1. Wow, love the white 58 Chev, the Nova is damn near perfect... Thanks also for posting the nice pics of the Ivy green mustang and the sweet 36 Ford. of all the cars there, I say I'd most like to have the 36 Ford stocker/resto...I am a sucker for restored 30's Fords and Chevy's...maybe the last one on the planet that doesn't want to see every blessed car turned into a street rod. But thanks again, Camino! Chris
2. Considering it's been 6 weeks since I've seen either an Aura or an Astra in the wild (on the streets) this logic seems to be coming right from Toyota HQ. And GM marketing does stink, Astra and Aura are great cars and should be flying of of dealer lots....along with a whole lotta' Pontiacs, Buicks, and Chevy's. Chris
3. Solstice GXP is a sweet car, go watch them run at Road America, Road Atlanta, VIR, Mid Ohio et al at SCCA races. Pontiac has another serious car your over looking. At the last runoffs (SCCA Championships) The Solstice was leading a frieght train of Hondas, Mazdas and BMW's for its class win. And GM won more races at the runoffs last year than anybody, more than Mazda, more than Ford, more than Porsche, more than BMW... Chris
4. Abortion might be a more fitting word,Camino. Chris
5. This Absolutely utterly, utterly, utterly has to be the post of the month! Chris
6. My vote is going to be for Obama, I dislike McCain but I agree in the free market approach to things, but also agree that the "playing field" needs to be level. Chris
7. With the price being right on the v6 car, I could handle that....hmmmm....me thinks the Miata might have a garage mate to keep it warm on cold Ohio nights! Chris
8. It would certainly get my vote... Chris
9. At my daughters high school graduation one of the parents pulled up in a Camry hybrid. You'd have thought it was an Enzo Ferrari driven by a naked supermodel given the response of people standing around in the parking lot. These things do have a fan base. Makes me long for my own high school graduation, where Oldsmobile was the car to own! I remember my dad pulled up to MY graduation in a nice looking 88...Now THAT was a car... Chris
10. I'm with you on the bike thing, Dodgefan. I am thinking seriously of getting one. Chris
11. +1 Not just yes but HELL YES! Chris
12. ...actually I love both Honda and BMW bikes... Chris
13. Exactly. What scares me is that people are actually in favor of electing McCain, whom I feal will be about as bad. But yes, Bush is worthless. Chris
14. ...yes you could. Come over to the dark side son, once you've been here there is no coming back. Chris
15. Would make like a great weekend toy, but modern sports cars would be a better daily. But yeah, the 240Z would be in my top 10 list of all time gotta have cars. Chris
16. Jesus, Chris we must be twins seperated at birth or something. The TT is my other Gotta Gotta Gotta have car. Again, nice roadster will spoil you for any other car on the road... Chris
17. NO! Don't do it! As a Miata owner and lover, and as a fan of S2000, all I can say is once you've onwed a roadster like that there is no going back. It will spoil you for every other car on the road. Chris
18. Actually it is a nice piece... Chris
19. As a current scion owner disgusted with the direction that Scion is taking, I would love to see Saturn become a "Scion like brand" as long as they build cars like the quirky first gen xB. Forget the current xB or xD. Chris
20. ...or the memoirs of a termite perhaps? Chris
21. QUOTE(Pontiac Custom-S @ Jun 25 2008, 05:16 PM) What are you trying to say? ...that when Joanna (my 12 year old daughter) gets her wish and gets a beetle convertilbe there ain't a whole lotta chance of me borrowing it. Chris
22. I would love to be able to buy GM stock right now... Chris
23. We have two guys driving beetle Converts who are room mates and live in my neighborhood. They are both very masculine types, but I have to laugh when I see them cruising around in a baby blue beetle convertible. That being said, I drive a Miata and my teenage daughter wants us to get a beetle. I'll gladly drive a Mini or a Miata, but a beetle ragtop is pushing the limits a bit much for a guy... Chris
24. Personally, I sm sort of Biased...but IMHO after the 65 GTO, everything else is just a foot-note as far as muscle cars is concerned. Chris
