A comparable ML400 starts at $63,000. So that $8K discount is already there. And then some. GLC is the GLK replacement, not the ML replacement. ..fyi.. I was not sure, and since the GLC is turbo I4 only, I thought it better aligned to the MKC. MKC is a bit smaller, so GLC is somewhere in between the MKC and X. Yeah I think the MKX is in the middle of the two. I look at it like the MKC = Escape = Lifted Focus.. And the GLC = C Class.. C Class is larger than a Focus.. I realize that is a very rough way to look at it but it's "generally" correct.. If not correct me.
  2. When I first put it back in a few weeks ago after not playing for over a year there were 15 updates.. luckily I did it at night and just let it do its thing while I went to bed. I checked on it about 45 minutes later and it was only 3/15 updates though.. No clue what got updated though. I think you can read what each update does.

  4. Shiny means clean. Duh.. Didn't you know this? YES! My hardest part of getting back into it is tuning.. I feel so damn clueless all over again. And at first it didn't matter how I changed the suspension settings unless I could run a consistent lap anyway.. Practice practice practice.
  5. Yet you do not comment on one very IMPORTANT Fact! Most people are terrible at driving manual transmissions. I know for a fact. While I required both my son and daughter to learn and drive in Highschool a Manual Pickup truck. This limited having to many people due to it being a standard cab so 3 tight, but really only 2 people drive and 1 passenger plus their bags, books etc. My son is a terrible driver and never could get the feel for shifting compared to my daughter who would get EPA rated MPG on the Manual, My son always got 10-15% less or more depending on highway versus city driving. My wife and I could always exceed EPA MPG. The reason I believe Automatics do better for people is most people do not want to have to think about how they drive, the sweet spot for shifting and dealing with a clutch plus break and gas. Add hills and people fear the roll back and freak out. Manuals have their place but in limited applications due to human nature. Consumer Pickup trucks should just stay automatic as it would be best for everyone as is most auto's. Performance and econobox auto's can have a manual option but I still believe most people will go with an automatic. I am not saying your wrong about Manual being better than automatic, but the electronics today are faster than human response time and I think it does end up with most automatic auto's out performing manual transmission auto's. Very good points, sir. There is so much more room for error with a manual that if you really don't know how to drive it correctly you will be wasting even more fuel just out of pure ignorance. You could slip the clutch too much on every launch and never get city mpg because of it or conversely, slip it perfect and put it in neutral and coast to a stop and blow the ratings out of the water.
  6. I'll just elave you with this line..which I believe is why manual transmission vehicles get better mileage than their ratings. The people driving manuals tend to know a thing or two more about their vehicle and how things actually FEEL while driving rather than just putting their right foot on the floor and expecting to get the ratings. "But when the engineers conducted further tests on those unnamed models, they found the vehicles' fuel economy met EPA estimates. With no apparent mechanical shortcomings, they focused on driver behavior as a possible culprit for the poor numbers."
  7. How often does our dash get hit by things?!?!? It would get hit as often as any other screen in that location.
  8. ^ Sometimes just putting their name across multiple "classes" of cars will open enough eyes to realize what great products they are producing. Because pre CT6 why would anybody even look towards Cadillac as a top tier lux when they only stop at E Class sized vehicles and nothing more? Well when you double up on that you're doubling your audience too(okay the math isn't accurate but you get the jist of it). Because even people who don't know cars or Mercedes much know when they see an S(Number) that it's a high end luxury car and then correlate that all the way down to their CLA. So just having it, I would think, would help out the rest of the lineup get recognition(well deserved, at that) Sorry mine was directed at Wings.
  9. One of my favorite things to watch/listen to. I highly suggest giving it a listen.
  10. What We KnowThe 2016 CT6 is not Cadillac’s flagship, General Motors product chief Mark Reuss says. That role will be given to an even larger rear-wheel-drive sedan coming within four years. While the Cadillac CT6 is a bit bigger than a short-wheelbase BMW 7 Series, we expect the so-called CT8 to be slightly larger than the long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The CT8, like the CT6, will ride on the new Omega platform, which employs GM’s patented process for welding aluminum. If the CT6 is any guide, the CT8 will be hundreds of pounds lighter than the S-Class. But the CT8 will be more than a long-wheelbase version of the CT6. Its styling should be more stately and upright, and it should put greater emphasis on ride comfort than handling dynamics. Engine choices will likely include the CT6’s new twin-turbo, 3.0-liter V-6 and a naturally aspirated, 3.6-liter V-6. Also expect a new V-8 from the same engine family, perhaps a twin-turbo, 4.5-liter example that will make 500-plus horsepower, as hinted by the Cadillac Elmiraj show car. The transmission will be an eight-speed automatic, unless the new 10-speed GM is developing with Ford arrives in time. Why It MattersAlthough it doesn’t show on sales charts, Cadillac is enjoying a renaissance thanks to new models that match or beat their BMW and Mercedes-Benz rivals on many metrics. The CT8 promises to take these advances even further, making this car worthy of a window sticker that reads $95,000 or higher. Expect the CT8 to come with all the technology, safety, and luxury features Cadillac can muster to take on the Mercedes S-Class as the standard-bearer in this segment. Just as important, a big, long CT8 will give Cadillac a much-needed status symbol, a car worthy of shuttling important business and government leaders to global conferences. Potential PitfallsAs much as Cadillac has improved, it has yet to achieve Lexus-like overall quality or Audi-like interior execution. The CT8 must do both. Specifically, its new engines must idle more smoothly than the engines we’ve experienced in the ATS and CTS, and the CUE infotainment system must respond quicker to user inputs. Even if Cadillac achieves all this right out of the gate, GM will have to be patient, as the CT8 will not achieve Audi/BMW/Mercedes status overnight. When to Expect ItSometime during calendar year 2019, possibly by spring, as a 2020 model. http://www.automobilemag.com/features/magazine/1508-cadillac-ct8-will-be-the-brands-first-true-flagship-in-modern-era/ I hope I didn't quote too much but that really is all the little article was so I thought it wasn't worth cutting it down.. Anyway, just some more exciting news coming from one of our D3!
  11. Good point actually, Originally when I read this I thought of just buying a used modified car over a stock car. Then I read and it seemed more like a Shelby America/Hennessey kind of tuner that you meant. Which were you thinking of? Honestly, it won't change my answer but I'm just curious.
  12. I was always kind of surprised the D3 weren't really in this market..
  13. They have one, I believe, in Europe, just can't remember the name off the top of my head though. Semms like i was a decent looking litle thing, but can't remember for sure. You're thinking of the Ford EcoSport which if I remember is a Ford Fiesta on stilts. Are there plans to bring it to the US though? I mean it isn't my cup of tea but I feel like they're losing out on the huge swing to the micro CUV.
  14. Ahhh, Pontiac. I've never heard of SLP before. Are they still in business? http://www.slponline.com/ I'm with the majority, and for the same reasons. I'd prefer a stock car or my flavor, and do things that I like and/or find necessary. Most tuners will do something, whether small or big, that I'm not a fan of and the price paid for the tuner package is usually outrageous - Example: Shelby Super Snake. For the most part I think it's a great car, but the hood looks attrocious to me. And if I'm spending 50k or so on the package I don't want ANY part to not be of my liking. Especially a hood that probably costs a couple grand.
  15. I think it looks great for its class. But I also like MB in general and their "bland" theme that some like to call it. It appears to be 5 steps ahead of the old GLK. That thing was deinitely showing its age in their lineup. I would definitely drive one of these.
  16. Isn't this the same every election for ANY politician..ever. ? They are all crooks and liars. Well it would help if we all stopped voting incumbents back into office. My state is incredibly guilty of that. Plus all Gov jobs should have term limits. House and Senate should be able to do no more than 12 years or what equals to 6 terms for house and 2 terms for senate or we change both to be 2yr jobs or 6yr jobs and reduce the waste of time for elections. Agreed. Term limits are absolutely necessary. 110% agree. I also think their pay should be cut in half, if not more. NOT because I don't think they deserve it or whatnot(I honestly don't know how much they do or don't work so I'll leave that aspect of it out) but because I want somebody who genuinely wants to help make things better, not for the fat checks.
  17. Yup, he has failed and left many with being pushed into bankrupcy all at others expense in building his own personal wealth. He is a man that knows nothing of how to build and grow a profitable business. He is no different than the Idiot Hillary and all the other DemoBots and RepuliRATS that also know nothing of how to work within a budget. So far 2016 is looking to be a year to pick the least of all evils as we currently only have morons running for president. Isn't this the same every election for ANY politician..ever. ? They are all crooks and liars.
  18. Does Ford have a small CUV planned like the CX-3/HR-V/Renegade? It seems like most automakers have a little guy except Ford. GM has the Trax/Encore, FCA and the Renegade/500L, The above mentioned Japanese ones.. Not Ford?
  19. @Stew: lol yeah a little.. I guess I never really thought of it as raspy but it isn't high pitched like other small dogs where it is nearly ear piercing.

The only part I disagree with is ^ AMG care are completely redone, suspension ->engine. They are gaining "AMG sport" or something stupid like that to compee with the "M Sport" packaged cars which I think is pretty stupid. Other than that.. Completely agree , man. I feel like it is just going to take time.. Like somebody else said in here they they can't just whip out 4 variations within the first model year like BMW/MB do, they need to though. It's the AMG-Sport thing that he's talking about. Mercedes is successfully diluting the brand by offering AMG appearance models without the performance upgrades the full AMG models get. Cadillac at least gives the V-Sport models a substantial performance boost even if they're not the full power V-Series model. Oh, definitely agree then. I don't like the whole "AMG Sport" and "M Sport" thing those two have going on. It is basically the ricer version of lux cars. You cna buy a fake AMG/M instead of having to have mommy and daddy buy you a body kit. Stupid.
  21. ^ Yeah.. but the variety in RUF cars is nowhere near what I would like to see in Porsches. I'd like a couple modern 911s and Caymans. Man, I need to get one of those wheel/pedal setups. I assume you need like a desk for something like that right..? I used a wheel once long ago and it didn't have force feedback and was terrible. But that was years ago.

Your points are valid to a point. 1) Absolutely. I am seeing effin Mustang ads every freaking day. Had the same momentum of the ATS ads, in the beginning, kept up, then their sales would be double. Speculation yes... but I saw a great deal of excitement seeing the ATS racing down the mountain side in Italy(?) a few years back.. "Robot Arms" would have been fine had a celebration actually been in order. The CTS, on the other hand started off with one commercial that I remember and haven't seen since... the "Moon Shot." 2) I don't agree with this at all. The ATS is necessary and should be fleshed out. A beautiful car left bland in anything not incorporating full fascia. The LED vertical front lights should be across the board at Cadillac. The ATS should have had a convertible ready for Summer. A Wagon. A Hybrid. It is possibly the most important car at Cadillac in convincing the masses that Cadillac is no longer "snooty and old luxury." In view of sales the proportion of sales is on point with the CTS tho. Eclass sells almost 45 of what the C-Class does. Same for the two Cadillacs. ATS sales need to go up though, but they could do this by advertising it and offering more desirable options. Great looking? Yes! But when the CTS goes to battle, it needs something more to stand on....and be able to show it. Heck, the V series used to a big deal......but the people I talk to just don't talk about it like they used to....that-needs to change. The MSeries used to be a big deal.. most non-enthusiasts or even actual enthusiasts over 45 don't kno that it even exists. AMG is so muddled and over-used it is about as special as saying I drive an LTZ Impala... What the CTS needs is the cars that it had when it was selling 40% more than it is now. Its the most OBVIOUS thing in the history of man. I'm selling 4 different versions of a car, and those version make up 40% of the volume of my sales. I STOP.. making those cars... and then so called ANALYST can't seem to get it in their heads WHY sales would be down. I think Cadillac knows this actually. I think they just don't MIND considering the car is not long for this wold and the next CTS will be sized slightly different (interior) to address they bitching going on by the media.. who suddenly is more interested in backseats than dynamics. The only part I disagree with is ^ AMG care are completely redone, suspension ->engine. They are gaining "AMG sport" or something stupid like that to compee with the "M Sport" packaged cars which I think is pretty stupid. Other than that.. Completely agree , man. 23. Hahaha Yeah I'll take up with our on my chest lickin my face.. The short/puppy cut looks the cutest too, for sure. Hang in there man. Agreed with 'Bong.. Hang in there and do your best to keep your head up. It isn't always easy to be positive, but you have to in tough times..
  24. Yes, I spent quite a bit of time there in my early 20s. I'm sorry to hear you're feeling that way, buddy. You have to dream big and keep hope alive. Stay active and busy, then find small victories in life you can hold onto. Enough of those small wins can really add up positively in your life: organize your room/garage/living space, learn something new, save up a tiny bit of cash every day to buy something you want, whatever is important to you. Another thing that's always been hard for me is letting go of the past when it holds you back like an anchor. Yeah, I have GT6 and the G27 Logitech racing wheel. Funny thing is, I only played the game for a couple weeks before it got shelved because my cat was in a wire-chewing phase and then we moved. Plus every time I looked for a specific modern car, I came up empty handed and it reminds me that it's still essentially GT4 with MAYBE 100 legitimately new cars (and I'm being generous) spanning 2004-2013. No meaningful DLC packs or anything. It's a f@#king blast playing with the stick shift and clutch pedal though. Yeah the cars are about as disappointing as it gets. of the 1200 cars 100 NSXs, 100 Miatas, 100 Civics, 100 GTRs, 100 S2000s..You get the point.. I honestly think 100 is an overshot. I don't think there are 100 modern cars on that game. Even Mustang on it is an '09. Well in GT6 they did add the Boss302 and GT500 which I really liked but there are just sooooo many of the same car with different stickers on it and less actually different cars. I still rock the ole controller.. lol I just don't have anywhere good to keep/use a wheel/pedals. Here's my short list of anger-inducing missing cars: Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo Saturn Sky Redline or Pontiac Solstice GXP (not the ugly concept they have in the game) Pontiac G8 GT or GXP Chevy Camaro ZL1 Any V-Series Cadillac besides the CTS-V Coupe Acura TL Type-S Honda Civic Si Audi RS5 (or again, anything recent from Audi besides the TT and R8) MazdaSpeed 6 Oh that's just a tiny list..And I agree with all of them I, obviously, always wanted an 03-04 Cobra, More modern and variety of the AMG and M cars. Also some Audi "S" and/or "RS" cars. Honestly, for having trucks on there..maybe more modern trucks as well. Definitely surprised no Cobalt SS S/C or Turbo(being it is kindof a ricer list of cars anyway). I wish they had More modern Mustangs as well, Camaro ZL1 as well, Porsche(I know it is legal rights stuffs but still..), Dang, I can't think of too many off the top of my head but I know there are ~20 cars that it surprises/grinds my gears that they don't have. Next time I get on I'll have to make a little list..lol I've never gotten to play with a wheel/pedals. I bet it's awesome. How does the clutch work in a video game?
  25. Aww...a Yorkie. I have 4, 2 boys and 2 girls.. You have 4?!?!? I'm actually jealous. I always tell the gf that I want a small fleet of them because of how cute they'd be all running around playing! lol Have any pictures of yours??? Yorkies--- Ginger, 6lbs Penny, 7lbs.. Zo--a big boy, 16lbs and Henry, 10lbs We also have 3 other dogs, all terriers and terrier mixes.. Nauti II, a senior Australian Terrier (was a rescued stray and a cancer survivor) and these two---Raine and Beardsley, terrier mixes adopted together last year...(Raine is the red dog at the top and Beardsley is gray/white) Another one of Beardsley: Cute pups! i love that you keep their hair trimmed, not the long haired Yorkies. That must be a blast having all those little buds running around! Last time the gf and I were at the vet(about a month ago) Gucci weighed right at 4.75lbs. I think that was a lightest shes ever weighed once she was full gown. She usually weighs right at 5lbs.. Not sure why the difference other than maybe it's summer and warmer and shes losing the winter-ness. I just know I absolutely love our little yorkie..even if she is the least manly pet I could ever have. Hahaha
