Bad drivers tend to own... Honda? Toyota? VW?
Some of the biggest assholes on the road that I've seen have been driving Audis. I was driving to school about 5:30 in the afternoon, on the expressway going about 85, and about a quarter mile behind me is this bitch driving an Audi who FLASHES HER BRIGHTS AT ME as she's getting closer and closer, not bothering to change lanes until the very last second.

GM to end production of Buick Rainier
Now, when they say they're moving Buick upmarket to be a luxury brand, that's fine with me, but they better get Cadillac movin' on up a little faster too, so as to limit any market cannibalization as much as possible. Besides, I've always wanted to see Caddy give Rolls-Royce and Bentley a run for their money.

2008 Scion xD
Every time Scion releases a new car, the more I think its just a big prank Toyota is playing on us. Like they had a bet that they could sell America the most butt ugly cars imaginable and we'd eat 'em up because they're from Japan.

You Have Much to Live for, Robot!
*groan* This country has gotten so soft and so politically correct. God, everyone else in the world thinks we're all war mongers, but when you're living in America its like we're all a bunch of pussies.

Chrysler Cuts Will Bind It More to Benz
I don't know about anyone else, but the thought of Chrysler becoming MORE integrated with Daimler-Benz makes me feel uneasy, like the Chrysler Group is about to be swallowed whole by the parent company.

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Saturn VUE Red Line and Green Line
Not a big fan of the Vue when it first came out, not a big fan of the redesigned Vue. Don't really like its chubby looks or the interior very much.

2008 Saturn Astra
I can totally dig on the 3-door Astra, but the interior turns me off big time.

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Pontiac G8 GT
It looks good, its got that real aggressive look that yells "PONTIAC", I love the interior and just the basic concept of a big RWD V8 sedan. But there are things I would change. I don't like the names Pontiac is giving their cars right now...G5, G6, G8...stop it. Just regular names, PLEASE. Pontiac has a fine selection of names they could have called upon for this car and its a shame they had to pick one with such little character. And although the G8 is better looking than the other Pontiacs out right now, it still kind of has that generalized Pontiac look that makes the front ends of the G6, G5 and Grand Prix almost indistinguishable. Inject a little more flair into the design and it'll be fine.

Some closure on W bodies
The Roger Smith era won't be closed until GM rectifies all the damage that old bastard caused. It'll be over when GM is healthy enough and has marketshare enough to keep its American plants and employ more workers. It will be over when the market cannibalism stops for good and the brands have their own proper identities again. I'm throwing a party when that asshole croaks.

The Death of Saturn
My ex-girlfriend had a 2000 or 2001 Saturn S-Series that she'd make me drive when she didn't feel like it. Mechanically it was a good, reliable, economical car. Other than that, the car was ugly, cheap, cramped and uncomfortable. I can tell you that I would never consider getting an S-Series, L-Series or Ion. BUT after seeing the new products and actually being able to sit inside and inspect them at NAIAS, I'm beginning to actually like the brand. Killing the old Saturn was probably the best thing for the brand. It made its existance have a little more meaning than just "cheap import imitator". Saturn gets to be its own thing now, not just a copy of Japanese economy cars.

Can GM make hip happen?
GM can make hip happen. They did it with Cadillac perfectly, like the article said. Of course its no easy task trying to make a brand appeal to a wider customer base without alienating the core customers (e.g. Oldsmobile). I would start with Buick personally. If there's any brand in desperate need of getting its cool back, its Buick.

Ah yes, the Brits and their love of American cars
Eh, I really couldn't care less what the Brits think of Hummer. Hell, I don't care for Land Rover, but the English aren't going to get up in arms because of that. Of course, I don't think they hate Hummer because its owned by an American company. Remember, Ford owns Land Rover.

GM May Sell Allison Transmission
I'm not 100% sure what they mean by "core business" here when they're talking about selling off a transmission divison. As far as I'm concerned Allison is as much a part of their core business as Delphi and Fisher Body were. They sell off Allison, they lose advantage in the marketplace.

98,000 Chevy Cobalt sedans Recalled
This recall is nowhere near as bad as Toyota's recent one was. 1/5 less vehicles being recalled, no injuries due to the problem, and, oh yeah, would only be an issue for people disobeying the law by not wearing seatbelts. The press would look like complete fools to cry foul over something like this.

Your Most Favorite Car from Olds....
My two favorites of all time are the '69-'71 442 and the first generation Toronado. As for more recent product, its a toss up between the first and second gen Aurora. I liked my old Eighty Eight, too, may she rest in piece.

Buick Announces Pricing For All-New Enclave Luxury Crossover SUV
This thing is gonna sell like mad. I can't wait to hear people start eating their words about Buick when it becomes plainer than day that a whole range of people drive them, not just 70-year old men.

Toyota recalling 500,000 + Tundras and Sequoias
So where exactly is this wealth of Tundras and Sequoias anyway? I've seen more GTOs around than either one of them.

Green Beat: GM Jolted by Chevrolet Volt Buzz
I don't think they should rush it out, but it needs to be out soon before Toyota grabs the idea and runs off with it. I definitely agree that this should be top priority for GM right now. I wouldn't really mind if development on the Volt caused Camaro production to be delayed, as long as they get a grand slam of a product out of the Volt.

Toyota open to Ford alliance, if asked
As long as the alliance isn't a buyout, I really don't care. Ford needs all the help it can get right now.
