I look at it proportionally - I see dozens and dozens of regular Lancers for every Evo. I would also argue that even base Mustangs and Camaros look nice on the outside and convey a sense of performance even if a Buick Regal can outgun it in a stoplight race. I can accept the goofy styling and tack-ons of an Evo because its totally within its character as a hot rally-type car. Lancer is an awesome name and appropriate for this... But not this...

Okay, Sixty8, chill. As Z pointed out, most Lancers here are lame. I'm taking about the one you get at Enterprise when they've rented out the rest of the fleet, not the EVOs and such. Sport compacts aren't my cup of tea, but I appreciate their attributes. But aside from the expensive performance models, the Lancers are quite lame with their faux wood dash, blocky proportions, and J-Lo rear bumper. See, I'm also not sure about Mirage and Sentra as the cars were surely junk but the names weren't hot either. Actually, yeah, Mirage is pretty neat. Sentra is...yeah.

Brewsills, calm down. Seriously. What Evok is doing is clearly different from what Polish_Kris did. I saw no "goofballs," "fools," or other derogatory words in his post. I saw no call for Ridgeline owners to 'bomb' C&G with "OUR RIDGELINE ROCKS UR CHEVYS SUCK!!!1111" comments. Simply, he's asking for an owner's opinion whose result would be to bolster/refute his argument. I see nothing wrong with his post. I and the other Mods appreciate your passion for domestic vehicles and support for the site, but we don't need forum deputies seeking out every comment made about GM or C&G made on another site. And if Ridgeline owners choose to respond to this thread, they're more than welcome to as long as they abide by the same rules and general respect we're all expected to have - civil tones and no GM bashing. Very simple. Please don't throw fuel and a match when there was no fire to begin with. Evok is offering up his opinions as you are yours. If you agree, fine. If not, also fine. I don't necessarily agree with his assessments and predictions, but that's my right as it is his to post them. That last paragraph goes out to everyone. Dial it back, guys, and let all who respectfully share their thoughts be able to share them. You wouldn't appreciate it if you were treated differently. Thanks.

This 'Ridgeline gets better fuel economy' is another huge misnomer. It doesn't. Period. Look it up and you'll see a Silverado with a V8 putting out 40 more hp and a whole lot more torque gets the same EPA-rated fuel economy as a V6 Ridgeline. The whole point is this: Ridgline is not a real pickup truck; its a Pilot with a bed in the back. Pickups buyers would never consider a Ridgeline because its useless - it can't tow much and its FWD-biased so even what it can tow, it can't do it with the stability of a regular truck, it can't haul much, and its pretty expensive for what you get. Likewise, Ridgeline buyers would never consider a real truck because they're too bulky, too uncomfortable for them, and (in their minds) suck more gas. Comparing it head-to-head with a fullsize truck is a misnomer; car buying sites do it because there's no where else to categorize it and popular car magazines do it because they're idiots and don't really know shit about anything and already wrote about the Nissan Titan buying everybody. It fills a niche for Honda to stop people from buying other midsize trucks, like the Colorado, Frontier, etc. In reality, though, it doesn't strike me as being that competitive. It looks funny, the interior is laughable even for a truck, and its sole 'innovation' is an in-bed trunk design that hinders access to the spare tire when it or the bed are loaded with things.
