I saw $3.10, for 87, at a Valero around the Sea World exit off the 5 (not the nicer areas in San Diego), $3.40, for 91, at a Mobil outside the UCSD campus! I hate La Jolla and all its inflated prices!

not bad at all... just glad I don't have to worry too much if one pulls up next to me!
  3. I wonder if my local Chevy dealership will let me test drive the new Z06... I mean, they did let me test drive the first one... so it should be a no brainer!

So... am I the only one that really likes the entire car? I've liked it since before this refresh, and after seing it at the LA show it only shows signs of improvement.
  5. :D hmm... that has signs of potential for much more :booyah:

Something tells me this laptop is more then just a "rebadged" Dell. This is mil spec equipment, whose technology is being taken and put in civillian applications. Kind of like when they started selling the original Hummer.

Wow... this has to be the first (and probably ever) thread ever dedicated to me! Well, I guess it's dedicated to San Diego, but my name is in the title. :D Yes, San Diego does have great weather almost all the time, and there is a lot to look at whether it's cars, mansions, scenery, women... Glad you got to spend your summer here, unfortunately I was sent to Los Alamos, New Mexico. When were you here?

WOW! That Camaro is nuts, and so is the pricetag!

    same here!
  10. Yes, but accidents happen. So, if all you care about is the look, then these wheels are the solution.

I remember being able to quote a post, and my qoute would include any quotes that post had. Why does the new board not do that? It will only quote the post without any quotes that it contained.
  12. ahhh... I guess it can be taken as slightly negative. Just this morning I saw a Jetta with the wheels freshly scraped on a curb. I bet that guy would love it if he just had to replace a cover. So, in regards to their verdict... this is a solution for all those people who don't spend big $$ for aftermarket alloys, but like the "look" on their new car.

Not only would I get one, but my girlfriend would love ditching her 02 mustang gt for a new Camaro and my little bro would'nt mind having one either. Even my gf's brother, who is into Fords but has a 9 second Buick GN, is all over the artist renderings of a new Camaro. Besides people who want one, my Porsche loving/driving friend realizes that Chevy NEEDS a Camaro and that it would be awesome to have it back!
  14. But it's not exactly a hub cap either. I think it's more substantial that a crappy plastic cover.

is C&G willing to fund a Vegas trip for a couple of us So Cal members? B)
  16. awesome car (no duh), but why have I not seen any in So Cal? Have they not shipped yet, or is it because there aren't that many?

wasn't one of the insiders, don't remember who, hinting something similar would make it to production? I remember the thread on the last board.
  18. It's funny you say that. I've had that happen to me twice. I'd stop at the yard to pick up another facia for my first car...and I come out to find that they are hunting around for the keys to my car...I was like..ummm no... Then a few months ago the same thing happened to my wagon. Granted its old and rusty..I went in to pick up a trim piece...and I come out to these people lining up their wrecker to my wagon to take it away! I'm like... hehe... to think I was only trying to be a smart ass BTW, I had to copy paste the post by daves87rs in order to quote him and show how he qouted me. On the old board, you just had to reply to the original post, but for some reason that doesn't happen anymore. Has anyone figured out how to make it work?
  19. I'm confused, are you referring to the quoted text in the first post? Because I see no GM bashing there. Are you are commenting on something I missed in the link? Anyway, $30 is not bad at all when it comes to fixing a wheel.
  20. this is a no brainer... you should never park your car in a JUNK YARD! but seriously, I've found the following to be hazardous to a car's health: eucalyptus trees, eucalyptus trees when its pouring rain, any tree that expells lots of sap, any parking lot, anywhere near stupid people etc.

I believe they do. The special attraction was muscle cars when I went.

I've been to the Peterson Automotive museum. It has lots of cool cars, but it was only a handful of what I was expecting to see.

;) I guess some wheels just age better then others...

those wheels were HOT when they came out, and I don't think it's fair to judge them after all these years. just let them be!
