  1. All the Elements sold around here are driven by old people who either don't want or can't afford anything more substantial. I think I've only seen 2 being driven by people under 60. I imagine that they do have impressive cargo-carrying abilities, but that doesn't stop them from being an eyesore.
  2. Maryland summers suck. We have no wind until September, and the humidity here is awful. I hate humidity with a passion. Give me a 70-degree spring day with a light breeze and no humidity, and I'll be outside all day.

Northworst..lol Well, hope everything goes ok. Just take it easy around the Beltway-that road is a product of the devil, I swear it... Anywho, have a nice trip. They're having a fireworks display on the Mall on the 4th at 8pm if you're interested.

Arlington isn't a bad area. It's actually pretty nice, but it's expensive. The hotel should be nice for what you're paying for it, although I guess $670 for a week there isn't very bad. I guess you'll be flying in to Reagan National?

Well, when my sister goes back home to SC, we always have to get her up to BWI a few hours early, so my guess is that you should leave early. But bring a book incase it's changed. BTW, what hotel are you staying at?
  6. White diamond is nice, and red jewel should turn out nice too. But GM, I'd like to see a green, please.

Dude, where was this, on 270?

I may be wrong, but I thought that the 3.9 got downgraded in power because AFM was added to it.

Virginia is a little more expensive to stay in, especially in Arlington County. Unless you go into Montgomery County, Maryland is cheaper, so I'd say MD.

Have a safe trip capriceman. The Beltway is awful-be prepared for it. Which side of the Potomac are you staying on?
  11. I'm Stephen, aka DetroitNut Toyota has never been on my family's shopping list and never will be I drive a GMC Sonoma, sometimes an '81 Jaguar XJ6 w/a Chevy 350 V8 hope to own a RWD Impala some day

Sadly, I have no gay friends... I feel that having a gay friend would be any different than my straight friends; in fact, I think a gay friend would be more normal than the nutjobs I hang around with.

    Sixty8, if you don't mind....?
  14. I actually think the commercial with the floating dash hovering around with the search light is ok. I haven't seen any lately, though. The Fit adds are just plain annoying. There's an entire 4-page leaflet for the thing in the August edition of Motor Trend, and it compares the back of the Fit with, of all things, a mullet. I think they're attacking the Camaro in some way.
  15. This article has given me second thoughts...but I still think that the alliance looks good on paper. And I also just realized that if Kerkorian is proposing this so GM's stocks go up just so he can dump them at a higher price, then I don't support this. I guess I just liked the idea of Ghosn getting active in helping GM out.

Lord in heaven that is one fine Cadillac!

more Eldo convertibles...god they look good...are there any red ones out there? A red Eldorado convertible with tan leather and shiny chrome rims.... the perfect Cadillac...
  18. And, if it is a true alliance, GM will be able to acquire share in Nissan and Renault. That way, this sort of thing can be prevented. I really doubt that Renault would want to get ahold of the GMT900s. Renault focuses more on cars-specifically small cars-than they do large trucks, so I think that the GMT900s would be safe.

A 1996 Eldorado convertible?!? OMG! That's my dream car!....or at least one of them...

So many choices... For me, it's a three-way tie between FoMoCo, the BMW Group, and the Volkswagen Group. Reasons: BMW: I love the M-series, especially the E46 M3. FoMoCo: Mustang, CD3 cars, GT, and Marauder Volkswagen Group: 1) they own Lamborghini 2) they own Audi 3) they own Bentley 4) they make the R32
  21. Teaming up with one of the best-sellers in Europe and with an increasingly successful world-player makes great sense to me. A true alliance can only help GM right now.
  22. Driving during a light rain with the heat on low or when a storm is rolling in or when a great song is on the radio or doing extra-legal speeds on an empty, open highway and just admiring the sounds of your engine in various situations

I like the headlights and the rims...that's about it. It's better than the B9, but not by a whole lot in my book. I wonder what the interior will look like...
