Hm... Wasn't this Corolla released for the 2003MY? Coulda sworn it was released after the 02 Camry.

I have learned an invaluable lesson from this thread... Never get into a car accident. Fly, you remember my family lost an Oldsmobile earlier this year. Let's not allow another to be taken away.
  3. Hmm, does this mean that by buying the Cobalt previously, I've actually hurt the company? To answer my own question, by purchasing the car, I have reimbursed GM for most of the cost of building that car. If the car never sold, it would have been a net loss of $18-20,000 for GM. If they didn't want me to buy it, they wouldn't have built it. It's good to hear that GM can make a profitable small car. I think this is the first time in its history that it could do so.

They should focus on the 4-squares building in that design concept... and make it about 500 feet taller. Also, this redesign proposal is rather interesting: http://www.memorialcircle.com/
  5. Oh, I've seen worse. Anybody remember this?

Hmm... DOT-standards exterior. Parts bin interior. Maybe GM wasn't kidding about a mass-produced hydrogen car by 2010.

The C3 is easily the best-looking car ever built. Two months back, I spent no less than 30 minutes staring at a newly rebuilt yellow model that was parked near my in-laws' house.

In response to IP: That has to be the most disgusting interior I've ever seen. In response to non-Honda photo gallery: I agree with a lot of those, but some do not qualify as "great-looking". Such as, the Jaguars. At this point, the Jag looks like a blinged out BMW 7. In response to Honda photo gallery: I have to admit I agree with many of those. However, I'm not a big fan of the dated NSX, and the Integra (dare I say it) doesn't strike me as all that great looking.
  9. So it's Pink and Jewel vs Nickelback and Default in a no-holds-barred tag team deathmatch? Those girls can be pretty vicious, what with the long nails and such, but in the end my money goes to the rock musicians. So sayeth Razoredge: "Take Dream Theater, what I believe are the most educated and skilled musicians in the business for the past 2 decades and you just know what they are going to do next." <obscure references> I did not expect Train of Thought to be as heavy as it was, nor did I know what to expect from Octavarium whatsoever. Each album sounds different enough from the last that it's hard to detect the nuances at first. But yes, I can identify the similarity between riffs and songs and so on. </obscure references> The only way a band (Band A) could get over something like that would be if another band (Band B) composed a song for Band A to perform, and gave Band A their instruments to play in their preferred recording studio, and gave Band A the vocalist from Band B, and asked Band A to perform the song exactly as Band B would have. Now that you've torn the very soul from Band A's essence, you'll have a song sounding very much like something that Band B would have released. I have spent far too much time writing this post.
  10. I bet just about anyone who's concerned enough about their mental health to walk into a psych office will be diagnosed with depression. In some cases, the chemical imbalance is very real. In other cases, the doctor's just trying to make more money. I sometimes believe that I'm bipolar because I have pretty intense mood swings. But then again, how does that make me different from anybody else?
  11. I wonder about the long-term effects of this... "Stem Cell Babies Born Without Auto-Immune System" I understand that the advances in this field could mean a better quality of life for all... Or, it could just mean more money lining the pockets of the pharmaceutical companies.
  12. I was at Burritt's in Oswego a few days ago, and they had an 07 out. It looks pretty good for a < $15k car.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8...341347407&hl=en Toyota Tundra chasing a BMW Z4. Your thoughts? This was on Google Video's Top 100, for some reason.

Rear end looks like the last Camry.

I could post the full image, but A: I respect Image Shack's bandwidth, and B: Most of you might not know what this is from to begin with. Hint: www.penny-arcade.com

It took them 5 years to adapt the grille from the 2003 SS concept. IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!
  18. Speaking of the IS, a few months ago I saw a brand new IS parked on a lot with a bumper sticker on it. It read, "Daddy's Little Princess". I think that says it all...
  19. I tend to identify each car on the road, but I've never kept a tally of what percent were of a specific brand... And unless their obnoxiousness is influenced by the car they drive (or perhaps indicates what car they choose to drive), I don't see any direct connecion between someone's ability to drive and the car that they drive.
  20. No, I am not more courteous to domestic drivers. I am equally aggressive to all drivers.
  21. This is EXACTLY why I hate the concept of an "integrated radio". What if some better musical medium comes out (like the recent advent of satellite radio) and you've got this 8 or 9 year old used car - which is all you could afford - with a radio that you cannot replace because it's an integral part of the car... Fantastic. Now you're forced to buy this extra tacky accessory system (like my sister has for Sirius in her Diamante, though that was by choice), when you'd rather just replace the entire unit for the sake of ease of use, but you cant, all because the manufacturer decided the car's center stack had one cutout too many. If you're going to integrate ANYTHING, integrate the HVAC. No one's going to replace that without some serious mods anyway.
  22. I've discovered a wonderful place for cheap-o's like myself... Steve & Barry's. Every article of clothing in the store = $7.98. If I'm going to get a pair of raggy jeans, I at least want the price to match.

    Ah. Desparate Housewives spin-off #78.

If I were in the market for an $80,000 car, I'd take this over the Porsche mentioned in the article.

Ah so someone did this with the intent to advertise. But WHAT? A divorce lawyer? Or new feature, "prevent the misses from touching the Joint bank account, new from CitiBank?" Or is it an ad for a hidden camera? If it's really a corporate ad, it's lost all its edge.
