Rivian R1T Production Trucks Rolls Off Assembly Line
That's... not remotely true.

Rivian R1T Production Trucks Rolls Off Assembly Line
There's probably $50K into the restoration/modification of that C10 before the electrics/batteries and whatever the cost of the base truck. But sure- if one does all the work themselves, you could save some of the cost vs. having a reputable shop build it.

What David REALLY should do is; buy a '22 Suburban, with all the tech & safety options, then have a builder rip the powertrain out and convert it to full-on battery electric. That way he'd stay with GM, get more interior room than even he knew what to do with (specifically; legroom), and have the best of both worlds! Sure; he's looking at spending $80K on the vehicle, plus probably another $65K for the conversion, but at least he could recoup a couple of dollars on the brand new powertrain. Better yet- order it online and forgo the 'messy, smelly' bargaining; pay full MSRP! A $150K electric Suburban sounds just peachy!

There's no '1975' Seville; the '76 just came out earlier than the traditional September intro's. That sometimes trips people up in an era of traditional September debuts.

^ Pic above that seems to be generating confusion is of intake runners, going toward the valves. No valves in the pic, tho. - - - - - Supposedly the oldest Ford dealer in N.H., and established by Henry Ford himself. As it appeared in the 1930s (still has the original car doors) :

^ Seville scripts were on the lower front fenders originally. 'Chunky' grille texture was '76, '77-79 grilles were this finer texture. Further, it appears the sunroof came online for '78.- Beautiful Cars Appreciation Thread

I apparently don't have a thread for my old workhorse. I bought this beast in June of '06, and it already had 46,000 miles on it. Private sale, wholesale value. 6.6L Duramax TD, Allison 5-spd auto, 3.73 rear, crew cab/6.5' bed, 4x4... it was about a $39K truck new. It was my only driver, and I worked out of it daily. I pulled the rear seat and built a giant 'carpenter's box' in that space. I've never opened the motor/trans/rear. It currently has 205,750 miles, still runs great. The only recall was for a rear center seat anchor for a carseat. I didn't bother. Repairs along the way have been: front bearing hubs (twice), brake lines, fuel lines, and just the other week; the in-tank fuel pump. Maintenance has been no problem/bother. I change the oil (myself) between 5K-6K (CarFax on this truck is going to be barren!). LLY-code Duramax is pre-DEF. It does have some rust issues. Frame, cab & bed floors are excellent. However, the rockers are fractured and threatening to blow out. Also- 4 of the 6 cab mounts are no longer holding the cab down. The frame outriggers and the bushing between them & the cab are there, but the washers and lower bushings are... missing. Rear bumper is swiss cheese, but I scored a factory GM bumper off CL for $80. - - - - - Anyway, made a handshake deal/took deposit today to sell it to an old buddy of mine. He always wanted it. He'll burn thru it quick; his '21 Trail Boss has 10K miles in the same time my '21 clocked 3K.... and he has 1, maybe 2 other vehicles he sometimes drives. So the Big Dog Duramax is going down the road. When I bought her :- Industry News: Solid State Breakthrough, Safe, Long-lasting and Energy-dense!
China is OUT. Used is OUT. As in; OUTside the parameters of our chat here. - - - - - So, Spark is a model "Americans don't WANT" and sold 33K units in '20. Bolt (assumedly) is a model 'everybody' wants, and sold 20K units in '20. Perhaps, and to my point; here is where pricing disparity comes into play. ? A fascinating experiment would be (and I've said this before); price a Spark and a Bolt identically, and see where the sales totals fall. I think they will move closer, but NOT invert.- Industry News: Solid State Breakthrough, Safe, Long-lasting and Energy-dense!

What are you talking about?? Didn't you hear? Electric cars are coming, with fewer parts, they'll be really super excellent and cost like $8000 total. D.C is going to outlaw shortages and inflation next week!- Body by Fisher
