'07 Sebring UNVEILED
Cooled cup holders? Indeed, the SAE must have influenced Chrysler's design / engineering studio.

On-board hard drive, eh? I hope it's jolt-proof... I'd hate to see someone lose data because they hit a nasty pothole.

Pontiac G6 Convertible Sells Out for 2006
I think it will eat both of them for lunch. The current Seb convertible is a piece of crap and that is only loved by the rental agency. Once the new 3.6L engine and the 6 speed auto finds its way into the G6 vert, I think it could be the best selling convertible. In light of today's Sebring photo unveiling, I'm inclined to agree.

4 door convertible
It's about damn time! I've always wondered why no one ever built a 4-door convertible. All sorts of 4-door vehicles are driving around with aftermarket cloth and vinyl tops that don't do anything other than look bad. Now there's finally a 4-door cloth top that folds up!

07 Infiniti G35
Covering the Infiniti badges with black tape to hide its identity? Yeah... That's the ticket. Overall, great design.

It's pretty bad, but I've seen worse. I'm sure at least the roofline will change for the coupe and convertible. Expect the convertible to look like an extra large Crossfire.

Employee Discount
Well crap, that qualifies every car except Kappa (Solstice, Sky), the Corvette/XLR, and GMT900 (Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade, Escalade EXT, Escalade ESV).

Holden to make ESP standard on Commodore
The one on the left is understeer. They say oversteer twice...

Illegal stuff you've gotten away with
Someone's gonna get smart and nail all of you. Nonetheless... I accidentally kicked in a window. In honesty I would have paid to replace it but instead my initial reaction was to run like hell.

looking forward to...
id Software's next generation game engine, regardless of platform. They're making games for cell phones now. Imagine that.

3000 MPG
Well, add headlights and tail lights for starters. We also know it needs turn signals, a catalytic converter a muffler, windshield wipers, a seat belt, an upright seat, an air bag, a crumple zone in the front and in the rear, side impact protection, side mirrors, a rearview mirror, a LATCH system, a hazard light button, extra ground clearance, front and rear reflectors, reflectors on the doors, a center high-mount brake light, sufficient power to reach 60 mph, and actual synthetic rubber tires instead of shopping cart wheels. And tree-huggers wonder why modern cars get the same mileage they had 30 years ago.

THE GREATEST MOVIE
100!? That's not enough! What about such obscure 80's films as "The Gods Must Be Crazy", "Men at Work", and "Heavy Metal"? A poll like this would have to be narrowed down to 100 options by a panel of judges. Preferably not the same people that decide who wins Oscars.

3000 MPG
Single occupancy pods that are smaller than a motorcycle will never become street legal... However, attach larger wheels to it and give it such trivial things as headlights and tail lights, and you've got a potential Smart-killer.

THE GREATEST MOVIE
I complain of a sheer lack of Mel Brooks films. Where's... Spaceballs? Robin Hood: Men in Tights? YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN!? Blazin' Saddles? What an utterly incomplete list. I simply cannot vote.

Build the worst car possible.
Starting again with the Scion xB, except give it plastic fenders like the Element. Plug in the Chrysler CVT with a column mount shifter, a solid rear axle, and tie it all together with iDrive. And why not, let's weld on that Ram pick-up bed again. But this time, put it on the roof.

HUMMER Announces 2007 H3x Pricing
I say turn the x in H3x on its side and give us the H3T. It would be the product no one expected. And it would probably lead Jeep to bring back the Commanche. ...Well, an x on its side would look more like a +...

my last post?
The only way I know how to do this is to find a thread you know you posted in and click your name when it appears in that thread. From there you can see your most recent posts.

Voluntary Recall for SLR Supercar
My thoughts exactly. You'd think they would have caught this sooner in testing. The problems are probably happening more in the US, where there's more desert region than in Germany...

Spied: Smart fortwo
I actually kinda like the car despite its appearance. This country needs more super-compact commuter cars. I mean, look at all the people that commute. The one thing that would prevent me from buying one is the whole "what-if" scenario of being T-boned by a Hummer H2.

Pontiac G6 Convertible Sells Out for 2006
Glad to hear about the G6 Convertible sales. This goes to show you that more people will be into convertibles when the roof that goes over their head actually has solid sheetmetal...

WOW! I always knew that our country SOLD OUT GM
Perhaps I should have been a little more clear. The last paragraph only refers to Japan, not China. Do you honestly think that I am under the impression that Japan and China are secretly working together to conquer us? Anyone who's been through grade school knows that they are two strongly-opposed governments, and I thank you for believing I haven't made it past the fifth grade. The second paragraph was me attempting to say that trying to reimpose tariffs at this point would be dumb and ineffective. I know this. Some others don't. You want to destroy the economy? Make it harder for us to import goods. The fact remains that our manufacturing industry is nosediving, and there will be a lot of unemployed blue collars out there. The government is taking baby steps to try to improve our economy. All we can do as members of the general population is continue to collect information about this situation, particularly if we feel that it's a major issue. But false information can be more damaging and influential than the correct stuff. I've stopped believing half the stuff I read, especially on forums like this. So repeating my original sentiment, just sit back and enjoy the show.

Perfect Fit!
The Honda Fit is far from perfect... Actually what's interesting is that this engine has been posted on C&G in the past. Although it was very far in the past, like 2 overhauls ago.

Spied: Smart fortwo
Saw one on the road on our way up to visit my in-laws. My wife saw the car and it reminded her of "a show where there was a tiny car where the door opened in the front". The car I'm speaking of, naturally, is the BMW Isetta, featured as Steve Urkel's car in Family Matters.
