Cool Oddball Vintage cars
I believe it's a custom, but could be wrong. I like the look of it and the rarity. Here's the rearview.

Best three rock and roll songs EVER???
There is no debate over my no 1 pick. 1. Oasis - 'Wonderwall' (simply the best crafted pop/rock song in history, it will never be topped) 2. Tied: Tragically Hip - 'So Hard Done By' / R.E.M. - 'What's Your Frequency Kenneth' (the whole Monster album for that matter) 3. Tied: David Bowie - 'Rebel, Rebel' / The Who - 'Magic Bus'

Plymouth
Crap, I didn't know about the Plymouth Trail Duster!! Thanks for enlightening me....can't believe I didn't know this. I still think big 2 door sport utes are cool.

Hillarious...I thought that was a statue, but it looks to be a real chick. She seems to be walking on the flower bed. Silly girl.

'62 Pontiac Catalina
This is definitely a custom job....just fun to see what could have been. It was done by a guy who, when the '62 came out, told the salesman that he wanted it in the bubbletop. Salesman said no longer available and that Chevy still had it. The guy, being a diehard Pontiac guy walked out. Fast forward many years later, he decided to make his own. Love the look of it. And Blu, I totally get what you are saying about your roofline, it definitely pays homage to the bubbletop. My favorite style of all time. I like too how the rear deck at the base of the rear window just very slightly comes up to meet the slim pillar.

'62 Pontiac Catalina
Who said there wasn't a 1962 Pontiac Catalina bubbletop available, and that only the '62 Chevy could be had as such?

Edsel and Why It Failed
I think the Edsel has an undeserved rap for being a failure as a car. It was more a victim of circumstance. It's kind of Ford's 'Corvair'? Only Ford gave up very quickly on this car. I wonder why that was. Really only two years as a true Edsel. The third being more a rebadged Ford.

Some more odds and ends
I'm no expert, but I've left cars that long and longer and didn't do any prep before heading out on the road. Didn't seem to be any ill-effects.

Edsel and Why It Failed
I got curious about 1958 and the economic downturn. So I just researched abit on the web. It was much more serious than I had thought. It was worldwide and somewhat similar to what's happening currently. Did not know that.

There aren't many good photos of the '62 Lincoln. I have a sense they don't photograph well. Look much better in person.

Plymouth
That's a very good photo of that car. That design is truely iconic of the era. If a car could look happy, it would be the '57 Plymouth. I don't care if they're dated to some, but I luv fins!!!! When you really look at it, they are no different than the profiles of todays cars with spoilers and the higher rear ends with lower fronts, just a different interpretation. It still reads as wedge shaped. Interesting sidenote. I read that the Plymouth Fury orginally came only in a rich white, with gold accents. The Fury used in the movie 'Christine' was painted red...not a factory color for that car.

Japan, INC. may be in real trouble...
They seemed untouchable. Of course when the recovery happens, they will start to rebound. I makes me wonder if the Americans and Canadians will rethink their vehicle purchases when that time comes. Maybe not so blindly supportive of offshore car companies. I hope so anyways.

Just the sheer audacity of designing tailights like that makes me like it. Beautiful Cadillac.
