Chevrolet Delivers!
That's a great find... in a way I see my fleet-spec 2007 Impala LS as sort of the Biscayne of its day.

Spotted On The Cloverleaf
Saw this today, took a spit take and had to circle around the block and get a picture of it. Talk about your shameless trademark ripoffs... Somewhere, Saul Bass is spinning in his grave.

Why So Serious?
Yes. It was available from 2004-2006 I believe. I think it wears red very well too. Those wheels look great on it in BV's pic, but just about anything would be an improvement over the stockers that GM offered. That being said the Comp-G wheels were not bad.

Why So Serious?
Isn't that a fairly late color? IIRC that color was available earlier on in production (2005 or so)...

Patent Reveals 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission From GM
Didn't they also patent 8- and 9-Speed transmissions a while ago? Could be a while before we see them but if Chrysler is using dualclutch and 8 speeds then maybe sooner?

True facts, probably the Ford Thunderbird roadster of the day in terms of residuals.

Must be the same people who made one for the Astra when it was here...

Glad to see you came to your senses and bought the Fiesta... It's a sharp little hatch.

2011 Minivan Shootout
I really like that Town and Country interior, it's my favorite of the bunch. Higher trim Dodges are nice too, but I also knida like the Quest interior. Still, I think the Chrysler twins are the ones that look to have the most user-friendly setup in the interior. Look at the shifter blocking the climate controls on ALL the other ones.

Spotted On The Cloverleaf
I know they made a Jade Gray and a darker Green for the Fleetwood but I am unaware of a green factory interior, to my knowledge there were only six colors (Black, Blue, Gray, Neutral, Red, Burgundy). Perhaps Derek has some light to shed on this.

8.9-magnitude quake triggers devastating Japan tsunami
Actually, I disagree entirely. The tsunami did not cause this. Human error caused this. Human error in making a series of assumptions in the construction of the plant and the seawalls. There were calculated engineering decisions made to locate the plant in its location and put some of its facilities on such low ground, and then there were assumptions on the sea walls--that they'd never be breached. The plant survived the EQ, and would have survived the tsunami had it had sufficient backup systems and did not rely on an external power source. This appears to be the critical flaw: when the external power source failed, and inadequate backup systems were in place, the cascade of failures began. Remember, this was the 5th largest EQ in recorded history (only about 200 years, honestly, if even that)...not the largest. It also occurred in the Pacific Ring of Fire--a region known for its frequent and frequently strong seismic activity. It's not like a 10.0 let rip in the middle of Manhattan. I agree with you if you want to zoom out on the whole thing I was just specifically talking about what killed the backup systems, not the cause behind the cause which is plainly, as you said, human error.

8.9-magnitude quake triggers devastating Japan tsunami
An important point to remember is that the tsunami caused all this havoc at the plant, not the earthquake itself. Water washed out diesel cooling pumps or something like that. They had a nuclear power specialist on one of the nationally syndicated talk shows a couple afternoons ago talking about this whole thing and he was basically saying that they "have to build next to the ocean for cooling but can't build next to the ocean for fear of tsunami" ( ) With all the controls and whatnot, especially learning from the mistakes of the past I don't really feel insecure about nuclear plants built well enough inland...

Nude model or groping victim?
You know I went through one of those scanners at Sky Harbor on Jan. 3 and for an hour after my arms face etc... became flushed and very red; almost as if I had some sort of reaction to the scan.

Spotted On The Cloverleaf
Same here. 3 in 2 days, all black, all different. I didn't notice how similar the GC and Durango are from behind until I went to the Chrysler dealer a couple weeks ago...

More Malibu Spy Photos
If that's what the interior looks like, all I can say is ICKY. Cruze is classier than that quite frankly. Seems they are looking at going away from the current Malibu with the classy, understated exterior lines and interior that makes it look like a more expensive car than it is, for more cluttered and incoherent styling. Hopefully not just for the sake of it. The ironic thing is that back in the 1960s wealthy people would buy Malibus because they looked and felt like more expensive cars and were of a high quality. I think the current one is the only thing that comes close to that today... I'll reserve on the exterior until I see it complete but that interior is not looking promising.

Schucks.
Maybe it's not a favorite suggestion but what about a pickup truck/SUV from the late 1990s- bulletproof powertrain at least if not an ideal type of vehicle for you.

A Little Gift from Chrysler
Volvo does, but I think for a higher mileage. Mercedes does it too.
