GM kicks off another national incentive program
Disappointed. I guess we'll have to go another year with crazy incentives until GM finally understands how to price their cars correctly. That's the only part of reg's argument I agree with. GM's new cars rock, for the most part. I see little need for them to be "improved." People will purchase them, as we have seen, but only if the price is right.

Part II: '07 Escalade Exposed
It has power deployable running boards like the Navigator so the only time you'll see them is when the doors are open.

GM Unveils 2007 Escalade
Though I understand, to an extent, what you're talking about, I don't understand how the center console can take away that much front leg room. Do you people sit weird or something? Usually your legs go out in front of you, not to the side.

Autoextremist: Ford gets design religion - five...
Amazing what a somewhat distinct front end can do, turbie.

Will the Toyota recalls ever end?
I guess you haven't seen GM and Ford recalls. They make this look like child's play because they sell so many more cars. Ford is trying to get around recalling 7,000,000+ cars (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) because it installed the same cruise control switch that can catch on fire in so many damn cars.

Scion xA Speedster
Just so you know, Toyota didn't make this concept, Five Axis did. It appeared at SEMA.

The Vue
This is what the Vue should have been when it was introduced. I haven't seen any entry-level models yet but they can't be as bas as the original Vue was. Saturn hit this redesign out of the park.

Part II: '07 Escalade Exposed
I'd take the GX and swap it with a Range Rover (forgot about it until moltar mentioned it) but I think both are too small compared with the rest of the group. The QX comes in last place in both exterior design and interior quality. The GX could be more distinctive both inside and out but the materials are there. The Navigator isn't really showy but it looks substantial and upscale, plus its interior is amazing. The Escalade is right up at the top of the pile, no doubt about it. I was just expecting more, I guess, especially in terms of the exterior. The Rover is my choice, though.

Photos of First F/A-22 Raptor
It's awesome no doubt about it. The local air show will not be returning because the base was closed. Sad but luckily it went out with a bang this year. My all-time favorite is still the B2.

GM Unveils 2007 Escalade
The grille detail is amazing. I was wondering why everyone on the other thread was complaining about it when it was obvious you could see it in the photos we got last night. The chrome on the mirrors is cool, too. My only question: why do rear seat passengers get treated to buttons with chrome surrounds while the front has only black plastic surrounding them?

Part II: '07 Escalade Exposed
Isn't A&S supposed to be in your face, bold and brash and all-American? No other cars on the road are styled like modern Cadillacs. I'd bet more people recognize modern Caddy styling than any other design a car line shares. The only thing A&S about the new Escalade is the front end and the taillights.

Part II: '07 Escalade Exposed
Wow... Out of the 3 GMT900 SUVs, the Escalade was the one I was dying to see. Luckily, I didn't die because it wouldn't have been worth it. AH-HA mentioned that the last Escalade was in-your-face and I think that is exactly the way it should be. The new one barely gets up to your neck, if you get what I'm saying. Sure, there were tons of tacked on goodies on the previous-gen but it looked hot and it pulled people into Cadillac dealerships. Unlike the rest of you, I like the grille, minus the chrome strip at the top. I think the grille details are amazing and I like it. The rest of the exterior is plain. The interior, obviously, is a major step up. The flowing console is great and adds a lot to the quality feel of the interior. I think there's a little too much plastic on the center stack and if you look at the Tahoe/Yukon buttons/knobs on the center stack, they look nicer than the ones in the Escalade! Disgusting. I love the blue instrumentation, however. Very different and beautiful. I guess I'll have to wait to see it at Philadelphia but I have a feeling this is not going to live up to the hype of the previous-gen. Unfortunate but what can you do? I think the Tahoe makes the biggest splash by far.

Election Night In Your Town
What's worse: Forcing someone to wear panties on their head or shooting people, burning them and hanging their bodies from a bridge? Few Iraqi/terrorist POWs went through actual torture. Embarrassment, yes. Torture, no. Worse things happen at college campuses across the country every night and no one's up in arms about it. The "don't ask, don't tell" policy, I think, is right. It does not state that homosexuals cannot serve their country. It states homosexuals, and everyone else, should keep their sexual orientation private because it is a private matter. Now, it's probably not enforced the way it was meant to be (and it should be), but it's still a good policy. Forcing military recuiters off of college/high school campuses is very hypocritical. "Yes you can protect me but I don't want to see you here." Of course, it's a college campus so what else can you expect? Full of hate and discrimination for anyone that does not hold the majority communist/socialist/anarchist, "world peace" naive view. I've seen some of the videos and pictures of what these very narrow minded "intellectuals" do to the men and women in the military and it's not pretty. In fact, Oprah without makeup even looks better.

 I missed the election because of age by a month. I wouldn't vote for anyone who threw their medals away, in the heat of the moment or not.

2005 Bonneville GXP
 I drove in the passenger seat when I took my dad to the GM test-drive event. I wasn't old enough to drive but I loved the Bonnie (and GTO). It's a shame it isn't RWD and has a better interior but I'd take it in a heartbeat. Anyone want to give one away? Subsidize one?

So teachers shouldn't have merit-based pay? That would save California some money right there! Edit: spelling (again)
