That front-end works out better with the sedan than it does with the coupe, and with the subdued spoiler. (I think it works because the sedan is oddly proportioned, and so are those grilles. So I guess two negatives work to make a positive here, lol.) I saw a car similar to yours at a dealer in London, except it was the GX/P, and I thought that it didn't look so bad on the sedan in person. It's still not my thing though. Congratulations on the new car, anyway, Avant. Best of luck with it!

Here's something interesting I found: I like the idea of the long-wheelbase stepside on these trucks better. The 1967 - 1972 Chevrolet C/K is, by far, my favorite classic pickup.

I know he said that the carpet, door panels, headliner, and dash need to be replaced. There were a few other things, as well, but I can't recall what they were exactly. EDIT: PM me the links when you get back on, if you get to read this. Again, thanks a bunch. He really wants to know the cost. I think if he knew it, he would probably buy the car.

Hmmm ... for some reason this looks very familiar to me. I know I have a great uncle who owns an early Seventies Chevrolet C1500 stepside, in the same color as the truck you posted. I am not sure if it was the long-wheelbase model, however. I've never thought to notice, but when I call on my memory, it seems like it could in fact be one. If it turns out it is the model you are looking for, maybe I'll see if I can get in contact with him and see if he possibly saved the window sticker as I am pretty certain he purchased it new. When I am visiting relatives again, I'll try to remember to see if my grandfather can call him up and ask him if he saved the window sticker and if I can see some ordering codes from it. And the truck usually sets near the road, so I can definitely determine if it is the model you are looking for without much hassle.

You know, Dodgefan does make a good point here. If you are going to trade your Cobalt in for a '10 Camaro, you are better off just driving it as is and saving that money, putting it towards a deposit or down payment on the car. I know that, save for a new set of rims and finally getting the lowering kit installed, there will be no further work done to my Sonoma. The money that I would have funneled into a future turbo V6 or V8 install, as well as the step shaver kit, is better put towards my down payment for my Camaro. In the end it's your money, though, and it really isn't my place to tell you how to spend it.

A simple breakdown: Yellow Jacket = the yellow color option on the 2004 GTO, 894 = a set of numbers chosen at random. I've also used SubLime9C1 on other forums (SubLime is a old hi-impact color option used by Chrysler Corp. in the Seventies; 9C1 is the designation for a Caprice police cruiser, which I wanted to replace my S10 when I devised the username), as well as ToronadoGT (the Toronando was an Olds, obviously, and the name was also used by Fender guitars for a model that was discontinued in 2006; it was an attempt to link my passion for cars and guitars together; GT was random). I sort of would like to have my username here to be changed to just Yellow Jacket, dropping the 894 and the run-on letters. Or Phantom, as in Phantom Black Metallic, another GTO color option, as my love for the color black on cars is greater than my love of the color of yellow. But I'd rather not bother the mods.
