I woke up Thursday and had enough, found my son's trimmer and went to town with the number 7 guide. It isn't great with my "mature" hairline but it will be better in a few weeks.

Beautiful Cars Appreciation Thread
Not a fan of chrome, whether on plastic or metal. I prefer real aluminum or brushed metal. Most manufacturers are pretty conservative with colour choices now on mainstream vehicles. Lincoln and Genesis are offering some choice.

It's the 35 grand/top trim level with the nappa leather and "ultra suede" on the dash and doors. Probably nicest interior in its shrinking class but not much of a sales success.

1 of 2 - 3 day rental across the pond - VW Golf with automatic transmission - economy car
80's interiors were not good in general .. The most you could hope for was relatively squeak and rattle free. In the 90's the Japanese cars achieved this and their market share took off. We had a Scirocco and CRX in the familly for a few years each in the mid 80's to go along with our Olds.

Golf is discontinued here except for GTI now.

VW could definitely use a CUV under the Tiguan in North America. Not sure what is taking them so long, they could have just made a soft roader version of the Golf like Subaru did pretty well with the Impreza/Crosstrek.

I think the Polo suits under the Golf in VW"s lineup, not a replacement. This is the new Golf..

Especially considering they have dropped sedans and focus on CUV's and SUV's.

G80 compares well to the lower and mid trim German midsizers but without the German or Tesla badge it will be overlooked like the CT6 was. In Asia it might do well where badges are not quite as well entrenched.. Buick was for retirees here who wouldn't comarison shop anywhere else but still made a good run in China.

Yeah I've heard LED headlights/enclosures are super pricey to replace. On G80 pricing, I'm going to guess starting in the mid to high forties to start. With it being a sedan, the global economy tanking and small business closures sure to be massive, it will have trouble selling just like any other new car.
