How would you like to own a street legal Camry Nascar Clone?
If it's a "Camry", then why does it have "Impala" headlamps?

Cadillac Announces Shield Owner Benefits Program
I think I can clarify JB's point a little... In the corporate environments to which I have been exposed, those who are low on the totem pole (read: younger) understand the Blackberry and would benefit from such an app, however those higher on the totem pole (read: older, higher salary, more likely to have a new Cadillac as a personal or company car) have knowledge of the Blackberry that is limited at best and many approach them with almost an attitude of contempt, certainly frustration. I'm not saying... I'm just sayin'

Coming Crossover Shakeup at GMC
Buick doesn't sell a Yukon and Yukon XL that the Enclave encroaches upon and steals sales from. If Buick and GMC weren't under one roof I don't think the Acadia and Enclave would be as cross-shopped as they are now... but such is the reality of our times.

He Might Be Back!
Someone needs to keep Akerson in check (I can't put my finger on it but the man reminds me of Roger Smith for some reason) and due to the structure of the company that man really can't be Reuss, at least not yet. I'd feel more comfortable without Lutz if Ed Whitacre had stayed on. I think he had better business sense and understood the point of a car company better. Also he was more willing to admit that he wasn't an expert on cars and defer to those (Lutz included) who were.

GM comes to its senses: US to get NG Canyon, Colorado
I've come to prefer all the controls on one stalk to having them on two. I actually like the multi-function stalk.

At least not a radio head unit out of a 2001 Chevrolet Venture...

One of only two Acura ZDX that I've seen ever on the road... the only other time I saw one was last Christmas in Arizona. What an ugly stupid pointless car.

new powertrain for impala?
+1 My 2007 Impala is a refuge from the $h!ty fabric in cars these days... The upholstery is fine. The stereo is also fine. The climate control (dual zone) could be more intuitive (they tried by adding little "sticks" to the knobs in 09) but is otherwise fine. Perhaps Electronic CC in the LTZ maybe but otherwise fine. Minor tweaks to woodgrain and door panels as well as a leather wrapped shifter are all I really have to suggest for this car. As for the necessity for the powertrain switch it's because the 4T65E and 3500 LZE Engines are built out and the car is going to outlive the powertrain that is installed in it. It is cheaper to switch to the 3.6L than keep making the other components for just one car.

C&G in local newspaper
Hopefully that Toyota rep is towing the company line and doesn't actually think that- talk about self deception.

new powertrain for impala?
Yup, lets remember they were going back and forth on RWD vs. FWD and were developing both cars in parallel for a while. The RWD model was to have been evocative of the 1967 Impala too... Pity. Then CAFE came and they had to switch gears, then BK came and put everything in neutral... IIRC was there not a private preview a while back of the design of the new Impala that said it was FWD looking and basically huge inside and out...

The Search Begins in Earnest
Got some more clarification on the Langley vehicle, sounds like he's got some tiny ass aftermarket steering wheel too, and doesn't have the OEM unit among a few other interior mods (that also means no Airbag and I don't want to begin to go down that road)... doesn't sound like it's quite worth it.

The Search Begins in Earnest
February Update: There is a God, and his name is New Old Stock Picked up a set of fobs, a brand new Heritage of Ownership badge, and the Wreath and Crest ornamentation for the C-Pillars, trunk and hood. Also a new Cadillac script badge for the trunk, these pieces have a great amount of detail in them, it's really impressive. Still trying to track down new "Brougham" badges for the vinyl top and trunk lid as well as a "5.7 Litre V8" badge from the 1990-92 Brougham for the other side of the trunk lid (looks kinda naked on that side). Also ordered a Cadillac script badge for the trunk in the newer style font which frankly I find more elegant than the style used on the Fleetwood. Haven't decided which style I'm going to go with on the car, kinda going back and forth on that one. Also found two for sale, each have their flaws. There's this one which is $5'500 1996 model in Langley BC, 190'000km in white for sale without the the custom wheels (thank god), but the strikes against it are a two-way alarm, aftermarket stereo, and exhaust that frankly I do not want nor do I want to deal with. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/2206502529.html Also this 1995 in Walla Walla WA which has ~90'000km in Champagne with Chrome wheels, $4'500 but still have to fight some serious red tape getting a car from the United States to Canada, despite how perfect this one is. http://kpr.craigslist.org/cto/2192511363.html I guess the search continues...

new powertrain for impala?
The EPA ratings for the new 3.6L is 29MPG in the Camaro, in the lighter FWD Impala I'd expect it to be rated at at least 30MPG hwy. The 3.5L is rated at 19/29. That being said, I am confident that a 3.5L can beat the EPA ratings while the 3.6L is usually more bang on with the EPA ratings. My 2007 with the 3.5L got 37+MPG on the highway between Calgary and Vancouver last time I took the trip.
