Well, let's put it this way.. just be happy they're not getting as much attention as Buick is. I mean, I got all excited about the 3Billion invested, and we have the Lucerne, a great car... then... umm... ???? :huh:

Hey, BV, cheer up... the Solstice is GORGEOUS on the road--I saw my first one last night--it looked like a much-more expensive car on the road than it does in pictures--and to be honest, with that design, I was like, "Wow... Go Pontiac Go!" ^_^

OCN, I agree with you and I've said it in the past. However, since the cars attached made the names great, people associate the name with the car. Since people now associated "Century" and "Regal" with old, bland styling, Buick wants to get away from that association. However, I feel it is foolish to have dropped the LeSabre name since the car was doing so incredible and it was a well-known name.

I agree with what you're saying, however, I feel there should be some sort of option for more power on the CXS. I mean, "sporty" should suggest more power as well--even if it's the 3.6 just with more power, ie. tuned differently or with a turbo. Who knows what's going to happen though. Front end, needs a refresh. Interior, just a few tweaks. Hey, structureless wipers? Why can't the LaCrosse get those? Impala and MC have them, Lucerne has them... give it to the LaCrosse.

God I miss the Roadmaster SO much... that is my idea of a BEAUTIFUL car...

I admit, I don't really care for the new names. I LOVED the name Riviera--I mean, that, just the name alone, screamed class to me. It screamed luxury. Then, the car, well, it was true to its name.

I have great news! I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico! Seriously though, I did. My last insurance company was ROBBING ME BLIND. C'mon, they wanted close to 2000/year for insurance on a 1992 Buick Century (this was in 2003). I pay about 850 bucks/year for the same coverage with Geico.

OMG! My friend Brian and I have the same birthday--and we tend to do and say similar things at the same time. Well, 2 years ago, we both got each other gifts for our birthdays, and we handed each other cards... both cards were the "TP Cruiser" card (we both have the same stomach issues), and both got each other 50 dollar BestBuy gift certifcates LOL

Hmm... maybe the 3800 Standard on CX, 3.6 Standard on CXL/opt Northstar, and Northstar standard on CXS. Three engine choices--that would have been nice :)

I totally agree with you about the high-gloss black paint. I was thinking to myself, it looks black, yet it's so reflective. Never thought of glossy black paint :)

My hope is sooner than later. I mean, it'd be nice if the refresh was for 2007--introduce a new grille, new tranny (6 speed), and a new base engine.

See, I went to the site and every grille looks black with chrome surround--it all just looks like light shining on them. The clincher was the 360 degree exterior view--that was DEFINITELY black. Not sure if I like it more one way or the other. I mean, all chrome is classy, but without the chrome, the Buick insignia sticks out more, and I like that.

Well, I don't believe it's a matter of silencing outside noise so much, I believe it's silencing elements of the car: tire noise, wind noise, engine noise. You can still hear a car horn honk ^_^

Not impressed... really. When are we going to start seeing real test drives of the Lucerne? I would have thought reviewers would have had a chance to snag one by now.

I would love to know what would replace it in the base LaCrosse. I couldn't imagine it'd be around for next year. Putting in the 3900 for a base LaCrosse would make the 3.6 pointless, being that the 3900 gets the same horsepower (if not 1 or 2 more), and more torque.
