  1. 1. Name the first GM car to be 100% metric: Chevette :stupid: 2. This manufacturer is considered to have "big blocks" and "small blocks" though it never had either. All of it's unique V8s shared the same basic architecture. They were often painted light-blue metalic. Pontiac 3. What was the most unique feature of the 1953 Chevy "Business Coupe"? Back Seat Delete 4. This exotic car is often thought to be powered by a V12 but it's actaully a 2.8L V8 wiht forced induction. It celebrated an important anniversary in the manufacturer's history as the name suggested. Ferrari F40 (the last Ferrari product that Enzo was alive to be involved in) 5. They only made TWO of these special edition cars... one white the other one yellow. Since they were double the price of the regular production model and their HP was unchanged most people did not understand their significance. The white one went unsold as brand new for over a year. 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray ZL1 6. Which is faster a 1987 Regal T-Type or a Grand National. WHY? T-type, becasue of its lighter (aluminum) bumpers and wheels 7. This special edition luxury yacht is little known and very unique. They made 100 of them but technically only 99 production cars were sold since one was lost to the cold waters of the Atlantic ocean. Or so the legend goes. To the causal observer the tail lights on this car were one year ahead of their time. 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
  2. As a Pontiac/GMC slesman I sold a GMC Safari onec and mentioned casually how I'd love to own a '50s Safari Pontiac and the guy just looked at me like I had three heads. But he was a baby boomer so I thought he'd get the referance.
  3. Thanks Harley. Wow... now that's a good looking 6-er. :)
  4. Wow, for once I'm not even going to try...

LOL Josh: I'm told I'm a very happy drunk but the problem is I get obnoxiosly loud and annoying. About four months ago I was having Absolut shots wiht two buddies and started geting out of control. The last thign i remember was their $h!-eating grins as I drank about five full shots in 3 minutes. Next thing you know I wake up the next morning and I got told my G/F beat the crapp out of me and threw me in the shower to sobber up. I do not rememebr a thing. I had only had like seven shots (empty stomach) but it was enough to make me loos about 14 hours of my life. The next moring I'm walking around the house like "Who puked here, and there and behind the couch??" Marcia is giving me an evil stare saying "Who do you think you Fu$ktard!?" That was the only time ever I could not rememerb what happened. Up in Maine (Old Orchard Beach) bakc in College I had som much to drink I fell over and almost landed in the campfire... then walked into a tree a few minutes later. Ahhhh... good times. (and yes the one on the right is cute!)
  6. Good one. So damn sexy. This one is pretty easy to figure out.
  7. Yup the Corvair was GMs (of No. America) only rear engined production vehicle and the Fiero was the only mid-engined. PLenty of concepts along the way though.
  8. I wish I could believe this but I think I need a shovel to dig my way out of all this B.S.
  9. Click on "add reply" and then click on the "IMG" button. IN the window paste in the HTTP: link and click okay. The picture will come up for you.
  10. I absolutely LOVE the 5-series. I think it is one of the sexiest cars ever made... and certainly one of the top ten best looking sedans ever. But the 6-series, X3 & 1-series concepts? :puke: The Z4 has grown on me and the 7 series is oaky too. I'll take love-em-or-hate-em deisgns over boring desings any day.

I wonder if that's a Colorado test mule or a trest mule for some other truck wiht a Colorado body to disguise it.
  14. Sorry I thought the BelAir concept was about as worthy of it's coveted name as the VW Phaeton is of it's name. I just think it was weak and very jellybeanish. Where are the sharp lines and jutting fins?

the only thing cooler than those sideways opening hoods are the inline-8 engines underneath. :)
  16. Wait a minute.... "considered to be?" that was some tricky wording... Iwas going to say WTF? They "CONSIDERED" making it FWD but the car could never be considered fwd. ;)
  17. Base 1964.5 and 1965 Ford Mustangs and Mustang GTs did not have functioning side scoops. TRUE "The Red Flame Car" sketch on which the 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado was originally meant to be a Camaro-sized car. FALSE The 1961 Olds F-85 was never condsidered to be a FWD car. TRUE The "Toronado" name was originally used on a Chevelle SS convertible concept. FALSE Which is more valuable: a 1970 Plymouth 'cuda 440-6 or a 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am? Cuda The 1969 Ford Thunderbird was only availible as a coupe. FALSE American Motors pondered to build a supercar in the 1970s called the "AMX/3" to compete with the Ford DeTomaso Pantera. TRUE

Oh, Boy not this again. This first one was supposed to be an Ocnblu style blank stare "canid shot" That black crap is.... you guessed it Molten tire rubber fragments. I had my license in my front pocket at the 2004 Burnout Contest and it got dirty and I've never ben able to get it off since. Ted: When I was a Chevy salesman at Bill DeLuca Chevy my manager Gregg used to have me crawl into the trunk of an Impala and pop the trunk using the safety release. It was his favorite stupid human trick. If I was around and he was showing an Impala to soemone he would always have me do it. I grinned and bearred it mostly cause I'm such a GM fan I will even ridicule my small stature to help the General out. I've got no shame. Josh: Aren't MILFs yummy!?
  19. That my friend is called Communism. Or in some circles Socialism. No competition = crappy products! BTW: I've often though about what it woudl be like if there was a Global Big three. Here's my concept: 1. GM-Toyota-VW-Audi-Porsche-Lamborghini-Skoda-Suzuki-SAAB-Daewoo-Subaru-Citroen-AlfaRomeo-Seat-Bentley 2. Ford-Mo.Co.-BMW-Mazda-Nissan-Renault-Volvo-Kia-Jaguar-AstonMartin-LandRover-Mini-Ferrari-RollsRoyce 3. Chrysler-Mercedes-Honda-Mitsubishi-Peugeot-Fiat-Lancia-Hyundai-McLaren-Smart-Daihatsu-MG/Rover-Pagani-Lada Just a crazy idea. :P Of course I hope to god something like this does not actualy happen!
  20. For like $2000 it would still be a good deal.
  21. Yup... sounds a lot like waht happens wiht my freinds and family, though to directly effect 5 sales in half a year is damn impressive!

Earl joined GM in 1928... hence the 1929 "Pregnant Buick" disaster. Here's some of my favorite Buicks:
