It's definitely a crazy winter here... in a good way. Right about now on any average year I'm braving -52* after wind chill for at least a week, I'm also usually sick right about now, but touch wood I'm not sick right now...

Well... Brace Yourselves. Computer Said No Compression in Cylinder One... So it's a 3.8L V5 now. The sad part is that his dad says that enough money has gone into the car already (nearly 3600$ Y.T.D.) so there will be no more repairs and nothing but oil changes and gasoline in expenditures... When the engine finally gives up the ghost a Buick will be bought... Such a sad ending. If I was in a better financial condition I'd buy the car and plop a new engine into it to rescue it as there are no other problems, but alas now is not the time for a 5th Car... So I guess it's a slow and painful death for das Kubelwagen

Well We Put down a deposit and we'll pay for her in full tomorrow... So since they have to do the undercoating and fix a couple problems with the interior, we shouldn't get it until Monday or even Tuesday... My dad had a real hard time with this one, and he's not going to return the lease on the Venture until Valentine's Day, so we're a 4-Car Fleet until further notice. Things move in mysterious ways... My grandparents Caravan and its tinfoil transmission is giving them trouble now... Granddad wants an Impala or Allure so we're going down there tomorrow with him now... It's a never ending cycle

Yeah, so it looks like a go... so I've got one question is this one: Is the Remote Starter Prep Kit installed by the dealer, or does it need to be ordered by the factory (trying to find out if we can install the GM Remote Starter...)

Just got back from our dealer and we will likely be rolling in a W-Body by the end of the week. The Buick we initially came down to see was sold on Saturday but we saw a 2007 Impala on the Used Lot that was built less than six months ago and only had 11K Kms (6500 miles) on it, so we figured what the hell, seems like the right car and the price is right so we're gonna buy it (pending my mother's approval). It's Dark Silver Impala LS with Graphite Cloth interior and Wood Interior trim. It's also got alloys, spoiler, XM Radio, OnStar, Bucket Seats w. Floor Shift, Remote Start, Those neat folding rear seat cushion things (I don't know what they're called), and Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel with Audio Controls... I'll get some pics up tomorrow but as far as I can see, the Venture is history this week.

Would I be the only one to think (and say) that this truck is too GMC or Ford and doesn't look Bold, or Mean or enough like a Menacing Dodge truck??

Coil pack could be it... He's having this other problem, when he turns the steering wheel @ low speed the car makes a terrible groaning noise that I can only liken to a dying beached whale... any chance both problems are connected?

I'd stick and wait a while... I replaced the Delco original battery in my Cavalier last spring and it only died because my mom left the headlights on overnight.

Thanks Scharmer, I really wish I grew up in a small town, I really envy my relatives in Nova Scotia in this sense. Anyway, my dad warned me today that even though this idiot is suspended and not supposed to be anywhere near my school tomorrow, that him and a couple of friends could be waiting in the parking lot tomorrow morning to give me a curb stomping (typical ex-cop). So I'm thinking I'll lurk in my car until a couple of my friends show up in the parking lot before I go out there (strength in numbers)
