What does a LeSabre and HHR have in common?
Maybe Buick should make a commercial about the origin of the Ventiports and say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Real Life Torrent GXP Pics
I assume, hopefully, since the Equinox is being considered to replace the Venture in Feb, that the 3400 does better than that!

People are weird...
idk... If I was going to get vanity plates they'd say NCC1701 or 737-200 or something nerdy.

So I'm feeling pretty confident
I think it would be a sin to make it anything but a Chevy.

CROSSOVERS
Get me a Roadmaster Estate, and I'll just sit in the Costco Parking lot loading bags to make people jealous at the efficient use of space compared to a weenie crossover.

NG CTS on Burn Notice last night
Ah, USA Network... Wish I could get them up here. Interesting them placing a CTS in Burn Notice, This is the network that has had shameless plugs for the Buick Lucerne inserted into Monk every once in a while (not that I mind because Monk is one of my favourites, and so is the Lucerne for that matter). http://www.usanetwork.com/series/monk/buick/index.html

Everything That Can Go Wrong
Well the light T/C and ABS lights are coming on and staying on, but they sometimes go off for ~15 sec. so essentially useless. Now when it's started, it turns over 3x instead of 1x before it starts. (Alternator?)

Cute as a button...
It's a Vanden Plas.

Everything That Can Go Wrong
- Everything That Can Go Wrong
Took the Venture on a road trip down to Washington State and would you believe it, after 50K Km, everything is going awry. In six days, the ABS, T/C have failed, the Tranny has started slipping and hesitating, and the starter is acting wonky... on top of that we lost three of those plastic wheel nut covers because, as it turns out, the lug nuts weren't tightened properly at the last tire rotation, last week. Making an appt at the dealer this week now that I'm back in Canukistan, but I don't know how extensive this repair is gonna be. We're getting to the point over here where we have had almost enough with the service dept. at the dealer where we buy our cars... it's just like one blunder after another with these guys. The retractors for the sunshade in the MAXX went for the big one in mid July, we were told that the part had to be ordered, it would take 1.5 weeks, and that we'd be notified the second it arrives... A month goes by and no word. When the van goes in for a tire rotation last week, it was discovered that the part had been sitting there since 5 DAYS after it was ordered and we were NEVER NOTIFIED. Took the car in last week only to find out that they ordered the wrong part for a front SUNROOF MOTOR even though our car OBVIOUSLY isn't equipped with one. The correct part is overnighted from Edmonton and the repair is done the next day (it took 3 hours).- Which GM vehicle would you take in a contest?
I'd go with the CXL V6 on the Buick... I loves me the 3800. Please don't kill me. The 3800 is more economical but if I won gas money with the car, I'd go N*. See, the weather where I live is often touch and go and often we have snow on the ground from October into June. FWD is better for traction on ice because I don't want to put sandbags in my trunk to weigh it down.- 2008 CTS in Oshawa (take 2)
I hear that with the new-design Alberta license plates, that we'll be going back to front plates as well actually.- Which GM vehicle would you take in a contest?
