Geneva Motor Show: BMW Crowds The Showroom With The 2015 4-Series Gran Coupe: Comments
They are somewhat since the 2-Series is the sister car to 1-Series Hatchback. Reportedly, the Active Tourer (BMW's first FWD model) will be wearing the 2-Series moniker as well. It will; there was a spy shot of the FWD-based MPV wearing a 2-something designation... This one I can understand as it is targeting the 5-door A5 buyers, but the FWD MPV naming as a 2-Series whent he coupe/convertible stay as RWD models is really weird to say the least... The Active Tourer is more of a minivan/tall wagon, though...I wonder though if they will have a 2 series Gran Coupe like this..niches within niches with niches.. It'll be named the 2-Series GT apparently... Since the 2-Series is RWD it's kinda strange to pair the two IMHO... Don't think there will be a 2-Series Grand Coupe; this 4-door coupe thing doesn't fit well with smaller cars like the 2-Series...

Cadillac News: Cadillac Answers The "How Can We Get You Into An ELR" Question
There is a justification if the Volt is sold at a heavy loss... Then own up to it, stop selling it and call the "green" experiment a misstep. Or try and have it (and the ELR as well) as an greenimage booster for a company known for full-size SUVs... Which is the role the Volt+ELR play IMHO... They're PR machines first and foremost.

Cadillac News: Peeking At Global Cadillac VP's Wishlist
I see Cadillac leveraging tha Alpha platform with CUVs: Something ATS sized and CTS sized for starters; with maybe a smaller one and a larger one (Gamma and Lambda?)... Re the diesels, IDK what the Hell GM has been wondering and thinking about all these years... If yuo're not happy with what you got in-house, just outsource a diesel engine FFS...

Lincoln News: Lincoln Unveils the 2015 Lincoln Navigator
The Navigator's main competition is the Yukon and Escalade, I suppose. Also the Lexus LX and Infiniti QX..the big truck-based V8 luxo SUVs. I can't imagine anyone cross shopping the Navi w/ European SUVs, though. As far as Lincoln sedans and CUVs, they target Acura, Buick, and the appliance end of Lexus (ES/RX), I would say... So...basically exactly what Mercury was allegedly attempting to target, then, right? Well, Mercury was the step-up from Ford and below the then-Luxury brand Lincoln, so... Yes, Lincoln went downmarket.

I think neither the liftback nor the wagon from the Insignia range would be successfull in the US.- Cadillac News: Spying: Cadillac's Flagship Is Alive!
Don't know exactly what GM's rating of the engines for the LTS, but with a 410HP TT V-6 on the shelf I think the step up should be more than just the extra 50HP the LT-1 delivers... the supercharged V8 can easily be offered in a 490HP-510HP trim with a tune around 600HP-620HP as their top offering. I agree in doubting GM will do a V-12 for this thing...- Happy Birthday, 67ImpSS

That 4-Series interior has a fold-down armrest. It wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me personally but if one is picky regarding the little details, it does show an apparent lack of attention to detail...- Cadillac News: Rumorpile: ATS-V Packing A 425 Horsepower Twin-Turbo V6

Live shots confirm that front logo is IMHO oddly placed in the grille... Other than that, it's a nice looking car! Meither the blue nor the white one seem to have the LED lighting up front, though... So the one on the stand at NAIAS is one with the Z07 package (transparent thingy on the rear spoiler)... Aggressive, very aggressive... I am wondering if there will be a C7 ZR1, though I could see this engine generating some 20hp-to-30hp more (or whatever hp increase would offset the higher weight) for a fully loaded, equipment-wise, ZR1 to top out the Corvette range- New forum theme/skin I see today..
Same thoughts here: little darker background would make for a contrast that's easier for the eyes when reading the forums. - REGAL : THE FUTURE
