I was really hoping for that sharp dark green that the Pontiac G6 features. A Cobalt would look nice in a shade of that variety.

An Equinox SS? Could be an interesting proposition: Another performance SUV below the megabuck level of the Cayenne, X5, or GC SRT-8 in addition to the VUE Redline. If the G6 is getting the 3.6 and 6-speed automatic, let's hope that GM finds it in its bumbling, fumbling corporate heart to offer this engine with a stick. And, the 3.5 OHV has no place at all in the Aura if Saturn is to be positioned as Opel's twin and a genuine Euro competitor. Sometimes it really does amaze me that GM wonders what it's doing wrong.

If I am not horribly mistaken, the SX4 is a Swift with AWD on stilts.

The new Swift would definitely be more welcome and fun than those dull, dowdy Daewoos sitting on the showroom floors.

Well, I usually prefer smaller vehicles, so then the Cayman would get my vote, but I would really like to drive American, so that's the Corvette... well, which one may I have in dark green?

Good thing you are alright! How about considering an efficient Stratus SXT with the 2.4? It features a suspension free of struts, which is unique in the midsize class.

It's obvious that GM doesn't really care for SAAB in any way, shape, or form. IF they did, they wouldn't be making the SAAB interiors completely generic using horribly obvious GM parts-bin items. And what's with elimintating the SAAB information display at the top of the dash? Oh well, with this latest Oldsmobilization of a brand, it looks like GM will have to kill off or sell another brand. Hate to brind it up again, but GM should look at the Volvo situation and how Ford operates its Swedish arm. Now, the new S80 is a bit more whatever than the previous one, but that is beside the point I once found the 9-3 Sports Sedan to be different, unique. Now, it doesn't- at least not by its interior. And since it's still sedan shaped, then not by the exterior either. I find nothing wrong with the current 9-3 that GM World-Wide can fix. There will only be neuterizing, blandifying, and inferiorizing. SAAB is doomed.

Exactly. But I highly doubt the G6 only has like, 1.8 cu ft of trunk space even with the top down. If that is the case, the the G6 Convertible was very poorly designed and engineered.

Those C-Pillars SUCK! I'd rather have the window outline. Overall, this looks to be quite attractive.

It looks nice, and fits in with Chrysler's overall design language somehow. But... Check out the headlamps. Do they not appear similar to those of the Volkswagen Eos/New Polo????

A very unique proposition and discussion here. Although possible, I don't see V8's being phased out, just like I feel the V12 shall be around for years to come if only for the bragging factor. I mean, V12! How cool is that?

Thank you. Indeed, there is not much room side-to-side under the fenders of the Mk 1 Clouds. Right now, my speedometer is a few mph behind actual speed running on 14's.

Same guts, yes, but details do differ. Like the trunk- ION has goose-neck hinges, and the Cobalt has the Multilink-Strut thing going on, but they are meant to be two different cars. If not, why it would be badge-engineering, and we all hate that here, right? I think that the ION's centre stack is cool. Plus, its amber backlighting is very similar to that in my Breeze. While sitting in a Red Line model in Ft. Wayne, it seems fine to have the gauges there, and this model was comfortable and seemed solid- the doors shut with a thunk, and no plastic trim was a-flappin'.

About time! Indeed, the Cobalt really does need the CDTi diesel engines to truly compete with the Jetta. Probably be offered in base/LS, and LT trim. You know, Audi Driver states that Audi AG is debating as to whether or not they should offer TDI engines in their sedans/Avants and not just the upcoming Q SUV's. A concern of theirs (with dollar vs. euro) is making a decent profit as well as whether or not Americans will embrace them, and that if they do wait, the possibility of them getting caught with their pants down if Mercedes-Benz goes through on its purported diesel assault on the U.S. in the next few years. Go GM!

Does anyone around here know what the lug design (aside from 5-lug, I know that) and measurements of the Mk 1 Clouds is compared with that of the Mk 2 LH's and Mk 3 minivans? Supposing I get the money and (want to spend it on such a thing) decide an upgrade to the wheels/tires of my Breeze, I was wondering if Chrysler's "Genesis II" aluminum wheels would fit the Breeze. These wheels were used on some SE Intrepids, and Sport, LE, ES, ES AWD (1999-2000 ES) minivans. I especially like their appearance, and they are 16" in diameter, so they aren't anything outrageously big. What they look like: And look slightly similar to:

Umm, don't you mean high-profit? It'd be stupid of GM to do a cheap AND low-profit vehicle. A car like the Camaro is supposed to generate great revenues for its cost.

Or at least GM should be offering more manual transmissions regardless. *Cough* Like in the 4 cylinder G6 that should be allowed the available equipment of upper V6 models. Or the Aura.

That is so totally awesome! SAAB will be big... and sooner than the pundits think! (The only thing I don't dig is the combination of the headlamps/outer grille flanks.)

I was talking about the dynamics of the BMW. I hate the styling of both. I'd take a front drive Audi A4 pre 2005.5 over a rear-drive 3-Series because... It's better looking.

Sorry, but not HOT enough. Overall it is very attractive, but the details of the show car that made it great, even the details (like wheels) of the Opel Vectra are superior to this, and thus, this is a let down.

It needs to be the twin of the Vectra! No more dillution! No more watering down! Give four-cylinder/four-cylinder turbo engines, along with V6's coupled to stickshifts! Sooner is always preferable to later when improving a marque!
