The chasis was cancelled. In theory, it could rear its head again on a shared platform, perhaps the RT chasis of the Caravan. I'm pretty sure the Challenger's program is the LC23 with the LY being the next gen (EDIT: Scratch "pretty sure", I am sure)

i didn't think Oshawa 2 was idle for a couple of more months. I’ve “heard” :AH-HA_wink: that supplier’s won’t be sending out PO’s for equipment to build parts till Q2 next year, assuming it doesn’t get pushed back, which many Big 3 have been doing lately. Equipment build & run off for components can take anywhere from 30 weeks to a year.

Monte Carlo Saab 9-3 Sport GMC Envoy Denali Buick Rendevous Pontiac Torrent Cadillac SRX None of those really strike my interest. Of course, there isn't much at GM that really suits my expected future needs and meets my styling likes, other than the SRX (which is WAY outta my price range), and a Lambda perhaps.
  9. unfortunately, like a lot of our resources, we have to sell it to other people to refine it, then they sell it back. here in ontario, it makes sense since we have a bunch of nuclear plants
  10. a platinum turd is still a turd at heart

I hope they put in a better manumatic. The RDX I drove shifting blew. It would shift around its normal shift points, even if I was controlling it. Half the time, I didn’t know what gear I was in…the one I had put it in, or one above/below.

  14. does it come with VTEC?
  15. What I find interesting is that DCX would rather work weekend OT at Brampton and then shutter the plant, instead of cutting bak on the weekend shifts and not shuttering the plant for a week

Could they be killing the Monte to free up some capacity to move production over from plant 2 so they can start tooling up for Zeta?
  20. and tahst why they are blacking out their plants for part of Nov. Even Brampton will be totaly blacked out for a week (including work being done on tooling upgrades for the Challenger)

I don't know if GM is running the same ad campaign in the US, but it's got me completely baffled. For months now, the overall message I've got from Chevy's ads is that losers should buy a Chevy. Their website pretty much sums it up. http://www.johnny.ca/ You can view the commercials there as well. Check out the one for the Aveo. Some chick wants to get some from Johnny and all he's concerned about is getting a parking ticket. What message are they trying to send? I honestly don't get it and it sure as hell doesn't make me want to drive a Chevy!!
