They make mostly unattractive cars and trucks that I have to see everytime I'm out and about. I didn't have as much of a problem with them when they were making the late '90s Celica, or the Supra.

The majority of our vehicles have been GM, a few Fords thrown in here and there, and most recently some VW's. Currently the GMs are my SS and mom & dad's Enclave, then the siblings' VWs (Beetle, Jetta and GTI). Luckily the Beetle and Jetta are to be put up for sale soon!

I wouldn't mind having a late 3rd gen. one of these days... Is it bad that just today I got excited over the idea of finding a low milage, 2002 Camaro 6 cyl 5 spd with t-tops?

Maybe it's a good thing... could you really live with a 3-speed? I'm the first to say the 4 vs. 5,6,8 speed thing is a load of crap, but the only 3-speed I remember riding in was a turbo Spirit and the fact that it didn't have overdrive sucked on the highway!
  7. Yeah... totally spaced on that option.
  8. Assuming you are referring to the last gen. SS, then the badge is in the wrong place!
  9. My initials are AAS. A while back I also had "SSlvrCamaro."

Don't worry... I was 2 years old by then!
  11. Oh no!!! They're mostly going to sell V6's!!! I might as well just give up all hope... So, the whole point of this article is to say that they will push the more fuel efficient models, but to do it with a very doom-and-gloom tone.
  12. Thanks for the go-ahead... will do.
  13. I don't want a refund, I'm OK with donating the $$. If that can't happen, since Fly has the check, then please let me know so I can cancel/stop-payment on the check. Thanks!

1940(?) Ford Standard I saw the car this morning, on my way to the gf's house, but I didn't know what it was (besides being a Ford) until I saw it on the History channel. There was a show about bootleggers and rumrunners, and they were talking about Junior Johnson and showed him driving one.

Whaaaaat?!? Really? Go to the nearest "Hot Dog on a Stick" ASAP!
  18. Really? Where did you get that number? BMW claims 5.1 for the MT and 5.2 for the AT.

    The Oscar Mayer Wiener-mobile!!!
  20. What exactly are you calling BS on?
  21. It is easier to see a nav screen, and I'm not arguing that point. From personal experience, it is way easier to get directions using turn-by-turn as opposed to full nav. When my uncle got his CTS, what he really wanted was nav. The problem is he hasn't learned how to program it, so never uses it! Guess what he does instead... calls us (since he's from Mexico City and we live in So Cal) and asks for directions. I'm pretty sure it would be much easier for him to call OnStar and have them download directions...
  22. Though I would probably never subscribe to OnStar, I would much rather have them unlock my doors as opposed to some tow-truck driver shoving a piece of metal into my door. We used turn-by-turn in my mom's Enclave, and it's actually pretty cool. Compared to using the navigation in my uncle's CTS, turn-by-turn is easier to set-up (just call and give them an address or they search for one) and is just as effective in giving directions.
  23. I didn't even get it until you pointed it out!
  24. I read this last night... weird $h!! She sat on it so long that her ass grew around the seat, and they had to pry the seat out when she got to the hospital. Edit: The article at the link isn't the one I read. The one I read was longer and had more details!
