  1. "Barracuda"--Heart (just ended) "Smoke on the Water"--Deep Purple (just began)
  2. I gotta little iPod Shuffle for Christmas. it hasn;t left my ears since. It's already full, so I have to boot out old songs to put new ones in. such a hard choice. I have a lot of AC/DC, AIC, Ramones, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, G&R, Disturbed and Face to Face just to throw off a few (I think those are what i have the most of) Currently though it's "Saw Red" by Sublime.
  3. The battery's in the trunk to help with wieght distribution. There should be a remote positive terminal/ground terminal under the hood for jumpstarts. It's just hard to jumpstart from the car to another dead car because the electrodes on the OEM battery are so damn small. and I really never though my cobalt's torque delivery was anemic. I can still slightly chirp the tires in 3rd gear if I try hard enough, and the brakes have saved my sorry distractable behind more times than i care to recount.
  4. I have always always always been a rabid fan of the original 250 California Spyder. That said I like this car well enough, it is gorgeous, and it does seem to take quite a bit from the original, but it STILL cannot hold a candle to the 250. ...But then again, I may just have to see real-world pics of it. Ferrari's stock photography always has/always will suck.
  5. BUMP. I'd say "ask and ye shall recieve", but i think "be careful what you wish for" is a more apt answer.... all in good fun. I wish my Cobalt had a turbo...$h!, did I say that out loud?
  6. I don't see anything wrong with it. the vent does look a little low-rent, but it's nothing I can't get past. It still looks old, it needs a more extensive redesign.
  7. just looks like a facelift.... I dunno, but when I saw it, all I could think was "Chrysler Sebring"
  8. just regular oil changes and replaced the tires/wiper blades once each. Though I don't think refilling the washer fluid every time I turn around counts as too much of an inconvenience. I have a manual, too, and I drive the HELL out of the thing. No problems.
  9. eh...I didn't see it in the thread, so I figured that the rear shot was worth posting. And I never saw it on the front page anywhere, I'd have figured it would be...
  10. here we go. its at Super Chevy. http://www.superchevy.com/features/camaro/...o/photo_01.html have to link, picture won't show... This is big news...wonder why this hasn't made front page...?
  11. I think it was either Super Chevy or Camaro Performers Magazine that had this picture and a rear shot in their magazine this month. I believe they said it was on their site too, I'll have to check. stand by on that. but no, the lights are all dummies, and the grille, while I like it, isn't production either. The scoop they said would probably be functional only on the top-line model. a dummy on the mid level, and not even there on the V6. It may net even be present on the mid-level model.
  12. Like everyone else, i'd rather the Camaro... ...but damn, am I the only one that actually likes it?
  13. I know it was called the Blue Devil during its development, but blue doesn't mix with the Orange or Yellow at all. That Black one is Beautiful, though.
  14. I've been battling my mother's $h!ty old '89 Beretta GT for YEARS. It's toast--it's go so many problems wrong with it, that it's obviously never going to run again. in mint condition, they only blue-book for $500, and in her car's condition (Looks as if it's being held together with bubblegum and scotch tape), it's absolutley WORTHLESS. Yet, she stubbornly refuses to get rid of it, and she wants me to fix the damn thing. Sorry Ma. Not. Possible. so yeah, you got my vote down.
  15. I dunno if this has or hasn't been speculated/confirmed/shot down already before, but I was just wondering, with the release of the Commodore Sportwagon, is there any definitive word on whether there will there be a G8 version as well?

(and since you explicitely requested one...) Aaauuugh...aaahhhh...auuuughhhh ugh. had to go gouge my eyes out on that last one.. curse you, Oldsmoboi...CURSE YOOOOUUUU!!!! *shakes fist*
  17. Am I the only one that actually likes it? Personally, I think that they normalized the front end a little too much; I liked the proto's nose better, but it's not anything I can't overlook. I think it's pretty damn HOT. (but then [skyline] GTR's have always been my guilty pleasure.)

Still waiting for Plum Crazy Metallic....
  19. at least tell me that the engine is still somewhere ahead of the radio. if they changed the layout, this would truly be a tradgedy, that is what makes a Corvette a Corvette. Front-mounted V8, 2 seats, rear drive and t-top(s). If the engine goes behind the seats, it is no longer a Corvette as far as I'm concerned. Am I stubborn and unreasonable? maybe, yes. Am I a Corvette Enthusiast and Purist? Absolutely.
  20. The NFL doesn't need to turn them into role models. Kids already see them that way anyway because they are in the public eye, and like it or not, they ARE role models, and kids DO look up to them, whether or not the NFL has anything to do with it. They should act accordingly, because kids see what they do and they want to be just like them, because in a child's eyes--"hey, they play football. They're cool."-- and that's all there is too it.
  21. FIRE HIS ASS
  22. There have been midengined Corvette false alarms since 1966. I count this as just another one of them.
  23. I really don't see it with the Chevette. I see it with the Passat though, but who cares?
