Another LaxSoup spy pic
I too don't see the need for this car. Seems like a waste of time and money for 1 model year and a few thousand sales if thier lucky.

Lutz Likes the Tundra
Yeh, I was there last summer and I took some pics in the area.

Volt could of been mentioned and GM picking both awards is worth mentioning. Would kind of backlash are you sugesting? Are jounalists tired of seeing Toyota winning?

Troubled auto industry could shift out of Canada
No but a lot of the small suppliers will probably continue to offshore to low cost places.

F-ing media
Monday's NBC news did a small peice basically saying the domestics are fighting to survive with Ford's CEO saying that Toyota is the best and that Ford will do everything it can to copy Toyota. No mention of the Voltz or GM winning both awards on Sunday. Sometimes it better not to watch. Poll update: People who would buy an American car are ahead by 300 votes now. This must be circulating in the Ren Center.

Lutz Likes the Tundra
A few too many Very's in his quote but he said what he had to say. It is a very nice truck and will be a tough competitor.

Hold on, new Impala fans
I wasn't expecting it any sooner then next year. The last thing I want is for them to be showing it 18 or 24 months before its on sale.

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu
Go to GMTV and see the official intro from this morning. It looks much better than the pics we've seen. Its a dam nice car for the money. Its MPG numbers are not down their just based on the new EPA rules that apply for 08. It might be missing NAV and BT but it has ONSTAR turn by turn, stabilitrak, and remote vehicle start that others don't offer.

GM Wins Car AND Truck of the Year!!
This is great news. Congrats to GM for these 2 wins. I'm very surprised the Aura beat the Camry. This should be a shot in the arm for Aura sales.

Who is going to the 2007 NAIAS this year?
I'm going on the 19th for the 6th straight year. I always go on the Friday since its a bit quieter than the weekend days but still really busy. Then on the Saturday we go to a museum or the Henry Ford but we are starting to run out of things to do. Thinking of maybe driving to Lansing or Ann Arbor for the day for a change, are there things to see there?

Dec 2006 Sales: General Motors Corp
Another ugly month with sales off 50K compared to last year. There wasn't even any PR bull about retail sales being up either in December so they probaly sucked too. The only Vehicle worth mentioning for GM in 06 is the Impala. With sales up by 43K for the year the Impala is the MVP for 06. Too bad the Impala's gains came at the expense of the Malibu which was down 40K.

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu
I saw it but I don't get it, all models will be available with the 6?

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu
Like the chrome trim around the licence plate in rear, the greenish dash lights look 60ish and different, don't like that there is no body side molding, I will have to park even farther away in parking lots and call me old fashion but I will miss the optional rear spoiler.

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu
These pics are an unexpected surprise on what I thought would be a quiet news day. Don't know if I'm in love with it but its no doubt a big improvement and very competitive in its class. I will have to see it in person before I decide. I'm surprised and happy they dumped the 3.5 and made the 3.6 the only V6. Hope there's not too big of a price jump between the base and uplevel models.
