The copying machine in my parents' office one day decided to leave burn marks on everything that it copied. A little while later, it decided to turn on and off at its pleasure, even if it was in the middle of a job. The telephone in one of the rooms in their office decided one day to just start ringing non-stop at the loudest volume it could, even though there was no one on the line. And my personal favorite: Our first computer decided to erase the software my dad uses to do estimates for restoring houses after fire/smoke/water damage and every single file for every single customer he had up to that point after I installed a game on it. Man, was that an interesting week...

This is the best camo GM could have done for the Super...looks like nothing more than a regular LaCrosse with aftermarket rims and exhaust tips. I really hope that GM differentiates the Super from the other LaCrosses by more than just 'Super' and 'V8' badges and four portholes on each side. And those rims look really bad on the LaCrosse...

Nice story so far-very detailed and easy to follow. I don't think that you used phone too much. I mean what else can you call it, the plastic thing on a hook that lets you talk to people?
  4. It's ok...nothing bad, but nothing spectacular to me either. Some 5-spoke rims might fix that imo. My single biggest complaint about it is the interior. I can't stand the double hump on the dash...it just looks tacky to me. And a console-mounted shifter couldn't hurt either. It probably will end up growing on me though...MB is just like that to me sometimes.
  5. I don't send out any bad vibes...on purpose. That guy in Starbucks was just a freak incident, but the guy in the Escalade is standard fare around here.
  6. Hah, Bob, it is impossible for this to not happen to you around DC and Baltimore...I was coming home from my mom's office one day and this Escalade decides that it should be able to go before me at a stop sign, even though it was my turn to go through it. He guns it and almost takes the nose off of the Venture. He stops before he does and I floor it before he can hit me again...first time I've chirped tires in a minivan!
  7. Well, our '91 Explorer was used as a daily commuter by my dad. It also was the boat-hauler in the fleet until he managed to blow the torque converter and something else that rendered it incapable of towing for the rest of its life, which was about 10 more years. I share our Sonoma with my dad as of now, until I get my own car. It's his daily ride. It relieved my mom's Venture of boat duty after we bought it.

  12. I like how he phrases that... And I don't agree with him about the 3.8L sounding bad at half-throttle...it sounds good to me at any rpm.

The Armed Forces of this country, active duty or not, alive or passed on, will forever have my utmost respect and gratitude for all they do for the US. On the subject of animals, I haven't hit any, but my a deer ran into my truck while my dad was driving it into work...cost us a new headlight cover, some really strong glue, and a paint touch-up on the area underneath the right headlight.
  15. My neighbor traded in his Deville for a silver one. I haven't driven one or ridden in one, but I sat in one at the Washington Auto Show, and it had a very nice interior. Lots of leg room in the rear, too. What I really like about it is the exhaust note-it sounds great.

  17. Hip-hop? Nah...not my style. It's ok up to a point, but after a while, I need to hear something else. Rock/alternative is more to my liking.
  18. Actually Sixty8, if you have 2 spare moments, could I ask for you to do this as well as the B-body?
  19. That Galaxie looks terrible. The roof looks like it's caving in. But the Vega...wow
  20. Fireworks are very illegal in Prince George's County, but the Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and Target in Anne Arundel County (the county to our east) sell fireworks by the Silverado-full to PG Co residents. But yeah, we have assorted nuts here that set off a couple of bottle rockets and screamers during the few days preceeding and after the 4th every year. It gets pretty annoying when the screamers are still being shot up at around 1 a.m.
