Its like a sedan delivery...but much uglier.- Honda Slashes Ridgeline Production
I...never said that. I just find it funny that this occurs during an Edmunds test. I'm sure a few editors were confused as to what they should write when a Honda does something like this. Imagine how the gears in their head would grind if a BMW left them completely stranded. Whoa boy. Remember, these are some of the same editors that wrote three sentences about how inferior the ergonomics on a Regal were because the center console couldn't easily accomodate a double CD case.- Honda Slashes Ridgeline Production
Well, to be completely honest, this either speaks badly of the Ridgeline or Edmunds and since I don't like either particularly, I laugh and smile.- When it rains, it pours...
Both of you need to stop this. Seriously. Expect PMs.- Honda Slashes Ridgeline Production
Picking and choosing is fun, but isn't necessary. People are merely commenting on an article. To elaborate on what AH-HA said, there has been dreadful marketing on part of the Ridgeline. Logical commercials would've extolled its docile suburban qualities, perhaps showing it parking where massive trucks can't, riding like massive trucks can't, and the like. Instead, we get a pointless commercial with some guy brandishing a Honda-logo'd belt buckle and another one showing the Ridgeline plowing through mud offroad. Real pickup guys laughed at it. Honda owners probably laughed at it. I'm sorry, but when your 'truck' blows its shocks on a mild unimproved road after showcasing commercials like that, its hillarious.- Clearwater police quietly introduce hybrid sedans
Should've asked what the Employee Discount Price was on one.- Car Spotting
A two-tone pastel yellow on Maytag white 2000ish Chrysler T&C (wtf??????).- Clearwater police quietly introduce hybrid sedans
I have seen a few of these. First, I dismissed them as random Priuses having those ugly yellow anti-abortion vanity plates, but I guess they really were city vehicles. This was confirmed when I saw two Priuses with city tags at a police standoff Sunday night.- No reverse lamps
Sooo...is everyone's car going to break in some fashion this week?- Avalon Pursuit?
1) Its not horsepower solely; its also torque. 2) An engine like the Vic's is preferred because of wide, cheap parts availability and ease of maintenance. 3) Avalons don't seem to offer anything special in terms of anything a law enforcement agency would want. I've heard Volvos were well-liked in early rounds of testing by Miami-Dade and other agencies, but price was a big factor against it. Even so, apparently they handled and accelerated magnificently. I don't see the sloppy Avalon doing that well. 4) Crown Vics are really half-trucks compared to any other car today and while BOF is old, outdated, and heavier than necessary for most applications, for police work, its ideal. Its less refined and rougher, therefore able to pop curbs and the like more than most unibody cars probably would. You and I don't need this capability, but the police do. Vics are also f-ing massive, which makes them great ramming cars. 5) Impalas you see in police duty are great for certain purposes, for example, a smaller agency mainly involved with urban and suburban environments. If your squad is predominately sitting, idling running a speed trap or DUI checkpoint, you don't need to outright power of a Vic. 6) Impalas can be picked up super on-the-cheap and guess what? Cops don't give two shits about how switchwork feels and the textures under the dash, so where the Avalon excels is irrelevant and its price is a hindrance.- When it rains, it pours...
Well, I have a gold '05 DeVille rental for the day. Woo.- Honda Slashes Ridgeline Production
Professionals and people who use the capability. As said, two different vehicle classes for two different groups.- Well... As with Flybrian...
Something's wrong with it for it to sell for 1/4 its lowest value. Something either seriously wrong, its hot, or something like that.- Toyota Developing Hybrid Tundra
I think that may have to do with the S10s/Sonomas still being sold earlier this year as well as the fractioning of GM midsize truck sales between the Colorado and Canyon.- Honda Slashes Ridgeline Production
More evidence that this is simply an onroad vehicle, much to the chagrin of Honda's own advertising showing Ridgelines doing mild offroading.- Pontiac Solstice cartoon

I feel bad for a future long-term girlfriend. Bwahahah j/k. Get this... ...you know you want to. You can be Hell's unemployed. BTW, I'm trading nothing, guys. Its like we're having an intervention or something. I'd only ever be trading money for another car. :P- ---- What now? ----
Oh yeah. I went there.- To quell all concerns...
Yes, it seems that GM has learned from its model/trim faux pas of the past and has made Lucerne a very a la carte car. According to the brochure, along with navigation, the h/k 9-speaker stereo, six-disc changer, remote start, electrochromic mirror, Ultrasonic park assist, and RainSense are all options on the CX, as are three of the four option groups. This means its possible to get a Lucerne with navigation, remote start, 3800III V6 and a bench seat if desired. Very nice, GM. Of course, material in this publication is subject to change... :P- Oldsmobile Aurora (1st gen) Catalog
I guess you know what I have to say about this certain vehicle. :) Only about 100,000 Classic Auroras built from 1995-1999 model years. Simply the very best in design, powertrain, and technology GM had to offer in the mid-90s. Truly a special automobile. - ~ Scoville & Sayers hearse
