  1. It does seem to have a little bit of Pontiac REV in it.
  2. WOW.... in either case that's good news. 2008 Camaro SS wiht LS3 power? Yes PLEASE!!!
  3. Some of my worst Speeding tickets are from my Oldsmobile Achieva, S-10 Blazer & the Fleetwood Brougham. I've never gottten a speeding ticket in the Camaro, nor did I get one in the G/Fs Mazda MX3 or my old Yellow Firebird. Later when it was flat black I got a warning for doing donuts in an empty parking lot covered wiht ice & snow. The solution for me is not an inconspicuous car. If the Silver Brougham is not un-sporty enough than what is? I anit ever driving a Taurus or some Camcord. Mike: I've seen Centurys pulled over along wiht mini vans and even a Geo Metro once. BV: "The Phazer II Laser/Radar Jammer" is illegel in 7 states... Utah Virginia Oklahoma Minesota Calif. Nebraska Washiongton D.C. Here in Mass, NH, CT & Maine (where I travel the most) it is 100% FCC legal and not banned. Now as far as CB radios I've got one and it seems to me that the damn thing is silent 99.5% of the time. Channel 12, 18, 19, 40.. they're al white noise out here in N.E.

"Spirit In The Sky" has ot be one of the coolest driving songs of all time. I had it crankning on the radio last time I was out in Arizona and hauling a$$ donw the road in the middle of the desert. 110mph is about all that 4-cylinder Stratus would do. But I had no idea it was "Christian Rock" Spiritual or religious maybe but never really thought about it.
  6. Hey guys. After receiving several steep tickets in the past couple years for speeding... a few of them where I was lucky to have gotten away with being radared at like 95mph since I had been doing 100+ I've broken down and bought the Phazer. I do not trust radar detectors since I've heard too many storiess of them giving NO warning at all. NOw i'm kicking myself since the archives are gone and I had not given so much as a glance at the Radar detector thread. Anyone else own a Phazer? I've got my plugged in and since I do not own a radar/laser gun I can't verify it's effectiveness. What's the word on these things? Do they really scramble the signal and make it impossible for he cop to radar your car? And if so do Cops usually just pull you over anyway and write you up as "estimated"? Any advice/testimonials would be awsome. Also what was the consencus/final word on radar detectors? Is the Valentine realyl as good sa they say it is? The instruction manual for the Phazer says to use a radar detector alongside the pahzer for maximum effectiveness.
  7. Of course.... that was a brain fart. Did I mention I hate these new acronym inspired names? G6, SRX, ESV, DTS..... <_<

The crazy go fast cosmetics are not as bad on these cars since they have the race-bred heretige & performance to back up the looks. I love this new look. Absolutely love it. Even the Edsel-sih aspect. Though moreso I think it comes off as a Alfa Romeo rip-off.

To each his own, but that concert sounds wacked! "Jars of Clay" makes sense as far as Christian Rock goes, but some of this new stuff it's a little WTF-ish.

Like I said $13 for the optical.... the POS rollerball was like $10. It's a no brainer. This is one new technology that IS worht switching. I'll never go back!

I can't belive that I have yet to own even one Buick. I've been so close to buying one on several occasions but always ended up wiht an Olds, Chevy, Pontiac, Cadillac or Mercury. My next land yacht just might be a Buick. Maybe a late 70s or early 80s LeSabre coupe.

At about 11:59pm Oldsmobile had some nice concepts. Too bad midnight meant death!
  14. Quicksilver: Waste of a Fiero. BTW: There's a navy blue Firebird Avanti in my town... it has eluded my camera so far however.

I believe it says 1970. A few "69" Camaros were built in 1970 and even received '70 VINs. I've read this in several books but have never been able to confirm it wiht enthusiasts. The 2nd gen. 1970 Camaro is technically a 1970+1/2.

Wal*Mart: $13.00 (micro inovations brand) I even spilled Lemonade on it a few days ago and it stopped working..... so I disassebled it and cleaned/dried the circuit board and it started working fine! :)
  17. Wow, Congrats! :) My Sofia is already headed down the right path... whenever I'm on the internet, reading one of my twelve magazine suscriptions or watching Speedvision she walks up to me with a finger pointed towards the four-wheeled box of the moment and & yells: "CAAAHHH!!" :P
  18. It's a good precaution to also make theft harder so using a parking brake on an automatic tranny car is not totally stupid.
  19. There is only one screw up... By process of elimination you end up wiht two 1968 RS/SS cars but yet I have one incorrectly labeled as only a 1968 RS. Other than that every other answer can be surmised by eliminating the obvious and working your way down fort easiest to hardest. (and of course ALL Z11s were RS/SS cars but not all RS/SS cars were Z11s) ;)
  20. In the end this just reinforces my belief that 95% of the time an American consumer looking at a Japanese car has a more affordable and better value equivelant in a GM product. Some Current examples: Avalon ----- Impala Civic Si ----- Cobalt SS Maxima ----- Bonneville Tundra ----- Silverado Mazda 6 ----- G6 GT Sienna ----- Uplander Pilot ----- Trailblazer Camry ----- LaCrosse Miata ----- Solstice RX330 ----- XLR The Japanese just kep cutting corners & shoveling $#it but most American consumers seem to be too dumb to notice. Where's FOG anyway? He should chime in o this one. ;)
  21. Evok: Yes, you're right I'm an ignorant bastard. Dumb as a stump. Still I'll rest easy next time I buy a GM car and it actaully has 103% of the claimed HP. You can go ahead and buty yourself a car that has 90% of the claimed HP and chalk it up to "dyno misfunction".
