  1. Do we know if this car is any bigger than the current ES?
  2. I don't like that triangular thing happening with the whole hood coming down towards the front bumper. I like the center stack, but the arc on the top, (which I immediately said, ENCLAVE!) is way exaggerated and almost looks interferring. If it was a tad more shallow, I don't think it would have been a problem. Alright, better than the last ES which I didn't care for, but NOT a huge fan. HATE the taillamp treatment and where they put the directional lights.
  3. I couldn't agree with you more.I've grown more tolerant of ebonics in the district I currently teach in, but my God, things like totally leaving verbs out of questions or phrases, KILLS ME! "Where he?" Or adding "yo" at the end of everything. This 17-year old girl in resource room yesterday was going to have me crying it was driving me nuts. "We gotta go chill at the club, yo." Oh, and, "Thass whack." Oh, and this one guy I dated ONCE and he did this, I swear, could have stabbed him with a dinner fork it drove me nuts: "I'm a computer programmer over heah... so you tell me you're a teacher over theah. You're so funny Pawlie, you killin' me over heah." I mean, we're physically 3 freaking feet apart from each other and he's gotta keep talking about our distance over here and there. UGH! Oh, and calling it "gravy" instead of "sauce".
  4. That's a shame... I actually liked the Phaeton. In my opinion, it was a great car that no one took seriously.
  5. I'm sure they'll offer 5-passenger seating standard, and the "four passenger" with the power ottomans and other features as some sort of like "executive" or "ultra-luxury" package.
  6. Many Toyota vehicles still give you the cassette player with the CD player or changer. My friend's 04 Prius and his wife's 05 Corolla, both have 6-CD changers w/ cassette players. His 01 Lexus had one with the CD changer... seems to be a common thing for them. I say keep 'em. I still pop in a tape once in a blue moon when I need to laugh at myself singing drunk karaoke.
  7. I'm sure Fly would recommend it be illuminated in "pea-green"
  8. But Sal, you know it's plastic?I have to say though, if they could build faux wood that beautiful, why the hell didn't they put it in the LaCrosse?! I mean, it looks real!
  9. So, Ted, gotta know... how'd the plastic feel in your hands? Was it soft? High Quality? I wonder if this is how many critics review Japanese cars' plastics... rip a piece off and then feel it with their bare hands.
  10. Oh, I'm aware of that. I love Lexus woods--there are several choices and the combos usually go well in my opinion. I like their saddle/antiqued walnut combo on the current LS.
  11. I'm just having trouble even comprehending the numbers!
  12. I recognized your hand--looked just like the other hand from your old avatar holding up the drink in front of your face
  13. Okay, so then I'll say more than half the people I know who have owned Taurus' have had their trannies rebuilt.
  14. LOL, that's what my brother and I say! Every single person I know who owned a first gen Taurus had to rebuild their tranny!
  15. From what people have told me here is that it's not the same transmission they're developing with GM. It's one they purchased. Silly Ford... trying to go out of their way to be competitive! They should take a note from GM and stick with their 4 speeds!

Lucy: "I want the names to be unique and euphonious." Ricky: "Fine, Unique if he's a boy and Euphonious if she's a girl." Lucy: "For your information, those are not names, they're just words." Ricky: "Well, they're the prettiest ones you've mentioned yet!"
  17. So when will we find out which cars the 6-speed auto will go into?
  18. Paolino replied to Satty's topic in The Lounge
:rotflmao: Congrats Satty... you'll make a cool dad
  19. Not that I'm saying we should keep the 3800 around longer, but the fuel economy of the 3900 has been, well, poor.
  20. Paolino replied to buickguy's topic in Buick
Maybe they keep them pea-green to remind you how much money you've spent on the car
  21. Wow, now looking at the old one... I didn't even realize how similar it was.
  22. How often do you overhaul your transmission? I have never experienced that. Sure, it happens, but seriously, I rather take some extra fuel economy and performance for the life of the car, over the "risk" of one day having to fix the tranny. Now, maybe some people hold onto their cars longer than I do, but I think if I hold onto a car for 8-10 years (and in this case, I'm currently driving a 14-year-old car with its original transmission), and never had to replace/rebuild the tranny, then I've made out fairly well. God, now you made me do it.. you made me jinx myself. You know Monday morning when I drive to work the car won't shift out of first, you realize this!
  23. Never thought of that. Good points 91z
  24. You have a point there. However, the V8's in the Impala/MC should have an available 6-speed manual.
  25. Well, legally anywayz. lol
