caprice The HHR and PA are for sale. I'm hoping the HHR sells so I have an excuse to keep the PA for a while. It ranks up there on one of my all time favorite cars that I've owned.

For me it's Buick. Reliable, low cost (purchase, repairs, maintenance, etc), and most importantly, they usually came from old people who took great care of them. None of our Buicks have ever let us down. Yeah, they float like a boat, but when cruising down I-5 at 80+mph, the cops ignore it and I feel like I'm sitting in my living room relaxing.
