I'd have to add a 1989 Turbo Trans Am to the list even if it nowhere near the car you're thinking of. I'd also second the Buick GNX and add a couple of older cars to the list. 1970 Buick GSX Convertible 1968 Camaro RS/SS Convertible 1957 Nomad
  8. I really enjoy 'Christmas Eve/Sarajevo' by The Trans Siberian Orchestra but it takes a back seat to most everything done my Mannheim Steamroller. Their version of 'Stille Nacht' still is one of my favorite songs even after about 20 years. I enjoy their entire first Christmas album. After that, most Christmas music doesn't do much for me. Its fine to listen to but gets old very quick.
  9. Fantastic, Hmmm, maybe you vould go back and add '03 through '06 for us? I am sure there are lots of vehicles (?) for you to consider. Thanks for the very early morning laugh, though.
  10. I shipped pictures of my 71 Camaro and my 72 Skylark. Hope you like them.
  11. Dang it, I have some pics I would like to send you of the Skylark and the 71 RS Z/28 but they aren't large enough. I think I will try to modify a couple and see how they work.

I am very sorry to hear about this Dave. Stay strong for yourself and your friend's family. This is way I am so forceful about people being responsible driver's. Too many are hurt by drinking and driving as well as other irresponsible actions on the road.
  14. That was a Eclipse painted to commemorate the new 787 Dreamliner. They placard called it a Dreamliner Eclipse. It was a fun show and Tammy and I had a blast getting pictures. I can't wait until the images start coming out from the bigger shows.

Tammy & I both voted already. We sat down this past weekend and went over each issue and candidate and decided our votes. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to vote.

  17. You know, with the way tonight has gone, I am really leaning towards a beer and a shot of whiskey this coming morning before bed. I love the taste of coffee but it isn't the right thing for me during the weekday mornings. I drink most of my coffee between midnight and 2AM.
  18. You wouldn't necessarily be in the same boat. In fact, you'd have a good chance at setting yourself up for a good education while serving. The GI Bill is available and there is a lot of tuition assistance for those in the armed services as well. You'd also get a chance to learn a useful trade and one that you can use give yourself a kickstart after leaving the service. My suggestion is for you to talk to a recruiter and have them give you documents on what is available to you for education and career fields. Tell them straight out you want time to think about it. You can also check out information at www.airforce.com and I am sure the navy has a similar site that can give you a lot of information. After gathering your facts, think hard. I personally think it is a good thing for people to serve their country and it provides a chance to learn a lot but I know that it is not for everyone. You alone can decide if it will help you go where you want to go. BTW, I am an Air Force reservists that works civil service and trains other reservists. So, I know how imprtant it can be for people to check out the service carefully and make a decision that is right for them. Whatever you do decide, good luck.
  19. I had my 12 year old son go out with his little sister. That way if people think he's too old, at least he can say he's just keeping his sister safe. I heard they pulled in quite a haul. Hmmm, is a 'daddy tax' wrong??
  20. They were showing off the detail work from the restoration of the car. Everything on that Camaro shined.
  21. Top pick was an Avalanche and all the others were SUVs. I wonder why I have all of those Camaros? I only need one truck and that's covered well. After that its all fun and games.
  22. I really liked it. To me it is a massive improvement in looks over the last generation, especially the interior. I thought the setup on the Cheyenne Concept was fantastic. They were taking pictures of people with it and then they gave you a code to pull the pic off the internet. The card with the code had a picture of the silver Camaro concept on it so people wanted to get their picture taken just to get the card. That HHR panel wagon looked very nice as well. It was better in person than the pictures showed. I will say that i finally looked close to Toyota's FJ Cruiser. I personally don't think they could have made a much uglier vehicle.
  23. Beer, I'm a graveshift worker so mornings are the end of a long work night for me. Time for a drink and then to bed.
  24. This time I found an 89 Camaro RS Convertible. The guy was asking $1700 and we got it for $1450. It has the 305 TBI engine with an auto. It runs and drives great and only could use a minor tuneup and tranny servicing. The paint is faded but there are only 2 small dents on the car. The top needs to be replaced badly. The Camaro was next to a house that burned down and the top was burned in areas and some of the paint was overheated. More pics can be seen here. I have been wanting another 3rd gen convertible since I sold my 90 Rs to my brother a few years ago. Now I have another to play with.
