Gas mileage you get
Lets see...the Impala gets about 32 on the highway, 24 in the city, coming up to about 27 combined. The Cobalt gets about 26 in the city, 35 on the highway, coming in right at 30 combined. The '76 Chevy truck gets 8, no matter what, it gets 8, coming in for a combined mileage of 8. I'm happy with all of the number, especially my truck because it gets REALLY easy to calculate my range.

HD Truck Showdown: Chevy vs. Ford vs. Dodge
I'm glad to see that the Chevy HD trucks are able to hold up, although they are the oldest of the trucks in the competition, I'm a Chevy/GMC truck guy without any doubt and I don't see the need of a mega-crew cab truck, although a regular crew cab duallie, with an 8-ft bed, 5th wheel hitch Duramax and an Allison does sound like the best idea for me.

Today's kids cynical
I saw cars on friday night and I, my wife, my father in law, brother in law, and our whole church laughed from about 30-seconds into it until after the credits were rolling. My favorite line "I'm as happy as a tornado in a tralier park!". It was a great movie and the voice cast fit great. Richard Petty as "The King" Mrs. Petty as his wife, "Junior' was obvious to me (not to some others, but definitely to me) even having Darrell Waltrip as one of the annoucers was great. And I have to say that Larry the Cable Guy really made the movie.

Yay
Damn, and I thought I'd get some bloody RAIN outta this storm.....

....
It certainly jumps out at you, but I'm not 100% sold on it. I would have really rather seen more ties back to the "tried, true, IMHO real-trucks" from the '73-'87 body era, but this one looks good. The crew cab looks WAY out of proportion, although I kinda thought that's what the Avalanche was supposed to take care of.....oh well c'est la vie. I wouldn't mind seeing a regular or extended cab truck with a fleetside bed.

Do you like where you live...
I like Montgomery. Its growing fairly well and there are things to do if you like the outdoors. Two good malls if you're a shopping fart, but still a TON of wooded areas where you can more or less just go and get lost in the trees. There's also the Alabama River, which runs right through the city so if you like skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, or fishing you don't have to go far to do it. The beaches are about 3 hours away plus the attractions I really like (the USS Alabama and USS Drum). Traffic isn't too horrible, and for the most part the people are nice.

Ruling is near on GM engine coolant
I've heard this battle go back and forth, back and forth, like people who go back and forth about the merits/detriments of synthetic oils vs dino juice (regular oil). I've got Dex-Cool in both of my newer vehicles, I've had no problems, the hoses were replaced at 105,000-miles, along with the coolant (kinda hard to not replace the coolant when you yank ALL the hoses off)...no problems, don't count on having problems....to each their own.

GM searches for 200,000 mile club
They are tough old trucks, the '73-'87 models....I can't knock their reliability.

GM searches for 200,000 mile club
Correction on my previous statement of mileage for MY truck. It has 273,895-miles on the odometer. My dad's '92 C1500 W/T package with the 4.3L V6 and 5-speed manual is currently at 406,755 miles.....So call our trucks reliable, I dare ya!

Something looks out of place
I gotta agree with all of y'all. It looks like polished $h!, which means they just got $h! everywhere. I swear, the ergonomics for the radio are better in my 76 Chevy that's 30 years old than this thing!

Your enemies on C&G
I don't think I have any enemies here, sure I've agreed to disagree with some people, but I haven't down right hated anyone....now if y'all hate me, then that's your opinion, and like an asshole, everyone has one.

17 Terrorists arrested in Ontario
You know....I say we take them, rope them to a couple of GMT900s and drag them through the streets nekkid while the nice people from Canada stone them (oh wait, I might upset someones precious sensibilities by saying that, oh f@#king well).

June Buggies
Saw two of the new "full-size" Merc Benz SUVs....I can't remember what they're calling them. They looked okay, but I dunno, just not entirely right. That's about all I've seen that's really caught my eye here recently other than a Trailblazer SS.

Memorial Day project
Yeah, I guess I could get the calipers off and spray and clear them just like I did the badges on the front doors and trunk lid, although they are already a silvery aluminum color.

X-Men - III
I saw the movie, liked it although I agree, it seemed a little too final. I heard about the part at the end but I couldn't stay seeing as my transportation to the movie jumped up the moment the credits started to roll (took the entire church to the movies, rode with one of the younger girls in the church to help "evaluate" her driving abilities, or lack there of)...

Pictures!
That's just bad there...

Pictures!
Yeah, a front just moved through so the temps dropped a little and so did the humidity. It rained a ton here last night and this morning, but so far its turned into a really nice day.

Trailblazer SS
Yeah, I have to agree with you on that one, the interior overall could use some work, but its better than some vehicles I've seen.

Pictures!
All right, y'all want pictures, so here's pictures. Me+Penguin Suit= Eddie's prom in 2001 Wifey and I Mom, Dad, Wifey and I (our wedding) Cuttin' the cake, note: I built the Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr models Ringbearer: My 4 year old cousin Matthew, Me, Dad, Uncle William, USMC Lance Corporal Alex Long (brother in law), and cousin Jason all in our penguin suits for the wedding And finally.... Me, senior picture, facial hair delete... Damn, I can't believe I read through, and laughed, and laughed and almost fell out of the chair and ignored my wife pleading for me to come to bed just to post those.....

Oasis Tops Beatles
I agree with Josh one this one.

Trailblazer SS
That's what I was thinking. I mean, you load up the family, then go perform LONG smokey burnouts with them in there for giggles sake.

Transformers
And yes, there was a first generation firetruck called Inferno (I have him, along with Optimus Prime, and Ultra Magnus, and Grimlock, and the Aerialbots...) I can't help but say that the Camaro looks awesome, but I still think that Bumblebee should be a bug... I could see Megatron as a tank because he was one in the 2nd generation comic and toys (best friend who lived across the street from me had him, we had transformers wars all the time).

Honda Quality
You know, I've seen that problem primarly on DCX products and Honda products more so than any other make, FWD or not. I dunno what it is about their front suspension and drive axle assemblies that are just so chinzy, but they always seem to do such interesting things as in your picture. I'm saying that from a parts guy's perspective, I sell more front suspension parts and axles for DCX stuff and Hondas than anything else.

Trailblazer SS
I went dealer hopping yesterday and visited a few friends that work at a couple of Chevy dealerships here in the area. While I was at one I noticed a 07 Trailblazer sitting on the lot with HUGE (I mean they look absolutely massive) wheels on it and as I walked up closer, I saw the SS badging. That thing really does look pretty doggone good. It was the first one I've seen with the exception of pictures around on here. So, has anyone else seen one?

Nissan Reports Problem with Altimas, Sentra
Wow. Another company having problems with engine fires? What's the deal, first you get Honda and Ford, and now Nissans are just HOT HOT HOT HOT, under the hood.
