  1. The proportions look better. I thought I was goin nuts, cuz you updated the pic in your original post, but said so in your last post (which I didn't see till later). So, I felt kinda stupid looking at the updated pic and thinking that maybe my original comments were uncalled for.

yeah... which means that it's not a knock on GM if a car with less hp beats the Z06, unless of course it is something in direct competition with it... but we all know that isn't gonna happen! B)
  3. AAS replied to Northstar's post in a topic in Chevrolet
I get your point, but that's a terrible example. The Ariel Atom would whoop the Z06 and i'm pretty sure it makes well under 400 hp.

True, it doesn't mean they have to advertise it as such. But, then why make a big stink about testing with the new SAE system, then fudge the #'s anyway. I'm not saying I don't like GM under-rating their engines, they did it with the LS1 too... it's just funny they would do it after making such a big deal about the new test they used to get those numbers.
  5. Wow... So, we can expect a Turbo and V8 option, along with the coupe we've heard rumors of. I can't wait!

    What's the Hemi actually doing?

Office Desktop: Dell Dimension 4600 w/ 19" flat panel LCDOffice Laptop: Apple PowerBook G4 15"Home Desktop: Apple iMac G5 17"I swore I would never touch a goofy Apple, until my Ph.D. advisor used some fellowship $ to get me the PowerBook. It's cool, so I figured I'de replace the 7 year old Gateway with the iMac.

 I always knew my car had a heavy clutch! Maybe the guy couldn't drive stick, period, but oh well... At least he was smart enough to pick something that would outrun the cops and get good fuel economy! :)
  9. AAS replied to Northstar's post in a topic in Chevrolet
but wasn't the LS7 supposed to be the FIRST engine tested with the SAE's new method? Meaning that if GM says 505, then they mean 505.
  10. SkyHoe... kinda like groupies in the sky?
  11. very good idea, but I think you need to make the doors a bit longer and shorten the wheelbase and take some body out of the middle (basically shorten the truck by chopping out some of the body between the end of the door and the rear wheel well)

You finally picked up the Bimmer you've been wanting? Sweet!

It might not be a rebadge, but it sure as hell looks like the Megane (except the rear isn't as extreme on the Versa)

looks interesting... where are the pics from? what's it supposed to be? (I see it says Epica, but what does that mean to us, if anything)

That is awesome, if it's true! Reading the title of the forbes article made me think this write-up would be a total GM bashing... On the contrary, it points out a lot of good things about the GMT 900's, and just notes that it's too bad that gas prices are rising.
  16. I caught some parts of this video, and was also pissed about the Camaro abuse... but I had no idea this was BS boys garbage! Like most of you guys, I'm also wondering why they are back...
  17. AAS replied to SuperDave's post in a topic in Member's Rides Showcase
nice Camaro, kind of reminds me of a special edition version (was it Berger Chev?)... anyway, I dig the Z06 wheels. That's the only mod I would do to the overall aesthetics of my car, except I would keep the factory finish.

hehe... now that you mention being seen... I saw a girl drop her silver RAZR, and something went flying. Don't know if the screen or battery poped off, but she was able to put it back together.

Wouldn't Kappa be to small for what I think you are hinting at, didn't the insiders say it's not a flexible platform?
  20. I've seen the new Malibu a couple times. I keep mistaking them for the new Impala. The refresh looks good.
  21. AAS replied to Croc's post in a topic in The Lounge
hmm... then my comment on glossy black only applies to all phones other then the RAZR, cuz that thing is sweet in black!
  22. There were times I would wash the 98, and if the conditions weren't perfect (temp., light, humidity) it would either get water spots or water "smears." I finally learned that the only way to clean it and have it stay clean for a reasonable amount of time, was to wash/dry and then use one of those spray on wax things. Anyway... both the LT and LS engines are fun, just in different ways. And yes, they can both eat up the rear tires B) I've somehow managed to get 28k on the OE set of F1's, and i'm currently working on 26k on the second set. BTW, I always loved the tread pattern on the Eagle GS-C!
  23. AAS replied to Croc's post in a topic in The Lounge
I voted black, but only because it's gloss (right?) black. I wish Verizon carried the RAZR, instead I have the Motorola that almost looks like a black racing stripe on a silver phone.

Northstar: excellent job catching this info. I my self skimmed through most of those press release posts, but totally missed this. The etched bulb shields sounds like a very cool detail, and i'm looking forward to seeing the details on the grill and fender vents.

ahhh... so does that explain my avatar too? Do I need to load it somewhere else and link to it?
