Pads should last 100k miles+ if you adjust to one pedal driving on a BEV.

Wonder if they will amp the cladding up to this level when the new CX5 and 9 show up within a few years. Hopefully they both grow some inches given how close this is to the CX5.

I don't think so, the XT4 is built on E2XX (Epsilon 2 updated). Trailblazer I believe is VSS-F.. maybe VSS-S (S for SUV). Future smaller XT2 or 3 could use the same.

Tesla sold around 150,000 Model 3's in the USA last year and Musk thinks the Model Y CUV will outsell it (I imagine it will cannibalize a lot of 3 sales given the 3 is the default ~50k electric car currently). The Mach-E is about a direct competitor as you can get for the Y, will be interesting how many people choose it over the Tesla. The Camaro is probably on more precarious ground.. <50k sales, no new ICE RWD platform in site, not popular internationally compared to the Mustang.

Is diesel fuel pretty close in price to unleaded there? Here I believe it is about 5% more expensive half the year and 10% cheaper the rest of it, but I haven't paid attention much the last few years.

Math seems completely random/off for only 11000 miles a year. To save $4125 annually you would need to save $80 or so a week on gas.

It's MSN that parsed out the CR results and posted the article. This is just the worst 65 vehicles from the CR results, the others scored higher than 65.

Took them a long time to enter this segment (similar to how long they took to get the Palisade, Telluride out), but the end results are the same, right up there.

I haven't driven enough vehicles and would be basing it on what I've watched and read of other's opinions. We now have a few Teslas in my extended family and my brother acquired a <40,000km P85d Model S a few weeks ago after shopping performance trims of various midsize Germans. I drove it around the suburbs for about 20 minutes and it blew my socks off in most respects except interior material quality, and it is pretty much too fast off the line for me at full throttle (too easy to give myself motion sickness).

I really don't understand why Mazda still offers the white leather on their vehicles. It looks good in pictures, but we know how it will wear/show dirt. I don't really want to stop wearing denim, spend $800 re-uphostering the driver seat every four years or clean it every week so I don't have to. Surely grey or a shade of brown would be a more popular alternative to the black. I know the Mazda CX5 top trim offers comes with that really dark brown.

I don't think GM is prioritizing market share, they are prioritizing trucks.. Hyundai Kia is within around 10% of them globally by now and could experience gains due to GM exiting much of the sedan market, Europe, India, South Africa etc.

If the Blazer sells 80-100k copies a year compared to 100-120k for the Santa Fe that is not too bad considering how awkward looking it is in comparison. The Traverse will get more volume based on looks and value for families.

I've seen at least three Blazers on the road so far. Caught a view of my first XT6 on the road yesterday, looked a little like a cheap copy of an XC90.

Kind of surprised Corolla's in the US are still manufactured in Japan. Consumer reports could compare 2020 Toyota and Chevrolet to see which brand has the most suction capacity.

I'm curious how well the lane keep assist, road sign assist, radar cruise function in their Safety Sense 2.0. That's a pretty well optioned Corolla. Just missing a heated steering wheel and ventilated seats for four season comfort. Too bad no Android Auto for 2020, I believe the RAV4 got the update.

Very RAV4 with the roof colour change for off-road or sport trim levels. I don't think I would buy a subcompact CUV, especially a 3 cylinder, when compacts are only ~2-3K more.

They have a new 2.5L turbo 4 in the works, it will be on the Sonata N-line, around 290hp and a little more than 300lb ft torque. Maybe a version of that will replace the underwhelming 2.0L in a few years, might get better fuel economy as well.

You won't be able to control whatever is hooked up to this new auxiliary port with the steering wheel controls (other than volume), but you shouldn't lose existing functionality if you are not using satellite radio.

Figured something had to come to replace the Golf. This looks like a very good entry into the segment. The Golf was really good too the last few generations but did not catch on here.

Was going to happen sooner or later, not like Buick would be getting the next gen Insignia to rebadge again. I guess with Opel doing a midcycle refresh for 2020 was a good a time as any to pull the plug.

Seems it is about six inches longer than the Trax. I'm fine with it not being performance oriented, I don't think any vehicles in this class are, the Cruze wasn't.
