Saw an orange Challenger w/ black stripes (going North on the 5, through the OC). Been seeing a few SSR's, lots of Kappas. Even seen a few G8's.

Haven't seen the internet ad, but I did see a billboard (in So Cal) with a blue 3-door.

Jetta TDI to get $1300 tax credit
Great... just last week I convinced myself out of the Jetta and back to the Astra, arguing that the time to recuperate the extra cost by gains in fuel economy was too long. I've been reading up on it at tdiclub.com, and it's a mixed bag when it comes to dealer mark-ups or not. Some people report "invoice +," some msrp, and a few with dealer mark-up.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro revealed!
Yeah, but it's all we got. Plus, the colors have names and a lot of them already exist. So, while it's not accurate in the picutures, we already know what they look like in real life. That's good to hear. Ask if the same (bump in real world milage) applies to the V6 too.

Major Camaro Announcement
Nice to see standard 6 speed manuals for both the V6 and V8. I was expecting better mpg numbers (26 for V6, 23 for V8). My SS is rated at 25 highway (under the new ratings), but gets almost 30 in real-world driving. Hopefully the new Camaros will do the same. In regards to the trim levels, they list LS, LT and SS. What happened to the RS?

2010 Chevrolet Camaro revealed!
Agreed! The radio and HVAC controls could be toned down a bit. Maybe it would look better if they weren't protruding so much... Otherwise, I really like the interior!

The Future Of General Motors
Don't know about the 2.0T in my brother's GTI, but the 1.8T in our Bug and Jetta would go low on oil during the 5k service interval (they would also go low on coolant).

Iran...
Yeah... cuz those Ottoman leaders sure were nice people and all. All they wanted was one big Muslim empire. Who cares about the non-Muslims that were "in their way"...

The Volt
I'm not trying to defend GM for the early intro, possibly delayed release, high expected price tag... All I want to add is this: The Volt isn't really a Hybrid, in the sense that two types of propulsion are combined to drive the vehicle. The Volt is an electric vehicle with plug-in capabilities, just like the EV1, but with an on-board generator. So, GM definitely has experience with that sort of vehicle (not that the EV1 was on the streets for so long, or that they might have worked all the bugs out, but it was there). The sad thing is that, once you look at the Volt in this sense, if GM really learned so much from the EV1 then what's taking so long to make a similar vehicle with conceptual performance specs that aren't that far off? (Right? How far would the EV1 drive on a single charge?)

PANEL TRUCKS
Saw this one in the Coke museum in ATL, apparently it was shipped from Argentina and actually driven through Atlanta to get it to the museum.
