  1. But they are losing the leads they have built on all of these. LX is dead, replaced by less fuel efficient RWD cars. Honda now sells the best selling Minivan. First gen Neon was a decent car, but Chrysler is getting it's ass KICKED by Honda, Toyota, Mazda, VW, GM, Ford, and a few others in the small car department. Chrysler IMHO seems to get off to a good start but then never take advantadge of their lead and keep up with a good thing. Chris
  2. ....at the rate we are going, Sushi, Bratwurst, and Kimshi will be all that auto execs are eating.... Seriously, I think GM will make it.
  3. I think a few of us need to rant today.... Chris
  4. Mazda 3 is so much better than the Corolla it's like they are not even built on the same planet. Chris
  5. The Jetta has a great interior, it is very comfortable and a really nice product. Chris
  6. I'd rather see ChryCo go than Honda or Mazda... Chris
  7. The Civic is infinitely nicer than the Lancer... Chris
  8. You guys can laugh your asses off, but I live in Ohio and make my living as an electrician. We keep disconnecting the power to nice, useable industrail buildings so they can be torn down...and building fast food resteraunts. It's funny because we are finishing up a Burger King and a Taco bell and there must be 20-30 people a day who stop in wanting jobs. Things are going to go to absolute utter-utter-uttter $h! here in short order if something doesn't change. But then again, Civics are built...here in Ohio. Except for the SI, which is built in Canada. (enter sarcasm mode) ....and one wouldn't want to trust Canadians with building a burger, much less a car... (Exit sarcasm mode) Chris
  9. The Lancer is a godawful piece of crap from a company that should be out of buisiness.... Chris
  10. Exactly. Fuel economy seems to be selling well for obvious reasons, and 200 horse is plenty for 95% of cars on the planet... Chris
  11. Actually I think the girl and the F body are just fine.... Actually the 4th gen F-body has really grown on me as of late... Chris
  12. Depends on the dealer. Some local dealers have been sold out for months, but the Librarian at the Library I use drives one he just bought. He says that they had 12 on the lot, including a couple of 07's. Chris
  13. ...and here I always thought Canadians were smarter than Americans... Chris
  14. I don't think that GM should give up building larger vehicles, they just need to build fewer of them. The Chevy dealer in Logan, Ohio sells lots of Chevy trucks to people from Columbus. Why? Because they are in farm country and Farmers, contractors, people with large animals, etc, need trucks. We just need to get in the buisiness of building great small cars. Chris
  15. I just love this thread, keep it coming. There was a set of pics on a nudie car site of a pink 59 Invicta (I think it was nudeautomall or something) with a couple of topless chics. Then there was the pink 59 Caddy with a nekkid chick in playboy a few months back. ...and then there was a pink 59 Chevy ragtop on the wall of my local bodyshop in an old girly calender. I guess this makes a Trifecta of sorts...now I just need a photo of a pink 59 Olds and a pink 59 Pontiac with chicks and I'd be all set! Chris
  16. Around here there is a waiting list from hell for a Fit. I asked my local Honda dealer about a manual Fit sport, and was told I could get one...in late August. Honda IMHO has MUCH better engeneering than Toyota, and I would own a Honda or Mazda before I would own almost any other Asian or Euro car. Chris
  17. The sprinter really is a nice product... Chris
  18. Agreed, good to see the bu and the CTS doing so well... Chris
  19. Oh, and...HOLY $h!, Lexus is taking this economic downturn hard... Chris
  20. TC is a dated design and not a well designed car. I own and drive a first gen xB, and we looked at a TC for the wife. TC is NOT an impressive car by any standard, IMHO. Yaris is doing well but other small subcompacts are much better cars. Chris
  21. Hell yes it's permanant. Get used to the idea of $6.00 a gallon gas. One of the mother's of one of the boys in my sons cub scout troup tried to trade in her late model F-150 on a Fusion. The Ford dealer wouldn't take the F150 at any price. I have a friend that sells Honda's. A customer came in with a Tahoe, the Honda dealer told them that they'd give him $10,000 towards a Civic. That was when gas was $3.29 When it went to $4.00 per gallon, he wanted to trade the Tahoe. The Honda dealer reduced their offer to $6,000 for the Same vehicle. Demand for Trucks just isn't coming back. Chris
  22. Don't worry, when the new Camaro comes out you will be assimilated to the "dark side" just fine... Seriously, it is a hot car and even though I am not a big fan of Chrysler I find myself wanting one a little bit... Chris
  23. ...but what we need now is a dinstinctly American MODERN car, not the rebirth of a 40 year old Idea. I'm not saying it isn't cool... but... Chris
  24. Exactly...in 1970 I would much rather have bought a sweet Mach 1 or Boss 302 or a nice z-28 rather than a Challenger. Thirty eight years later, I'd still rather have the Mustang or Camaro. Chris
  25. Yes, revive Olds! I wish it were that simple... Chris
