It's so silly too... cause the whole IP isn't backlit, nor are the HVAC controls, but since Delco made the radio, that's all backlit. As is the little rear defroster button positioned separately from everything else. Obviously the technology was there--why they gotta be so nasty!? lol Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Arg... I think I'd settle for 1) a speedometer that's accurate (mine is about 5mph off--just like the fuel gauge is a few gallons off and my f'in tranny selecter says I'm between N and D when I'm in Drive), and 2), a speedometer that isn't horizontal. I've hated those since as long as I can remember--WAY before I got into cars.

I hava no idea where you getta dee idea theyz some ee-tah-lians here.
  4. The 3800 has an emissions issue? It's rated SULEV in the LaCrosse!
  5. The wood shape on the doors by the handles reminds me of the new Lexus GS design. I tell you, the exterior is okay, but that interior, man, that is like lightyears ahead of the current one.

Sixty8, you know what drives me MAD about your signature? It's the fact that your 80-something Datsun has a backlit instrument cluster, and my 92 Century does not. I HATE my instrument cluster--SO ugly. lol
  7. Didn't come up Fly. As for the other pictures... uh oh. That's all I have to say. C'mon, if this Camry is going to be priced at the current Camry's level... well, who needs a LaCrosse, Malibu, G6, Altima, etc... this is quite a car. I mean, I REALLY love that interior!

Thank you so much all of you--I'll be honest, I'm very new to the car scene--only been into it for like 7-8 years now... this is the ONLY site I go to.. and when it was down, I never strayed.. I just missed it. I will always be loyal to C&G as I find it's content and members to be Grade A :)

Ugh.. you of all people should understand the pleasure of having things crammed up your butt LOL!! Sorry, I just couldn't let it go... I tried, I swore I'd just click the close button, but no, had to say it! lol
  10. But.. Buh... Huh... Wha... How?!?!
  11. Oh man how I want this damn car!
  12. I like the idea of the shale seats with blue piping or vice versa as well as the insignias, but this in my opinion is a great start for Buick to show a little more style. It's not too bold, but I really feel more will come in a few years :)
  13. What I'm saying is that I feel almost like the LaCrosse is a piece of crap. The Lucerne is great, but not ground-breaking. What is Buick going to have? All trucks and crossovers, and maybe if it feels like it, have 1 car? I'm not saying the market has shifted, but do we really need like 30 versions of the same thing? I mean, c'mon, GM has crossovers in Chevy, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, Saab (will be getting)... do we need them in EVERY division!? I just feel the whole damn thing is overkill.
  14. Okay, but how many SUV crossover things are we going to have with the 2 sedans? I just feel like Buick is not going to be a "car" company anymore.
  15. Honestly, the more I look at it, the less I like it. I hate the whole rear 3/4's of the vehicle. I honestly need to see more of it before I'll make my final judgements, however, I just don't care for it much right now.
  16. Well, GM is doing a fine job then... it took them years to catch up to the competition and in what, 6months, a year or two? The competition will blow them away.

I drive to and from work daily at 75-80mph. It's very easy to speed on the highways. Speaking of Town Car, I'm 28 and would LOVE one (just not the last 2 generations!)
  18. Okay, first of all, the 3.3L Camry SE puts out 210hp. Secondly, the Camry is being redesigned and will certainly feature more hp than its current models. This is GM's excitement devision, and it's supposed to spark some enthusiasm. We have 250 and 260hp versions of the Altima. Hell, we have a 235hp Sonata! When you try to make something sporty, and put something out that's rather half-assed, as is this IMO, then you're just continually setting yourself up for either failure or mediocrity. Then again, the G6 is that, at best.
  19. Honestly, those taillamps from the side remind me of the previous gen's Elantra.
  20. Oh 227hp is just PATHETIC.

Okay, so here's what happened today. During one of my preps, this woman brought up how much she HATED her car and would never buy another American car as long as she lived. She has a 2001 Alero, and has had nothing but problems (power window motors burning out of the rarely used back windows, power door locks burning out, radio malfunctions, etc.) The topic in the conference room just became what to buy, what would you get, blah blah blah. This is basically what the poll came out to just by hearing people's responses: What they said, "Most reliable to least reliable" 1) Japanese cars 2) German cars 3) Korean cars 4) American cars So, I interjected with a few facts about American cars' quality while also explaining how there have been numerous problems with the Alero, and it was one of the problems why Olds went down. I recommended Buick (she's in her early 50's), or Chevy to her. She wanted BMW. Wouldn't even listen to try and be persuaded. Then after listening to more conversation in the room, I kept hearing stupid things like "You want a good car? Get a Jaguar." Then I pointed out to them that it's owned by Ford, and that was out of the question. So, I found myself getting REALLY pissed off quite fast, and just trying to stay silent because no matter who opened their mouth, the things that came out were getting me riled up. How would you guys have handled it? What would you have said? I realize no one was in my shoes today, but I get very adamant about people bashing GM as well as other American makes just because of the 90's as well as the biased media. No one wants to see what GM has become, nor address the incredibly high quality of a manufacturer such as Buick.
  22. My God, what size are those rims?! :o
  23. 28 until January 25th. Oh, and I'll tell... Stace is 72! There, I said it! :P

Well, I'll give them credit--they're not stupid. They see this ENORMOUS market and they're leading it and striving to stay tops of the hybrid market. At this point, GM is doing themselves a disservice by not having hybrids available on sedans or SUVs--the longer they stay away, the more difficult it'll be for them to make an impact on the market.

Of course "Prius" and "lead foot" are allowed to appear in the same sentence... you have to floor it to get the weak piece of crap to move. I'm sorry, but try merging onto the Northern State Parkway on Long Island where people are flying 75-85mph right by you, and you have a 10 foot onramp to get up to speed--it can be scary driving a Prius LOL
