Your view on Buick is seriously misinformed. You didn't even give an honestly legitimate reason for this decision other than your statement that said "Buick has become the red-headed stepchild at GM," which it really is not. What is wrong with the car specifically? Are there any serious mechanical issues? Serious quality issues? If your individual example of the Lucerne had a glaring, major fault I would understand all of this, I suppose. Just because Buick does not offer 15 models does that mean they are "GM's red-headed stepchild" and it warrants your trading in of your Lucerne as a means of hopeless protest, which is what this all sounds like. Well, in the end it is your decision and I will choose to respect that, although I do question it.

I do not find this to be an issue, either. I find the controls in the G8 and Astra to be logically marked actually.

In 1981, I do not think anyone would have thought that there would someday again be a stock Corvette capable of breaking the 400 horsepower barrier again, let alone one capable of 620-plus. That, in a nutshell, was my point.

:rotflmao: In 1968, no one would foresee that a car comparable in our time to the Chevrolet Chevelle would sticker in at over twenty thousand dollars due to the costs of engineering and building a new vehicle to meet the ever-strengthening stringent government-mandated safety and environmental regulations, especially if that car is also engineered to a global standard. And in 2008, I do not think anyone is going to be able to foresee what sort of prices that future generations will be paying for their equivalent to our Chevrolet Malibu. And even if someone could, I do not think everyone else would or could believe it. Sure, it might make things better at the gas pumps, but it will be a horrible strain on finances.

I know Surge is what would eventually become Vault with its origins in Europe, and I also know the rest of those, but I have never heard of Revolution Mountain Dew.

Diet Pepsi? Pffft. My days here recently, and on an infrequent basis before that, mostly begin with an ice cold, blue bottle of Bawls, which is the only drink to have the words/warning "high caffeine" plastered right on the front of it, in a tastefully small print.

This reminds me, the glass bottle my South of the Border Pepsi came in was actually quite old, probably of a late 1970s vintage.
