If I wanted a car now, could I go buy the new Camry? You compare what you have now. Just like the 6 year old Silverado has been compared to the brand new Titan.

I always liked Olds, not as much as Pontiac, but more than Buick or Chevy. It's sad to see the brand killed. And as stated before, Olds did have some of the best GM cars made in the 90s. But yet they still didn't sell. If so many people care so much about the brand, why wouldn't they buy the cars then? Some of the best GM cars for the time, yet still couldn't sell them=brand getting axed. Pontiacs still sold, while many of their cars were much less than perfect. Thats why Pontiac is still around. Maybe Olds should have been killed sooner, with Pontiac getting better product, through the 90s. Then instead of one dead, and one declining, we could have 1 dead, and one going strong.

My perfect car would be a compact, mid engine, 2 seat RWD sports car, with a higher revving LS2 or LS7. Under 2800lbs preferably.

Doing okay? They have been on a track thats taking them off the edge of a cliff for the past 30 years. If you havent noticed, GM has been steadily declining long before Wagoner became CEO. I'm sure he caused the gas spikes which are killing SUV sales too. He cant work miracles, like everyone seems to expect him to do.

You can only imagine? Or you immediately assume someone is immature when you dont know the whole story? Seems like a personal attack to me.

To add to that, Toyota knows hybrids aren't the way of the future. But they are going to hype up that they are the leader in hybrids, and therefor they are better for the environment, as long as they can. Even if GMs system is better, Toyota will still be the more green company for having hybrids sooner.

Harsh, but true. The article was all spin. Delphi was losing money from the beginning? Hmm, weren't their workers overpaid compared with similar suppliers since the beginning too? I'd love to see any person who thinks it's so easy to run a company, actually be put in that position and try for themselves. I would make popcorn to watch, but I dont think the company would last long enough for it to get out of the microwave.

Thats what most automakers are developing. The only one I have heard of that isnt, is BMW, with a IC engine powered by hydrogen.

As long as GT doesnt become what SE was a few years ago. Then in the future GT will mean nothing, and GTP will become the new base model, and GXP being the equivalant of the current GTP. Thats fine if GT doesnt mean hubcaps, and basically a car with no performance.

But are the stocks issued during bankruptcy still good after bankruptcy? Or are new shares issued, and the previous shares become worthless?
