Cadillac Takes A Trip In The Ciel Concept
Two words for this car: f@#kING AWESOME. Whoever designed this car captured what I have always thought a modern big Cadillac should look like, but have never been able to articulate. This is what the XTS Sedan should have looked like, and what the RWD flagship should still look like. More linear and a definite positive evolution of A&S. Love the protruding taillights and the hood/front fascia sculpting. Rear deck is reminiscent of 1967-69 Eldorado. Slap a hardtop on it and build it- Sedan or big coupe I don't care.

Found on eBay: 1959 Chrylser Imperial Four Door Hardtop
The Imperials of the 1950s and 1960s were all kinds of epic... I'm not sure if I'm big on the red/green "Christmas" colour combo though.

The Search Begins in Earnest
Found another one in town. 1994 Brougham, White, Burgundy leather, Vinyl top, Chrome wheels, factory Astroroof, 80k miles, underbody perfect. Seems to be in perfect condition inside and out... Wants significantly more than the other one I looked at but if the condition checks out it may well be worth almost as much as he is asking. Hoping to check it out this weekend!

I'm really sorry to hear that 'ocn, but if it's a total loss then it could have been a lot worse for you. Glad to hear you're alright.

2012 Chevy Impala
I'm going to have to treat myself to one for the 07... It's the same shape and style as the original one, just leather so they are swappable. Time to hit the parts counter!

Back from the dead...
Glad to see you're alive... that's a pretty sweet arrangement of German metal you've got right now to be sure!

GM Main Street in Motion...Philly Today
Roger it's funny you mention your preference of the black over the Cocoa/Cashmere. I think the black is just too monotone for the Cruze and if I was to purchase one I wouldn't want that. In my Impala it's passable because the woodgrain breaks up the monotony a bit but I digress... The brown/tan is okay since it's still dark carpets (easier to keep clean), but also brightens up the cabin. I also like the Ebony/Brick for what it's worth.

Huge cars
I like big cars and small, they both serve their purposes. My next car will likely be a Cruze, Malibu, or Verano. Even so I don't think I could ever part with having a big car in my life. Will probably keep my 07 Impala indefinitely.

Gag me with a spoon.
This is an interesting use of a LOW MILEAGE (39k) 1975 Fleetwood Series 75 with a 500cu. engine to say the least... I think I'm going to be sick.

The Search Begins in Earnest
I finally got to seeing the above car in person and driving it today (located in a small town about a couple hours away)... The estate just got settled I guess and it's finally good to go. It's far from perfect but I think I can get a good deal; going to have it thoroughly inspected at local GM dealer to get idea of what I'm dealing with. GOOD: -Shocks and springs seem to be in good condition -Interior is absolutely like new -Prestwick Cloth seats are flawless (in part owed to the fact that this is cloth and not leather, wears better). Very clean -No codes present on the diagnostic screen for OBD1 on the ECC unit -Power Antenna and Astroroof work -Has Rolling-Code Homelink already installed -Engine fires right up, feels strong under acceleration and around town. Runs smooth as butter. -Transmission done in 2004 and not much mileage since then, less to worry about. -Ride is sorted, feels confident. No hesitation. -Power seats and heaters work along with memory -The lower dash panels aren't loose like they would be often on these cars -Still has complete owner's portfolio -2nd owner but car has always been parked in heated garage, it shows -Body is straight considering mileage, no rust BAD: -Has an obvious oil leak, marked its territory under where I had it parked. Doesn't look too serious but the inspection will tell the tale -Hasn't really been driven in about 2 years -Clunk/knock coming from front suspension when wheel brought over. Not sure if it's an actual problem though as I think this is attributable to use of 235/75R15 instead of 70R15. With the non-HD commercial chassis suspension the front tires could just rub the wells on full LH down -Rear reverse lights- work but one has a broken bracket misaligned and loose, both are faded and could just be replaced. -Small squeak from rear brakes -Tires really have had it. Cracks on sidewalls and very little tread. Obviously long discontinued Bridgestone tire and they will need to be replaced immediately. -LR Window rollers are shot -Rear C-Pillar Reveal needs to be removed, painted and re-clipped -Both glass headlamps are cracked and require replacement List of equipment in the car: Will be inspected this week and then if there's nothing insurmountable or scary that comes back beyond the obvious, I'm considering it.

Rumorpile - 2-Door Cruze Coming Soon To Orion Assembly?
If they offered a coupe or hatch they might be able to push sales significantly higher...

Astra ragtop = Verano possibility?
I'd totally rock one if it did have the hardtop... Soft ones don't wear so well in all weather conditions up here. Still would be a great model for Buick.

Check out what I've been driving for the past few days
It would have to be... The Impala, Crown Victoria and Charger are all made in Canada.

The city police here are also going with the Taurus with a spattering of Chargers for detectives and unmarkeds.

Ford To Invest A Billion Dollars Into Lincoln
I would think the good strategy here would be to focus on getting one or two key core models right... then cascade and waterfall from there. Focus on making the MKZ and MKX competitive and then move out towards a C-Segment car and a proper MKS, all the while recognizing that the mass-market potential best sellers of the line have to lead the edge.

Vehicle: Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible (1965)
Nice Find! My dad's first car was a 1965 Impala SS vert with the 283/Powerglide combo as well... except his was Candy Apple Red, black interior and top.

Cars my step-son is considering to buy...
I dunno. My old neighbor had a low mileage 1998-ish S-10 Blazer... blown head gasket. I probably should have bought it for dirt cheap and fixed it, but I didn't want a little SUV. I see 3-4 '94-'02 on CL going for dirt cheap... each one needs an engine or tranny. Not always high mileage, either. I was referring more towards the electrical and other gremlins that they had... The 4.3 wasn't the bestest by far

Cars my step-son is considering to buy...
I know a few who had the earlier S-10s and Jimmys who had non stop problems. The later ones towards the end of the production seemed to have most of the bugs worked out IIRC.

Chevy Impala LT
You can turn that off and or program the lock and unlock points (key out, park, etc..) in the settings section of the DIC. There's actually lots of stuff to program in there- even the volume of the turn signal clicking.
