2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP
How much more is the Sky Redline expected to be over the Solstice GXP?

Motor Trend 2006 Car of the Year
I thought my quad 4 grand am was pretty fun. I know I smoked quite a few cars with it too.

Edmunds Full Test: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Thats what I read. I dont think anyone said it would be a flop, just that the interior is hideous, and that if it was a GM vehicle it would have been ripped apart by the media.

But market success doesn't determine if the interior is good or bad. Just look at the vehicle you mentioned as having a worse interior, the GMT-800s. They sell over a million a year.

The Stalk
My 97 Grand Am had auto headlights, and so did my 2000 Malibu, and my 98 Grand Prix does also. I would not want my headlights to be on the stalk though, and I dont like having cruise on the stalk. I like having cruise on the steering wheel, but that would interfere with having my radio controls on my steering wheel. What cars dont come with auto headlights now?

Hyundai Sonata Breaks Into U.S. Top 10 Charts
The Cobalt really dropped. Wasn't it recently selling 20,000+ per month? Or was that only with the employee discount? I think they could get some more sales if they fixed the styling of the sedan.

Carmakers widen seats for wider...seats
So now my bucket seats are going to feel like benches? Will they at least have options for us who dont want to slide around when turning?

Hyundai Sonata Breaks Into U.S. Top 10 Charts
I dont have either. But I only listen to music in my car, and in my room. My Laptop can play mp3s or whatever else I want, and my car has a 10 cd changer. That, and I'm saving for an intercooler, and most of my extra money goes to my car, or paying extra to bills.

You also have to consider total cost of labor(healthcare) and not just hourly wages.

Hyundai Sonata Breaks Into U.S. Top 10 Charts
I have to agree with the samsung over sony comment. Everything I own from sony seems to stop working after a year, or less. I think Hyundai needs to be watched closely. They are making about 1/2 Toyotas profits, with 1/4 the sales.

Motor Trend 2006 Car of the Year
I dont like the Civic, but then again, I dont really like the Cobalt either. The Mazda 3 would be my choice if I had to pick a compact car, unless GM ever decides to bring us the Astra hatch. But I dont agree that the Civic is so great of a car. 1/2 a second is pretty significant for 0-60. But anything over 8s 0-60 is too slow to matter anyway.

Do you work for Toyota?

GXP Solstice 260HP
My Grand Am seems exactly opposite from yours. My Grand Am had alot of torque steer when it downshifted at about 30 mph.

A week in Arizona
I disagree on a lot of them. Cadillacs are not rare, in fact, I probably see more Cadillacs than Buicks. I see lots of Pontiacs as well. Old people here drive annoyingly slow. Too many Toyotas. Buicks are popular with the 55+.

Top 10 cars named by Detroit news
Cant you just get all your clothes vaccuum packed? If they can fit t-shirts in a shot glass, I'm sure you could fit everything you need in 1 cu. ft. :P But seriously, I do see the need for some trunk space, at least enough to fit clothes for a weekend. Although it wouldnt be an issue for me because the only time I open the trunk on my Grand Prix is to change CDs.

Random Grand Prix thoughts, and the Pacific NW.
So you will be here in Phoenix for the holidays? Its really nice weather this week, mid 70s. And of course, sunny all week.

Mallett Solstice
the added 223hp easily makes up for the extra 200lbs.

Pictures!
Just watch out for the flaming Fiero wrapped around the tree. It might explode, and your tires might be hit by some flying metal. Then you would have to watch out for Oldsmoboi

Mallett Solstice
Mallett This should answer any questions about the weight balance from stuffing a V8 in the Solstice. 48-52 with a 200lb driver and a full tank of gas. Thats more weight to the rear than in the 4cyl Solstice. It all depends on how far back the engine sits, not how big the engine is.

Motor Trend 2006 Car of the Year
It's new, it's a Honda, and it has a Hybrid version. Oh it was also the last to the party to break 200hp.

G6 review
"outrageous styling addenda like side strakes and roof rails abetted by raucous engine noises, stiff rides, and huge tires." So my car(98 Grand Prix GTP) has side strakes? Thats news to me. My car seems relatively cladding free with no strakes at all. Roof rails? I have a sunroof, is that what your confusing that with? Raucous engine noises if thats what you want to call it, but I do like how my supercharger sounds. Stiff ride, and huge tires, I wouldnt mind if it were a little stiffer, and now huge tires are a bad thing? When will Pontiac learn, their performance version needs 14s with economy series tires to be taken seriously. And dont forget 4 lug wheels.

Top 10 cars named by Detroit news
The Porsche and BMW roadsters must also be overweight, because they are heavier than the Miata also. The BMW is actually heavier than the Solstice. So if it needs to be mentioned for the Solstice, it should also be mentioned for the BMW and Porsche as well.

GM list of intros for L.A. auto show
Actually most superchargers create more heat than turbos. Turbos are more efficient.
